So I read a yahoo new's article today talking about the rise of atheist churches.
The article was pretty sad.
"On Sunday, the inaugural Sunday Assembly in Los Angeles attracted several hundred people bound by their belief in non-belief. Similar gatherings in San Diego, Nashville, New York and other U.S. cities have drawn hundreds of atheists seeking the camaraderie of a congregation without religion or ritual."
Thats a lot of people who have been misguided, mislead, and who need prayer. Then the article goes on to say,
"They don't bash believers but want to find a new way to meet likeminded people, engage in the community and make their presence more visible in a landscape dominated by faith."
I sure would like to see a landscape dominated by faith! The only faith I seem to see is satan worship, and faith in oneself.
Oh, it gets even better,
"Hundreds of atheists and atheist-curious packed into a Hollywood auditorium for a boisterous service filled with live music, moments of reflection, an "inspirational talk" about forgotten — but important — inventors and scientists and some stand-up comedy."
Just out of curiosity, What kind of music do they sing?
Oh it tells you ''renditions of "Lean on Me," ''Here Comes the Sun" and other hits that took the place of gospel songs."
And what exactly is the point of all this? Glorify man, not God? Doesn't it seem more logical to seek the truth rather than to create your following, and follow the following?
Every one has questions I feel about their religion. I had questions myself at one time. But it didn't take to long to find real answers and discover that history not only backs my religion, but when following what God commands me to do, How evident he is in my daily life!
I know its a blessing that God made it supper easy for me to find the truth. I was born in the USA, I could have been born in a country where there is no religious freedom. I have christian parents, I could have been born into a family of any of the many faiths. I could list Gods blessings on and on, So yes I was very fortunate that He made it so easy for me to find him.
I am just amazed at how many of these people have the same information available to them, But chose not to believe.
The history of the bible, and everything in it so amazing! To not believe I think would be scary!
