“If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that. All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death.” 1 John 5: 16-17

John mentions here that there are sins that lead to death and sins that do not lead to death. That if a brother has been seen committing sin not leading to death then a brother should pray that God gives life to that person who commits a sin not leading to death. John does not indicate whether or not that person needs to repent first of that sin not leading to death before God “….will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death.” This person could be having difficulty being aware of this sin seen by others or it may be some annoying habit they have not overcome so God in His great mercy will respond to the prayers of the faithful and excuse their brother because the sin does not merit death. Then he seems to indicate that if a brother has been seen sinning a sin leading to death, praying for that person to be forgiven for such sins is not something others should do. This does not mean that this person who commits sin leading to death should not be prayed for so that they come to their senses and truly repent. It just means that one should not pray to God to give this person life (forgiveness) when committing such sins because repentance is necessary for sins leading to death.

Now here is the thing you HAVE TO UNDERSTAND.... Even before the EARTH WAS MADE GOD WROTE the names of the ones that HE WILL SAVE IN THE BOOK OF LIFE.... God new every sinner he was going to make a holy man of God even before the sinner was a sinner....

God will not stop the JOB on a sinner, before God worked the whole salvation in the sinner... And God does not call, draw, lead, sanctify, glorify a person to be a sinner..... God takes a sinner and make him a HOLY MAN OF GOD,,, BORN OF GOD.

When is God FINISHED with a sinner? When the sinner is trnasformed into a person that God can place IN GOD. NO sinner can ENTER INTO GOD.... NOT ONE... God has to call/sanctify/justify/and glorify a sinner, to be IN HIM. Even if a person has only ONE SIN, that sin will be REPROVED to the person, that person will have to confess and repent of that sin, and God has to justify the person's sin with the work on the cross, and God has to forgive the sin, take it away, and seperate the person from the sin. NOw the sin is dealt with, and the man is as PURE as God, but the man is not YET GLORIFIED... He is just a Saint.... To complete the Saint God makes that saint ONE WITH HIM... HOW? By giveng the saint the HOLY SPIRIT.... Only now is GOD IN THE MAN, AND THE MAN IN GOD.

Look at Samaria, the city in Acts 8.... Only whne the Apostles laid hands on them, did they receive the Holy Ghost.

Peace be with you, why? And this is the LORD's reminder and the stir up of our memories who walk in ignorance:
1. "Lukewarm (cunning), neither hot or cold. I will spit you out."
2. "Those who were choked with the thorn bushes are those who live to the necessity and pleasure of this earth and their fruit never ripens."
3. "The road (the narrow path) that leads to Heaven is 'very difficult to follow' and only a few will make it."
4. "Many are called but only a few are chosen."

All of this for now is enough for all of us to ponder and understand where do we stand in all our efforts. Have we been obedient to the Words of GOD of our Covenant?
Then have we sown in the right places in our hearts and in others?

Know the LORD is coming soon and are we ready to give an account?

Please make peace with HIM before HE comes back and start living right all of you, including many Christians today, who have become an abomination, due to the lack of knowing first and then 'aiding' to grow according to the words of the Living MESSIAH of the New Covenant.

i am in trouble too because these things were highlighted to me first and then as i see the same with the LORD in others, i freely freely give for the awakening from ignorance may be due to others who are misleading and not acknowledging the Truth Teacher of the Holy Scriptures, the HOLY SPIRIT the anointing placed in us.

Not even so-called "Perfect" (below the standard of our perfect Father in heaven, but at least up to the standard of "perfect Christian obedience") flesh and blood can inherit the Kingdom of God.
I Cor 15: 50 Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable

Why is the Holy Spirit in perishable vessels?
II Cor 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves

If you lower the standard of what, "perfect" means, you can, perhaps find an elite group that believe they qualify! If it no longer means "perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect" but "perfect Christian obedience" an elite group can be duped into believing that they meet the requirements and will declare themselves "perfect". Count me out. Our God does not lower standards to let people in. He holds an impossible standard and empowers people to make it anyway. I will humbly accept, as Paul did, that I have an old nature that needs to be crucified and a new nature that needs to dominate. I will submit to his pleas for me to put off the old nature and to put on the new, to walk in the spirit, not in the flesh. I will choose the new nature and live with the hope of holiness.

Rom 8:24,25 For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one also hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.

Exactly. A floating threshold of obedience that matches their level of performance based on their inability to perceive, or unwillingness to acknowledge, their own iniquity.

It's clear that people just don't understand being "dead" to sin. Again, being dead to sin means that sin no longer has dominion over our lives, our nature. We (and sin's dominion over us) were buried with Christ, and we (and our salvation from sin) arose with Christ.

This does not mean we are perfect, rather it means that the Holy Spirit who indwells with us is perfect. We are not "sinners" if we have been born again, we are made worthy to become heirs to the Promise, and worthy to be called the children of God. Sinners can not qualify for either.

