Actions speak louder than words

Titus 3
[SUP]9 [/SUP]But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And let our's also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

When someone is posting wrong, or, sometimes even antichristian, preachings, then it our duty to call them out on it. If that seems unkind to you, then I'm sorry.
Teaching the Pre-Trib Rapture doctrine is wrong.
Teaching the OSAS (Once Saved, Always Saved) doctrine is wrong.
Praying in public, since it is against the words of Jesus Christ, is antichristian.
Owning guns, since Jesus Christ never owned or used a weapon, is antichristian.
I believe in a post-trib rapture, but I'm considering changing
that position just so I can disagree with you on all points.

Quote from John_S:

Praying in public, since it is against the words of Jesus Christ, is antichristian.

End Quote......

1st Timothy 2:1) I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men. 2 .) For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 .) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 .) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 .) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 .) Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. 7 .) Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. 8 .) I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

James 5:13) Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. 14 .) Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 .) And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16 .) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Acts 13:1) Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2 .) As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 3 .) And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

QUOTE:

Owning guns, since Jesus Christ never owned or used a weapon, is antichristian.

END QUOTE:

Matthew 26:51) And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear. 52 .) Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. 53 .) Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

John 18:10) Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. 11 .) Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

Jesus never owned an automobile...........ergo automobiles are antichrist.
Jesus never owned a home........ergo homes are antichrist.
Jesus never owned an air conditioner.......ergo air conditioners are antichrist.
Jesus never owned a pair of jeans.......ergo jeans are antichrist.
Jesus never owned a radio/TV..........ergo radios/TV's are antichrist
Jesus never owned a computer...........ergo computers are antichrist.

I hear you. :) This was bullying, though, not sharpening. They PM'd me and when I ignored them there, they had their friends come into the thread and attack me there. I think I ignored 4 people in a five minute span of time. :( It wasn't until the next day that I thought, "Wow. I was being bullied." This has actually given me pause about contributing to the young adults forum in the future. I will at least be very, very cautious. I don't need to be bullied by twenty-somethings that read my posts incorrectly and then attack me because they refuse to accept that they misunderstood the post in the first place. :) I am all for lively debate, but inconsiderate abusive things I won't tolerate.
Perhaps they didn't misunderstand you at all. What if they understood you fully & wanted to misdirect your message in the eyes of others? Happens quite often 'round here, especially in the Bible forum. Conspiracy nuts needn't not to search the internet....... They can find quite a bit right here.;)

".....at what point do we stop quarreling with posts?"
Perhaps at the point when folks become willing to seek out and follow the truth, rather than advancing a doctrine they have been taught.

14 Remind them of these things, and solemnly charge them in the presence of God not to wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers. 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. 16 But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for [e]it will lead to further ungodliness, 17 and their[f]talk will spread like [g]gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18 men who have gone astray from the truth saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and they upset the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness.”
20 Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor. 21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. 22 Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. 23 But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce [h]quarrels. 24 The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, 25 with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive [i]by him to do his will.

Wrangling with words
Refuse ignorant speculations

The FACT IS that 1.5 billion people, one-fourth part of mankind in the world today, are compelled to DISbelieve the whole subject of the Gospel, because of their faith in the false prophet Muhammad alone. They are also taught that to confess that Jesus is the Son of God, or even to pray in Jesus' name, would be to commit the single most "heinous" and only unforgivable sin, in the false prophet Muhammad's antichrist anti-religion.
THE FALSE PROPHET MUHAMMAD
This same group is commanded by Muhammad to terrorize and conquer all kingdoms and subjugate all people in the world to themselves.

Quran Surah 9.29 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. 30 The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!
JIHAD AND ISLAMIC TERRORISM
Thereby ultimately subjugating all of humanity to specifically disbelieve the crucifixion of Christ, deny the Son of God and reject His sin-atoning shed blood, as articles of faith in THE false prophet Muhammad alone.

These are matters of fact - not "word wrangling" or "ignorant speculation". Confirmed by Islam's 1400 year imperialistic history, including the First Islamic Jihad, and in stunning fashion by Islam's terrorists - Muhammad's true followers - around the world today, during this Second Islamic Jihad imperialistic conquest of the world.

Bukhari, V1 B2 #24 Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Allah's Apostle said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle.....

