Nobody should be condemning any believer as not saved, but we all should not ignore the fiery trials for what they are.

what exactly do you think is the fundamental difference in quoting scripture and handing someone a copy of scripture and saying "here, read this" ?

how different is it if i call you on the phone and read the text of this post, or if i just post it, and let you read it?

do you see a difference in 'loving as Christ loves' and verbally giving someone the Word of God? did Christ not speak?

if the scripture condemns us, it's not the person quoting, reading or handing out written copies of the scripture that's condemning the sin in our lives, it's the scripture itself.

Yes biggiestomp, the only time you see addicts stand up and say, "Hello my name is ______ and I'm an addict" is at NA or AA. I am among my Christian Brethren who are all sinners as I am a sinner. Paul said that where sin abounds, grace abounds. So why is it wrong that among my Christian Brethren I stand up and say, "Hello my name is Colin, and I am a gay man." Here is the secret of my life laid bare before my brothers, and instead of receiving the Love that Christ has sent to abound in us, I get "How dare you claim your sin!" Is this not what we are here for, healing and fellowship? Among Christians, I accept my sin and my responsibility for it. If I hid my sin, then I would not be letting the light of God pierce the darkness that is my soul. Instead, I wear my sin, knowing that grace will abound, and that the Lord will help me stave off sin by rebuking temptation.
Well ThomistColin, I don't see that as biblical teaching. You wear your sin, knowing that grace will abound? Sounds good, but not biblical. We are to wear the armor of God, not our sin. But again, do as you please in claiming your sin as a title. But this type of teaching is far from biblical. Paul saying, where sin abounds, grace abounds, has nothing to do with holding your sin as a title to who you are. It is not your sin that defines you, but God's Grace!

I do not think a Christian Chat room is a place for people to bad mouth the WORD of GOD. God's Word is a two edged sword and it saves and condemns. Many in here are very liberal or agnostic or just pain atheists who condemn the effect of the Holy Spirits work of convicting sinners of their condemnation to the lake of Fire. This is natural for sinners to object to God's work; but, should not affect our preaching the whole Word of God's and seeking to save the lost who are here. We Christians should be careful to coutch our words in as nice a way as possible, Sorry when we don't. But ,Please let
God be God and every man a lier who fights the obvious meaning of the Word of God. Love to all who love God in sincerity. Hoffco

If the unsaved don't understand that Christians are the salt and light of the world and that salt and light are very uncomfortable to you who love darkness. Please read Jh.3:1-36 and see the cutting words of Jesus to nicodemus, without the conviction work of God, Nic. would have killed Jesus with the rest of his coleges. Please ask God to save you and give you a heart to love God and to love God's children. Love to all, Hoffco

Paul is talking in the SPIRIT, not the flesh, what is he saying. ? Israel sinned wickedly, Idolaters,v.7 Sexual immorality,v8 complainers,v.10, the fleshly sins,v.18, Using my liberty to hurt a brother,v.223-33, We live holy lives so others will follow us and be saved. v.33. Do you see what Paul s God is saying? Love to all who love Jesus in secerity and in truth. Hoffco
And you might need to re-read your post above, and might see what you yourself is doing, using your liberty and hurting others with your accusations, and more importantly God whom has loved you and given you Mercy, that you are not showing back in appreciation, I am sorry for you being caught up in being legalistic, praying god shows you the depth of his Love, that I am glad you don't want to take advantage of it or frustrate it, yet Brother are
Love you as in Eph 3:16-18, the depth, and width of God's love, not based on any man's works, for if any man could ever be righteous perfectly on his own accord, then Christ here and died for nothing.

