Who is the morning star danschance or anyone else reading this? Is is Satan or Jesus?

If it is the inerrant word of God, as you say, then why add a Latin name where none had existed? That proves th KJV is in error by adding things into the word of God. It is a paraphrase not a translation.

It's not adding to the word of God. I believe you are over looking a very important piece of information here. The original manuscripts don't exist today, we have no idea what was in the originals. We only have copies of the originals and we have no idea if the copies are true to the originals. This is why God is the only one who could direct the translation of the bible. God knows where he hid his word in those fragments, as for man we have no idea.

I think we both agree that it was Satan that fell from heaven. Satan is transformed into an angel of light or messenger of light. Lucifer means light bearer, how can you argue that Lucifer is an inaccurate translation?

2Co_11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

I posted this as i was doing some private study, which often times i am very busy so i am thankful to God i had some time. i looked into and studied some of this as i live in Tennessee and this KJVOnlyism is rampant. so i wanted to look into this. this isnt my first time. while not trying to be offensive i find this belief silly personally. but with that said i have no problems with the KJV as it was the first bible i ever had and many of my scripture memory actually comes from this translation. basically i wanted to know more thoughts on here get feed back and start a discussion on the subject. i will provide a video and even a screen shot. which clearly refutes those that say the KJV hasn’t undergone any significant “revision or change” since 1611.

Sholder of Christ, are you Brother Travis? Are you involved with these other clergy? Scripture instructs those preaching to make full proof of their ministry(2 Tim.4.5, 1 Tim.1.6-7) but it has been my experience, that most Clergymen cannot be contacted other than buying their wares or making donations. They are incomminacado otherwise, what about these men ?

The addition of a latin term into Isaiah 15 proves the KJV is a paraphrase, like the NLT.

The same way in which your cult argues that Nose Ring is not the correct translation in this passage. WHy does it matter what word is used if they give same message at end of day?

Genesis 24:47: The "old" KJV reads: "I put the earring upon her face". But the NKJV has different plans for beautiful Rebekah: "I put the nose ring on her nose". Where did it get the ridiculous idea to "cannibalize" Rebekah? Just take a peek at the NIV, NASV, RSV, NRSV!

From my observation it's usually from one or more of the following

Blind acceptance of a teaching
Fearful condition of the heart
Exclusionism/Elitism
Mis-perception of God's name and nature as "baal/taskmaster/The LORD" instead of "YHWH/Salvation/Breath of life"
Some genuinely believe there's a translation accuracy, but some use the translation accuracy argument to support one of the above core fallacies.

I'm a KJV "mostlyist" because it does preserve some important poetic quality, but I read the most important mistranslated words quite differently than most.
Those words are "The LORD", "hell", and "eternal" with it's derivatives. And these are not exclusive to the KJV version.

Reject-tech, If you understand the complexity of translating, especially the Hebrew language, then you know that there are no two that can ever totally agree on MANY word meanings, so there is no such thing as an accurate version according to human wisdom, so whats the point?

I just spent quite a while on an online Bible translation site, and there were about thirty English versions, and every one of them say in Isa.46.10 that God knew the end from the beginning, and they all say in Ps.139.4 that God knows every word that is in our tongue before we say it. So; since God knew when the printing press would be invented, and when America would be discovered, and what version of his word would surface and flourish in the first time and place of the freedom to read it to the hearts content, what's not to trust? Do you honestly think the Omnopotent God would allow a version of his word to surface and flourish and build this nations Churches that warned through out against human wisdom if it were possible for human wisdom to improve it? In trying to make it easier to understand and/or more accurate, you tamper with the wording that the wisdom is hidden in, thus the need to "rightfully divided word of truth"(2 Tim.2.15). That is the infinite wisdom of the Holy Spirit, he hid it in plain sight knowing the intellects would rely on their own understanding for the meaning, and the babes would not(Mark 4.11-12, 2 Tim.2.15, Jas.1.5-6). You may have found errors, but there is no error in the wisdom hidden by the God whose foolishness is wiser then man(1 Cor.1.25, 2 Cor.4.3).