"Summarized Sahih Al-Bukhari" - Maktba Dar-us-Salam's page 580
Chapter 2. The best among the people is that believer who strives his utmost in Allah's Cause with both his life and property.
footnotes:
[1] "Al-Jihad (the holy fighting) in Allah's Cause (with full force of number and weaponry) is given the utmost importance in Islam and is one of its pillars (on which it stands). By Jihad Islam is established, Allah's Word is made superior, [His Word being La ilaha ill-Allah (which means: none has the right to be worshipped by Allah] and His Religion (Islam) is propagated. By abandoning Jihad (may Allah protect us from that) Islam is destroyed and the Muslims fall into an inferior position; there honour is lost, their lands are stolen, their rule and authority vanish. Jihad is an obligatory duty in Islam on every Muslim, and he who tries to escape from this duty, or does not in his innermost heart wish to fulfill this duty, dies with one of the qualities of a hypocrite.
[2] Of course, nobody can offer Salat (prayer) and observe Saum (fast) incessantly, and since the Muslim fighter is rewarded as if he was doing such good impossible deeds, no possible deed equals Jihad in reward.
JIHAD AND ISLAMIC TERRORISM

While the "word wrangling" and "ignorant speculation" in this forum, is nearly unanimously engaged in, by folks whose doctrine - whose entire approach to prophecy - necessarily precludes them from even considering that Muhammad could be THE false prophet of the book of Revelation. Isn't that interesting?

Yet when we look to those of the former age and search their fathers as instructed, it is almost impossible to draw any other conclusion, within the traditional historicist approach to prophecy through which all Jews and Christians understand Old Testament prophecy was fulfilled, and the church including those great men of God of the Reformation understood New Testament prophecy was being fulfilled, until the Roman Jesuit counter-reformation eschatologies of futurism and preterism began to come into vogue in the 19th century.
TRADITIONAL HISTORICISM

Avoid empty worldly and empty chatter

The passage names people doing it, and what they were teaching

Indeed. Certainly a specific indictment of preterism via
Hymenaeus and Philetus, while futurism - which in its entirety is pure speculation about some future someday - could well be characterized as "ignorant speculation", since we are all necessarily ignorant as to what the future will bring.

Isaac Newton: "The folly of interpreters has been to foretell times and things by this prophecy [Revelation], as if God designed to make them prophets. By this rashness they have not only exposed themselves, but brought the prophecy also into contempt. The design of God was much otherwise. He gave this and the prophecies of the Old Testament, not to gratify men's curiosities by enabling them to foreknow things, but that after they were fulfilled they might be interpreted by the event, and his own providence, not the interpreters', be then manifested thereby to the world. For the event of things predicted many ages before will then be a convincing argument that the world is governed by Providence."

Do not be quarrelsome yourself but kind, able to teach, patient when wronged

in gentleness - correcting those who are in opposition

How many of us in our posts and responses are doing this?
All are invited to present a substantive argument against the preceding.
If you are hesitant or unable to, what does that say about what you have been taught, about the book of Revelation?

NOPE! Sorry Chatter I would have LOVED if you show the Scripture that explains this mystery. Jesus talks about it. Paul does as well. And even if we post it it will still be a mystery to some.... Do you have another idea? It has something to do about Christ in a person and the person in Christ... what can the WORLD not receive, that will be a mystery to them forever?
I don't have ideas, I have truth. One must have patience going through trials no matter how long it takes.

and that is trusting that an answer will come in it's own time. That is faith.

Who even reads posts that long?
I do if I know the person/author, and if it is a subject I'm interested in, and if they are Christians.

It's a full time job for me to study the Word of God, I don't have time to study earthly religions, and don't really want to anyway. I'm not really interested in what Muhammad had to say about, well, about anything.

Just the way it is.

I will read them if they are actually saying things, not just copy/pasting Scripture. I like to hear what they believe and have it backed with a verse, either a few verses typed or a large portion referenced. When someone copy/pastes the whole chapter, I'm like, "Yeah. It's in my Bible, too. Got it. Thanks." And so I just kind of skip through, trying to find their statements telling why they posted that whole chapter. :) And, when they use like five different font sizes and colors, well, then I don't even bother.

What can I say? I'm kind of rude like that. :)

:) Yes, but then someone will say......"Hey, you got any Scripture to back up your beliefs? Don't give me YOUR thoughts, give me Scripture. This form of communication is surely a two-edged sword, uh, hmmm, and sometimes it can be a "forked tongue....."

Yup. You have both sides: those that only state their opinion and never back it with Scripture and those that just post Scripture and nothing else. You're like, "And why is this relevant to your point? I can read those verses myself in my Bible." :)

I will post a few verses with my statements and use the quote option to separate them from my ramblings. :) I will also just parenthesis the reference (Book Chapter:Verses) if it is a really long verse. :) Sometimes I'll reference the Scripture and then pull out one or two verses to emphasize.

