It is my job as a Christian to discern what is of God and what is not. The issue is you do not understand Gods love includes perfect justice. The words you yourself said contradict the scriptures and make void the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Haven't you read in your bible '' There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus our Lord.''

You in your own words are denying the very perfect work of Christ by which there is no other salvation, those who deny him Christ Jesus will deny to the father.

Do you think LovelyU that you have the right to define what is good and just? Your very mind is corrupted because of sin.

You are no prophet you defy the very words of God, and thus rebel against him. May you perish with your lies and deceit because you pervert the very Gospel of God for which the blood of saints was shed and Jesus himself also died for. Your condemnation is just.

To say ''God will not condemn'' is a lie from the very pit of Hell from which the spirit which you claim made you a prophet comes from.
The work of Christ IS perfect, I am not "defining" what is good and just, I am merely saying God is all that is Good and he is Just, I have no corruption in my mind or my being whatsoever. Who are you to tell me who I am and aren't? Who are you to know? Lies and deciet are your judgement, you CANNOT judge for the Lord. The Lord is all that is Good and Great and Glorious, he is Trumendous beyond our imaginations and I am truely blessed, may he send you wisdom.

If you check the footnotes in your bible you'll likely note that this story is a later addition not found in any of the early manuscripts

My Bible has no footnotes. But I will do some research into this.

Why should we pay attention to this story which was added later to copies of the NT and ignore the clear proscription in Leviticus to kill homosexuals? I thought ALL scripture was useful for instruction of righteousness.
If you read the New Testament, you will find that these laws (against murder, adultery, theft, slander, gossip, homosexuality, lust, etc.) are repeated in the New Testament. In the Old, the breaking of these moral laws carried criminal or civil penalties. You could be brought before a court and convicted for murder or theft and then punished or even stoned to death. Under the New Testament, the church does not have the power of criminal or civil punishment. Instead, the church is to show the sinner the error of their ways and turn them from their sin. Not punish them for it.

In response to does it contradict the bible to kill a homosexual. I am not in favor of homosexuality just to be clear.

Not a bit considering Jesus said ''I require compassion not sacrifice.'' Jesus blood covered the need of stoning a person for breaking the law.

Jesus' statement "I require mercy not sacrifice" only applied to repentant sinners or those ignorant of the gospel. Any homosexual who knows the gospel cannot expect mercy, and no-one is required to show him any.

i don't think God accepts the act of homosexuality, just the same as He doesn't accept any sin. The Word says God see's sin as sin if we commit one we are guilty of all.

The Bible clearly states that God wanted his people to kill homosexuals, are you saying that it was moral back then to stone a gay man to death but it isn't moral to do so anymore?

Both Old Testament, and New Testament state a damnation for Homosexuality activity. If we love those types of people who practice those things, we are to love them the same way we would in light of any other sin that we might commit. We are to love them as we love ourselves, and there is no excuse. Unrepentant sin keeps all people from the presences of God, therefore to love others as we do ourselves would be to love them enough to have them repent, and be clean, as we would want ourselves to be clean. God's love is to do all we can to separate their sins from what separates them from God by telling them the truth in the Bible. There is no scripture in the Bible that says that homosexuality is okay because of a new covenant. There is no change with God. He created things for men to mate with women in marriage, and that is the same. To add to creation, or take away from creation is a sin.

So I take it everyone here is also on board with saying that it is immoral for a woman to divorce her physically abusive husband as long as he does not commit adultery, correct?

I understand that it goes against the Bible. . .but nature? You do know that over two thousand animal species have been documented to have a small percentage of individuals born that are attracted to members of the same sex, right? Obviously, this is occurring in nature. . .unless you're saying that things that occur naturally in nature aren't. . .natural?