It would behove you to reconsider your position ...if there is still time(Rev.10.6, 22.11)

1 Timothy 6:1-5 - "1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.

2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself."

If you're denying the KJVs perfection you are proud knowng nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus said in

Matthew 24:35 - "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."

Are you saying Jesus' words have passed away? If so, you're calling God a liar and you are proud, knowing nothing.

There is a perfect word of God for the English-speaker and it's the KJV. Why won't you just submit and learn from the book instead of questioning it when it's never been proven wrong. Where is your faith? Without faith it is impossible for you to please God, especially if you won't submit to God's word, the KJV.

Amen. Good post.

Our God is a God of truth. And He cannot lie (Numbers 23:19, Titus 1:2, Hebrews 6:18).

God's word, the King James Bible is absolute truth.

John 17:17 KJV
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

I have a KJV/KJB but unlike you, I refuse to make it an idol over Jesus, or place the creation over the creator.

KJV1611;128973}One lie that you have probably been told is that Easter is some Romanized Catholic church thing that was not observed by pagans at time of the book of Acts said:
Applemellonn, now you are on the right track as to what the "names of blasphemy" are; I pray that you will keep digging, because the Roman calendar is the Luke 21.35 "snare" that Jesus said would "come on all who dwell on the face of the whole earth", the same snare that Ps.142.3, 124.7 wt Luke 21.36 refers to - that some of us are lucky enough to escape.

God's grace to you friend

Since it is YOUR judgment that believing in a certain version of the Bible is an idol, why would two idols be better than one?

You are saying that trusting the verson of the Bible that Almighty God allowed to surface and flourish in the first time and place of the freedom to read it to the hearts content is making it an idol, when it is actually hearing the Shepherd's voice. If the Jesus you serve is not the God that manifested in the flesh to reconcile the world unto himself(2 Cor.5.19), then perhaps he is the shepherd of the goats instead of the sheep.

Don't the two versions you read say in John 1.1-3-14 that the Word that WAS God became flesh, and all things were made by him, and that the Word made flesh brought us the Words that Jn.6.63 said are spirit and life? thus fulfilling Ps.104.30 that God would send forth his spirit and we would be created, and the face of the earth would be renewed(2 Cor.5.17)?

How can "Receiveing with meekness the ENGRAFTED word, save our souls, if there is a Jesus that saves some other way? see Jas.1.21, 2 Cor.11.4 ;

Ah another one putting words into our mouths...The whole debate about which version is the real word of God is FOOLISHNESS!

John832, your confusion comes from your lack of understanding of the feasts of the Lord. Here's a quick lesson on the feasts.

Passover is on the 14th day of the month.
The feast of unleavened bread starts on the 15th day of the month and runs for 7 days.

Herod took Peter during the feast of unleavened bread. Now remember what I just said, the feast of unleavened starts the day after Passover. Passover had already come and gone, however Easter was still a few days away.

Another point of confusion on your part is that you don't know history. Maybe this will help you, Easter and Passover are not synonymous. Easter is a pagan holy day and Passover is a Jewish holy day. The Jews that killed Jesus and wanted to kill Peter... they were Pagans, they were waiting for their holy day to pass.

Acts 12:4 - Passover and Easter

By: Brian Tegart

Acts 12:4 - Passover and Easter

My confusion? I have kept the Feasts of the Lord since 1969. I have a faint idea about what they are. It is you who have the confusion. The Feasts of the Lord are still around, in fact Paul taught the Corinthians they should be keeping the Passover and the Days of Unleavened Bread...

1Co 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
1Co 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
1Co 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

The context makes it plain he is not talking about the feast of Ishtar.

he's not talking about the Passover feast either...he said right in there Christ is our passover.

he's using allusion - the sinning man is the leaven they were supposed to purge out.
read it again.

so if i say that the KJV bible is the closes to the truth than the rest of the bibles i'm a kjvonlist or whatever? who even makes us these things if you ask me it's pretty silly...

I still wait for a Kjv onlyist to answer. Show a greek manuscript that renders 1 john 5:7 the King james way before the 14th century. Is there one?
