Thomas' comment about my soul wrenching questions made me think about house fires. So. If your house was burning down and you could only save ONE thing, what would it be?

RULES: Must be a material item. There are no children, pets, elderly grandmothers or baby mice in the house. You are not allowed to be the more righteous person and run outside, forsaking ALL earthly possessions. You must choose one in order to get the door open and get out.

Maybe you got a new job at a marketing firm?

Are we going to get cut in on this?

If we give you two answers, do we get paid double?

So i have to choose between my laptop or my cell phone? Then i'd probably die in the fire trying to decide.

hmm, graciousreign, I am not sure, that's a good question, probably my bible. I've written an awful lot in it and I don't want to lose it all. I could live without everything else, replace it someway, somehow, but the words God's shown me I would want to keep with me. Whatever I saved, I would pray it would be the item I could best serve God in the future with.

I sure hope (and pray) my place don't burn down now :D

What, your phone isn't permanently in your back pocket, thereby making it an article of clothing and included when saving yourself? If this isn't the case, it should be. We might both get butt cancer, but at least we'd have our cell phones AND laptops.

Yeah purse is kinda necessary. If my purse was already outside, probably a few keepsakes -pictures, letters, poems and books :)

Butt cancer is nothing to make light of. Especially when it results in buttectomy. This has become epidemic...

Green's answer reminded me that I have an old old bible I think goes back to some family before even living in usa. It's too fragile to really even turn the pages but I wish I could because it has all these writings. Anyway, I'd grab that.

honestly, other than my family, i'd be trying to get all my cats accounted for and not worried about the stuff. i have so many cats i wouldn't have time to go for anything else, plus i'd have to go back after my son at least twice while he went in for his laptop or ipad or something.

hmm... i guess i should grab the kids laptop; keep him from going after it himself.