I just think anyone can copy/paste verses. What matters is why you're doing so. Just as anyone can state their opinion with authority. In that case, what matters is can you back it Biblically. :)

2 Timothy 3
3 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2 For people will belovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good,4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. 6 For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, 7 always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith. 9 But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men.

Having a form of Godliness
Ever learning things, but not knowing Jesus CHrist
capture people - weak minded women(foolish men as well)

Ever seen the video with Gold Dust - just as jannes and jambres - did "magic" - the weak minded woman loaded down with her sins - looking for the "silver bullet" for faith in God rather than the hard work of walking by faith - this is also with the idea of "second baptism - as only evidenced with tongues

Indeed. That's why I exercised both "sides", by composing my post, but also backing it up with interjected confirming verses and quotes. I find it necessary because 19th century pop-eschatology has left Christians in abject ignorance to the significance of the anti-Gospel anti-religion of Islam, because their chosen approach to Bible prophecy necessarily precludes them from even being able to consider, that Muhammad could be THE false prophet of the book of Revelation. Thus the significance of this final foe of God's people - the foe of all of humanity - is lost on them. One even suggesting that he doesn't care about Islam which is tantamount to saying he doesn't care that Muhammad commanded his followers to conquer and subjugate all people - that is to subjugate that poster's children and children's children and their heirs - specifically to DISbelieve the crucifixion of Christ, DENY and blaspheme the Son of God, and REJECT His shed blood, as articles of faith in THE false prophet Muhammad alone.
THE FALSE PROPHET MUHAMMAD

Regarding post length, when I make a claim about Islam or what Muhammad's followers are taught to believe, I include verses from the Quran and Hadith to preempt wasting time fielding replies like "gee but that isn't what I have been taught that Muslims believe" (perhaps because of a wolf-in-sheep's-clothing like this one).
Thus with supporting verses the post becomes long, so I bold and enlarge fonts to draw attention to important parts, yet as you can see the replies are still like "gee your post is too long" "I don't like long posts" etc., when they could have easily skimmed the emphasized font and pursued a point that caught their attention in a few moments, and substantively responded to it.

(and precluded me from even having to compose this followup post). One reply even perfectly manifesting the subject of the OP of the thread with: "or that I could care less is that an option?"

But notice that not a single poster replied to the subjects of my post or rose to the challenge. Basically all fulfilling the subject of the OP, with reply posts that were non-responsive to the subjects of my post. I wonder if the post was too long, as much as those reading it didn't like what they saw, because the traditional historicist approach is inconsistent with their chosen preterist or futurist approach. One thing this thread would seem to exhibit is that there is little love of truth or Berean spirit left in the body of Christ. Yet since Jesus IS truth, the only way we can serve Him is by seeking out and following the truth, wherever it may reside, and however uncomfortable it may make us feel.
TRADITIONAL HISTORICISM

I will post a few verses with my statements and use the quote option to separate them from my ramblings. :) I will also just parenthesis the reference (Book Chapter:Verses) if it is a really long verse. :) Sometimes I'll reference the Scripture and then pull out one or two verses to emphasize.

I just think anyone can copy/paste verses. What matters is why you're doing so. Just as anyone can state their opinion with authority. In that case, what matters is can you back it Biblically. :)

sorry if I repeat anyone. I stop reading after half way through the first page. have to get kids ready for school, but just wanted to answer the question of your title:

"
[h=2]Timothy 2 - at what point do we stop quarreling with posts? "[/h]
we stop quarreling with posts, when we start loving the person who is posting.

then we speak in love God's truth and with patience pray for them as they rant and rave and call you all sorts of names for showing clearly their error. until they still themselves and pray and see the truth you speak because you speak God's words and out of His love and not out of your own need to be RIGHT or true. knowing in your heart that you could be the one in need of correction, so always going daily before God to ask for His wisdom and forgiveness. giving love and forgiveness to those who might wrong you, recognizing the fact that we are all struggling through this world and in need of prayer.

then we speak in love God's truth ........
Indeed, how can there be any true love under Christ Jesus, without a love of truth - since Jesus IS the truth?

So what have you been taught? What do you believe?
That THE false prophet of Revelation 13 is to come during some future 7-year period of some future someday?
Or that THE false prophet of Rev 13 was a fixture of the 1st century - perhaps all over and done with?
Or that the specifically antichrist false prophet Muhammad - which fills 1/4 of mankind in the world today with complete resolve to DISbelieve the whole subject of the Gospel - may well be the best candidate for THE false prophet of Revelation 13?

Please pardon me, I meant Muhammad as the false prophet of Revelation 19 and 20.