Hey, Don't don't thrown that word around , like you think the authors of theBible were "perfect"? no way, but they were sincerly tring to be PERFECT< if youare not TRYING to be PERFECT< you are not saved! Or, very backslidding! Phil.3:14-15
No flesh in God's sight will ever please God. Only one flesh did and that is Christ Jesus, known as the second Adam, a life giving Spirit.
Boils down to flesh dead spirit trying to be righteous and can never on its own. or Spirit alive a gift from God by the resurrected Christ? Any works before and or after belief are dead works if one is trying to be. Only by belief, does one receive, the gift, and if any works are added to a gift it is then no longer a gift, praying God shows you this truth

I have only read a few posts in this column. It's not worth my time really. So, it must be okay to be a murderer and be a Christian? or be an adulterer and be a Christian?
If one forgets that God does forgive murder also, then one should then also a serious problem with David,Moses and Paul. Remember what God called David? Wasn't David called the man after God's own heart? Didn't Jesus say there is not sin under heaven that can not be forgiven but one? The questions should be is one continuing in it? And the second has the person been forgiven?

And do we forget to look in the mirror of the things we so much know that God hates in our own lives that He has forgiven us for and we still continue to struggle with? All the times we stumble and fall and yet He continues to pick us up and restores us?

I have a son living in Homosexuality, Soo it hurts me very much , and I want to help those who are in this damnable sin , it will take you to Hell. Hoffco
2 Corinthians 10:6 And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.

So do you love him? Do you really think God does not love him? How many sins did Christ go to the cross for? How many from Father's vantage point are left for you, even though you might sin again, not wanting to?
Is it not the kindness of God that teaches us to trust God? and thus willingly change trusting God as to what is best for us.
Now if I came to belief in God through fear, not reverent fear, fear of being punished, then I would strive hard to obey, and see it as impossible eventually to obey perfectly and then would be convinced I am damned to hell, as what the enemy wants.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 8:34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
2 Corinthians 5:14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.

I am glad you want to be perfect, and soon you will see there is no way you can, not of or in your own self ever. This is why Christ came to redeem us through him and bring new life to us, in the Spirit of God the Father, done at the resurrected Christ, once one believes it is finished no more works on my part, and Father shows us the righteousness we get to partake in and not imitate, "partake"
you see Hoffco. do I have or you or anyone else have any righteousness of our own? we might think we do, but do we? using the standard ("perfect") that is we can maybe hold 8 apples under water with two hands, but can't hold ten down at once with both hands it is an impossibility, such as is the Law. we can't be perfect, we can try, but just can't do it. an impossibility.
so this is why Christ came to earth to first kill flesh, by condemning all sin to flesh,(Rom 8:3) so we then can die with Christ by Faith and be made alive in the Spirit by Father through the resurrection of Christ by Father.
God today can only ne worshipped how? Flesh as you are trying so hard to do, or Spirit where no sin is possible? John 4:23-24
[h=3]John 4:23-24[/h]New International Version (NIV)

[SUP]23 [/SUP]Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. [SUP]24 [/SUP]God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

Tom, if you come to my church ,I want you to ask for help, grace to leave you sin, or you must leave my church and not come back until God saves you, you can not be around Christians and take pride in your sin, no sinner will ever stand up and say,
I am .... and not weep in my presence for help, and be accepted by me, I am delievered, you can be delievered if you REPENT! Hoffco
A little self-righteous using grace as your excuse if you sin, or have you quit sin and your obedience perfect playing /Church

The Lord is my help, my sponsor, my advocate, my God, my King, and our Bridegroom. If He were to alleviate me or heal me of this inclination then hallelujah, but I am seeking to be chaste for Him.
Tom, God does just love you, which I think you know are being taught by my Loving Father, seeing this unfathomable love that flesh itself can never do. Keep seeking truth and have a personal relationship between the two of you and grow in his amazing grace through Son, not ever wanting to take it for granted as I am seeing you see
Thanks, pm me if ever you want I am here for help, not condemnation, Thanks

Please study 1Cor,10 in light of Heb. 3:19 & 4:6 Israel was not allowed to go into the promise land because of their sin of disobedience abd unbelief. They were lost , The land was a picture of the rest of salvation ,Heaven. we who believe ,rightly believe, repent and believe and live holy, have the promise of Heaven, and we are seen as presently beginning to enter Heavens rest in the figure of enjoying Heaven, walking with God, on earth. Heb.4:3.
This is done by belief and belief alone in the finished work of Christ where through his death we are made perfect to be able to talk to Father directly and get the gift of new life in the Spirit of God the Father thanks to son doing this for us. So just keep, on trying and falling short, hoping you come to the end of the energy of your own flesh, and see truth as it is from God through Son and then walk as he walked by Faith, all works he did was not him, it was God the Father through him the only one righteous

