Well it can't be your beard...I know THAT much. Beards = extra dating points.
And what planet are you from? Cause i haven't known that to be true =P

I just put him on ignore. He's not interested in getting help or encouragement. "Misery loves company" as this thread proves.
Yes! That's what I did! LOL

Reason: Widower. Every holiday is just as painful as the last. She's been gone four years Dec. 18th, and I still have tears. I finally broke and let them flow today. She was my life, my reason to exist. I couldn't have made it this long unless God had been by my side. The way things are going in this world now, maybe it won't be long til the trumpet sounds, and after I get my hug from Jesus, He will turn and point and tell me, "There she is, my son. Go to her." What a big hug and kiss I have for my soul mate gone on!

Guys ... it's like ... you guys can't even follow the instructions lol. Oh well. Whatever.
Because the instructions are unbiblical, and you will find that the CC community is quick to confront people who wallow.

If someone was stuck in the mud, and said to people passing by, "Join me in this mud! And don't you dare try to help pull me out!" you aren't going to get very many interested in conversing with you.

You would get good responses and discussion if it was something along the lines of "Guys, I'm stuck in this mud, and I see some others of you are too. Let's get out of this mess together!" Iron sharpening iron, accountability, encouragement, that kind of thing. :)

Okay, now I am saddened and distraught because only 4 people actually posted their reasons for singleness, and ... that's what this thread was about :/

Sigh ...

lol

Thanks for the response. I'll check out Tari Tari...animation looks familiar, so I probably know the artist. AS for the comment I quoted, a little rude, bud, but I'm sorry you're frustrated, depressed, or the like...

I'm just singles because the relationships I've had haven't worked out until now, and I don't believe it's just about taking whoever comes along (while also not believing in soul mates). So, that said, the right fit just hasn't come along yet.

Anyway, I'm resistant to power (except in God's case), so my immediate thought to 'you guys can't even follow the instructions' was:

Anyway, answered your question, and made my point. Hope it gets better for ya, bro. ^_~

Really? Rude? I didn't mean it as rude at all lol. Seriously. I actually thought it sounded light-hearted., which is what I really meant. Sigh ... now I'm sadder! ...

I am single because no one is interested in me, and I am interested in no one around here. I tried online dating, once, and it didn't go well. Perhaps I shouldn't swear off online dating sites because of that one instance, but it definitely made me want to take a break from it.

Other than that, I don't know the whys. If I try to think of them, I usually end up being negative towards myself, which isn't good. So, I don't try to question why things have or have not happened in my life. I will continue to grow as a person in this season of singleness, and I think that's the main important thing about being single: Grow and learn (about yourself and God) no matter what your circumstances. Have fun. Do things. Don't let your relationship status determine your happiness. Relationships certainly can add to one's life, but they don't fix everything.

Despite the above, I'm not saddened or distraught. I'm only 23. That's just the way it is right now and I'm okay being single. *Shrugs*

Art05, Hurting people hurt people. There are a lot of people in these forums who either are hurt or have been hurting and alone, just as you say you are, for various reasons. When, as Rachel indicated, they are trying to dig out, something like this serves as a reminder to them and can serve as a stumbling block.

You are clearly hurting. On some level you know that wallowing for a season is not good, HOWEVER, there are times when it DOES help to let the pain out, as you are doing here. There are many wounds that will not heal until they are lanced and the poison has been given a chance to drain. I hope this is that chance for you, that you are prayerfully taking your concerns and heartaches before the Lord, and that this season of despair will be replaced on the other side of the valley with a season of restoration and joy.

While we don't want to enable wallowing or self-loathing, love is kind, not easily angered, and is not self-seeking. I can't imagine that anyone reading this has not had a moment/hour/day/month/year/life of heartache or loneliness. I would think that would give us a heart of compassion toward someone else in the same position, but I'm just a silly ole girl. What would I know.

If you are on this thread because you are having a difficult time, I pray healing and peace into your life. If you are reading this and have ever been there or ARE there, I would urge you to spend a little time in prayer for those who are hurting. HE is the Vine and we are the branches. Life doesn't flow from a vine directly to the leaves. It goes through the branches first. The branches receive the things the leaves partake of as well.

If you need spiritual or emotional healing, pray from the heart for someone else in need of the same and watch what happens. Step out of yourself and give it a shot. I doubledog dare ya! :)

Very sorry for your loss, Sir.

We who know Him are not without hope, are we? :)

Oh my goodness ... ugh, como no quieren que me de coraje!

You saw too much to this. This is exactly what was not supposed to be on here.

It was a thread for people to simply SIMPLY put up the reasons they felt they were single! Is that too hard to understand?! Gaaaaaaah!

If somebody wanted to wallow in selfpity, or if they didn't, then WHATEVER. They don't have to if they don't want to.

[Ugh what's so hard about that :'( I thought I made myself clear.]

I just formed this thread so people could express their reasons without feeling judged or reprimanded or lectured. That is IT.

Back to point, I happen to be single because of my future career in taxidermy. Here's my latest. I know I have a couple of tweeks, but what do you think overall? It's getting there isn't it?

Exactly the kind of response this thread was for. Thanks for sharing!

And I hope your great attitude towards your singleness will rub off on the rest of us. God bless you Rachel.

And Jullianna called you out on the whys you keep posting things like this. She was very kind and sweetly tempered. You continuously run from people trying to get to the core reasons you are the way you are. So here's my recommendation...

If you don't like the way we operate here, don't post. Don't start threads. And most of all, stop ripping people apart. I understand that you just want people to be in the same pain (if not more pain) than you are. But you need to stop. You need to take stock of your life. You need to forgive the people who have hurt you, and you need to forgive yourself. I suggest you go down to the potters house and let Him remake you.
