Jesus said woe unto the pharasees

the truth is the truth

Matthew 7
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

[SUP]22 [/SUP]Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
[SUP]23 [/SUP]And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Aren't you scared? Aren't you terrified? You are judging a child of God, claiming he doesn't walk in Christ and fails to believe in His atonement. Aren't you convicted? Where is your fear? If you do this to my brothers and sisters, you better be careful as well. God is loving, but he is vengeful.

While there is some debate on when Jesus was actually born, we recognize His BIRTH on December 25. Thus you could call that day His BIRTHDAY. Don't you, dear OP, give your girls birthday gifts (ok maybe one) on THEIR birthday?

To feel others are condemned when they act in good faith in the sight of the Father is judging. Allow others to worship as they believe fit with a clear conscience in the sight of Yahweh lest your own thoughts come back on your head. Yahweh is Almighty, and He is Love. He is too strong to do such a weak act as to condemn those who are doing their very best to please Him, and He knows who each one is who practices this, no one else does..............

With right judgement, your only here to stir up trouble, and ask random questions, like you usually do in every other thread pretty much. I might have missed a few you haven't, but so far, I observe you and others on here. Guests are watching us as well...if you didn't know

They argument is that A) it's not really his birthday B) it's a pagan holiday at its roots So using that kind of logic will not be effective.

Though, as usual, the people who rant so adamantly against supposed pagan traditions (like holidays) often use or approve of other pagan traditions (like wedding rings) that are common in culture. But yet those are somehow ok.

i dont understand are you saying we are to celebrate these feast
Yes, we are to celebrate the Feasts of the LORD...

Lev 23:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
Lev 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
Lev 23:4 These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

Lev 23:14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

Lev 23:21 And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

Lev 23:31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

Lev 23:41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

I'm not Catholic, everyone is a saint who is Christian.
There are some conditions...

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

LUKE 18
9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

I just feel the need to praise the Lord here because this thread seems to be getting mean and ugly. (sorry ugly)
Psalm 143:8
Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
Thank you Jesus that you were born but more so that you died and redeemed our souls.

since we all seem to disagree to the concept of what is or what is not wouldn't it be easier to take the statues of st.peter,st.Paul,Mary joseph, the wise men ect. and sit them all in a row and take a group of children and ask them to point to the ones that are images that were carved or casting's that a man made and decorated?

Slight tangent, but one that could be applicable to those of you celebrating Christmas.....

At our kids' birthday parties, instead of giving gifts to them, we ask family and friends to give a gift or money to an orphan or a child in need. Our kids look forward to that every year.

That sure seems more powerful than kids getting gifts on someone else's birthday.

And a very nice lesson for them to learn. Kudos!

No, respect their beliefs. If they think Christmas is the left-overs of a pagan celebration, respect their consciences and don't tempt them to sin against it. Maybe you could talk them into Hanukkah gifts. Jesus went to the temple for Hanukkah.