Tom. thank you for that good confession of faith, you are no longer a practicing Homo. but a delieved Homo, going on the straight and narrow, praise God, You may be saved , i hope so, it depends on the rest of you testimony, Do you love the Bible, or are you fighting it? Do you love and fellowship with good Christians, or do you despise them? etc.
Note : the below verse was before the cross, and was to show us all our inability to be perfect in and of ourselves, if one reads it all in context, for the disciples here in this Chapter after seeing the rich man walk away sad, asked Jesus how then is it possible for anyone to enter Heaven, Jesus replies the below
Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

So when is it possible before or after the cross, where Christ took away the sin of the world in his Father's sight and why? So Father would give us new life in the resurrection

[h=3]Matthew 19:17[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]17 [/SUP]And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments

Enow, these are great verses that tell us to be filled with all fruits of righteouusnes. love God not the world, they tell you , that, just believing is not enought for salvation,.We must repent of all evil in our lives to be forgiven by the blood of Jesus Lk. 24:47 is so needed today. Repent for the forgiveness of sin. Hate and forsake sin to find mercy 1Jh, 1:6-10"walk in the light and the blood of Jesus will cleanse us of sin." confess and forsake sin. Love to all,who walk in the truth, Hoffco
'
How is that roller coaster going Hoffco? up one day or a week and if really doing good, maybe a month, and then here comes the messenger of who? to do what?
2Cor. 7 good read on that one, time to be humble, and see what. God grace is what? So hard to see truth in the whole, and through belief be set free form all the stress, and thus change to love as God loves all right? Is god merciful or a tyrant? Could man any man before Christ or after Christ ever be perfect on their own? Was Christ perfect? Then why did Christ go to the cross? If Christ was and is perfect there was no need for him to go to the cross was there? So if he did not go there for himself who did he go there for?

Psalm 33:5
The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.

Isaiah 59:2
But your iniquities have separated
you from your God;
your sins have hidden his face from you,
so that he will not hear.

Isaiah 30:18
Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!

God loves people who commit homosexual acts the same way He love liars, thieves, murderers.
He however lungs to see souls surrendered at His feet. A life where I accept telling lies, or commit homosexual acts hinders the lives of Christians.

Jude 1:
[SUP]20 [/SUP]But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, [SUP]21 [/SUP]keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Be merciful to those who doubt; [SUP]23 [/SUP]save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.[SUP][f][/SUP]
[SUP]24 [/SUP]To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— [SUP]25 [/SUP]to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
That appears as to me as all trust and no flesh works, as many translations do point to flesh works and was never meant as to be used to keep one perfect: only through trusting God is one perfected through Christ. Flesh just can't do it and the harder one tries, the more one sins in private, I remember trying so hard in the energy of my own flesh, it has taken an amazing amount of grace to see me through and just now trust Father by son's finished work at the cross, where he alone has made me Holy before Father and today I now continue in that Faith, no longer sowing to my flesh to keep from corruption, that only by that brought it on.

Where sin abounded, grace much more abounded leading me to just trust Father through Son, and thus The work that was needed is done in me too by the finished work of Christ. Oh boy the freedom in being born again from God wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no stress no mess, stress and make a mess

So, you think God loves the wicked? I have news for you , someone lied to you! Psa 5:5"..You hate all workers of iniquity." Psa.7:11 "God is a just judge, and God is angry with the wicked every day." Rom.1:18"The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness." The every day sunshine and rain does not mean much as far as Heaven and Hell are concerned. "all the wicked will be turned into Hell."
Love to all Hoffco
I highlighted the important part, so God did not love us all while we were yet sinners and die form us.
god wants sacrifice over Mercy or Mercy over Sacrifice?
Matthew 9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Yes no one ever learns until they seek to learn and ask to know, yet answering with condemnation is not the answer when it is:
[h=3]Romans 2[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

2 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. [SUP]2 [/SUP]But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. [SUP]3 [/SUP]And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? [SUP]4 [/SUP]Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
