Time and time again, believers start discussing and teaching the doctrine that believers can be perfect and live a life without sin here on earth. That doctrine is a very evil and dangerous false doctrine. Please read this text with prayer and test it by the Word of God.
The whole article is on my site: Can believers live their lives without committing sin?
***
Hello,
Grace to you and yours from GOD our Father and Our LORD Jesus Christ.
Here is my Christian minded, 'unto edification' input.
Another way of asking the question is:
"Can Jesus make a person righteous?"
OR:
"Is Jesus a failure as a Savior and as the hand of GOD.?"
Let us have an unbiased look.
Rom.6
[16] Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey,
his servants ye are to whom ye obey;
whether of sin unto (spiritual) death,
or of
obedience (to the Apostles) unto >> righteousness?
[17] But GOD be thanked,
that ye were (IN THE PAST) the servants of sin,
but ye have
obeyed, from the heart,
that form of Doctrine that was delivered (by the Apostles to) you.
[18] Then being >> made free << from sin,
you became
the servants of righteousness (faith in Christ and his Father, love and good to others)
1 Cor.6
[
9] Know ye not that the unrighteous (sinners) shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers,
nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
[
10] Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners,
shall inherit the kingdom of God.
[
11] And such were (IN THE PAST) some of you: (converts)
but ye are (NOW) washed,
but ye are (NOW) sanctified (separated from others, by wholehearted faith in Christ)
but ye (NOW) are justified (made righteous)
in the NAME of the LORD Jesus and by the Spirit of our GOD.
There is response from calling on Jesus in baptism. >> (from under the water)
That is where the devil has done his best work.
Jesus makes the person into what GOD wants.
You do not do it yourself, neither Bible teacher.
1 John.2
[
28] And now, little (co-operative) children, >> abide in (fellowship with) Jesus;
so that, when Jesus appears,
we may have >> confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
[
29] If ye know that Jesus is righteous,
then you know that every one who >>
does righteousness ( love and good deeds)is born of Jesus.
1 John.3
[
5] And ye know that Jesus was manifested (from heaven) to take away our sins; and in Jesus is no sin.
[
6] Whosoever abides in (fellowship with) Jesus does not sins:
whosoever sins hath not seen Jesus (as good), neither known him.
[
7] Little (compliant) children, let no man deceive you:
he who does righteousness (love and good) is righteous, even as Jesus is righteous.
My friend I do not know about whom you are referring and are concerned.
I know that Jesus, as our maker, is making us like himself, pleasing to GOD.
If you retrun directly to Jesus, through baptism, calling on his name then you will
experience the work of the Savior.
If the teachings are not working out as written then something is wrong.
Take care.