People who believe that they remain "sinners" even after accepting Jesus into their lives, are accepting/living a "defeatist" lifestyle in my opinion. Those who are not saved can not say the same thing. What we must come to understand is the necessity for sanctification. We must grow beyond the "milk" stage of our life in Christ into the more mature "meat" stage. We must leave behind the "carnal" stage of our walk with Christ, and mature and grow into the "spiritual" stage of our life with Christ.

We may not be perfect, but He who is in us, and in whom we trust IS. The difference between sanctified believers and non believers is that we have His indwelling presence, and HE IS without sin. It is HE who covers our sin with His precious blood, and HE who stands in the gap for us. People tend argue from the "carnal" position rather than the "spiritual" position, and this is why I think people should study and learn of sanctification and how that enables us to achieve this "new nature."

I am not perfect, but He who resides within me IS. I don't do/achieve anything of myself, rather it is He that resides within me that works through me, and this is the "fruit" of sanctification IMO. What He is able to accomplish through us, are the good works we are rewarded for IMO.

I don't dwell on sin, I don't live in sin, rather I dwell on Him, and He dwells in me. To dwell on sin, to live in sin, sinful nature and such is to live a defeatist life. I am not defeated. Because of Him, I have the Victory assured.

Again, it is impossible for the new nature to sin because the new nature is Christ; Christ does not sin. If we sin, it is because we have been disobedient by not walking in the spirit of grace through faith, which caused us to do the longings of the old nature that caused us to transgress the law of GOD.

God's children cannot sin, but what we are considering sin as what we do in our physical nature and which Jesus had nailed His flesh to the cross and buried it. Its says that God look at the heart not the outward appearance; but if someone wants God to judge the outward appearance, He will do it like He had done with the demons that came out of the man and went into the herd of pigs. Some people does things to hurt someone because they desire to do so; but others does it because they were force to, but in their heart, they'd hated it, and that is showing love from the heart and which that is not a sin. Its says that Jesus had already condemned sin of the flesh and enter into His new body and which some of us will be wearing it. It is not flesh, but a multi-dimensional array of some sort.

Peace be with you, please continue moving forward to Romans 8, the answer from the struggles in Romans 7.
"Therefore there is no condemnation to those who belong to CHRIST. For the Law of the HOLY SPIRIT sets you free (from sin if one continues to practice the Law of the HOLY SPIRIT, teachings to excel, showing true repentance in action of faith that is when one 'abides' in the 'Words of spirit and life of the HOLY SPIRIT', that came out from the mouth of the Living MESSIAH, the author and finisher of the New Covenant).
Let us not be in ignorance because unless believers continue to sow in the things of the HOLY SPIRIT written in the New Covenant then they may enter GOD's house of rest in future. As it is written that eternal life is assured and sealed because of CHRIST for all believers who have accepted and come to the New Covenant (contract) which GOD has made. But believers need to understand further that one must continue to add to their initial faith (the gift of GOD), a work out of their salvation in fear and trembling, in order to enter 'that place of rest' also mentioned, written in the New Covenant. Romans chapter 8 clearly reminds all believers that there is a work out to be done (a sowing), either continuing sowing in the things of carnality (flesh) and reaping second death. Or sowing in the things of the HOLY SPIRIT and reaping true life to eternal life.

Romans 8 starts by stating in first verse; "Therefore now, there is no condemnation 'for those' .............", and the truth goes on in the continuing verses to illustrate who are 'those' mentioned;
1. Are they those who remove and continue in false practices/work outs, sowing according to the things of the flesh further reaping second death, who are further not condemn?
2. Or are they those who remain and continue in true practices/work outs, sowing to the things of the HOLY SPIRIT of the New Covenant further reaping true life for eternal, who are further not condemn?.

i would myself also rather love to remain at Romans 7 and many other Scriptures taken out of context in order to be excused and believe being free from condemnation and also be a witness to others. But the HOLY SPIRIT the Teacher who leads us to sound doctrine has highlighted in other Scriptures that i am only fooling myself in continuing and am short sighted in believing such confessions, believing and remaining in partial truth taken out of a 'finished' complete context the sound doctrine of the New covenant).

No one can escape from the double edged sword sharper than any other sword, which is of the Living GOD who made the New Covenant through HIS SON with HIS saved people. Where man and women who believe are called to 'continue/abide/keep' in them that leads toward living faithfulness first and then the Old Covenant, a living truth based history as a reference to remember a spirit filled living faithfulness conducted by man and women documented and also a carnal dead unfaithfulness conducted by man and women documented.

Indeed every man and woman shall stand before the LORD to either be judged worthy of eternal life, or to be spewed into the eternal lake of fire.!!.
And how else will we receive our prize if we stand not before HIM and receive what is rightfully ours?
