you are bouncing around.

women really should be quiet and learn when a man talks and raise hands when they have a question. their catty attitudes and nature to rebel against man is a big part of humanities downfall.

how many men lost their lives from a unruly woman.
How many women have lost their lives to abusive, cruel and domineering men? I daresay that number would be higher.

i don't do bobbypins. they get lost in my hair and show up at 3am in my ear.
:)
Yeah, on the bright side, it's easier to collect a bobby pins at wee hours of the night than to wake-up with gum stuck to the hair as was the case with my youngest. She had to get a major haircut and the hair still didn't look right.

Over several days later, I'd find her praying, "...and Lord, please never give me gum that sticks to my hair, okay? Please Lord. Just make gum that doesn't stick..."

If you look at the definition of the word, then by the definition of the word, one who executes the orders of a minister is a deacon. So, if a child can execute an order, by definition, they are a deacon, yes? If folks want to mince words, let's mince them. I am referring to the definition of the word in the Scripture itself, not the definition in whatever church statutes exist. So, yes, by all means, most anyone that fits that definition can be a deacon.

negative.

sure, there are women who lost there lives from a deranged man.

but go to any prison, man and woman. and see how many innocent men are in there because of a unruly woman.

then go to the women penitentiary, and see how many innocent women are in there because of a "unruly" man. that number will not favor your argument.

not to mention, all the men who lost their lives over a woman because shes lying and cheating so a war broke out because ... dare i say, "shes unruly".

i clearly understand what you are saying but all of us are mature enough to know what the word means in its context

How many of mankind have lost because of what eve did ?
They are lost because of what they do. Eve is not the reason I deserve hell. I deserve hell because of my own actions. If Eve hadn't eaten the fruit, her son or daughter would have. So is the natural rebellion of people. I don't blame Adam or Eve for my sin and rebellion. I make my own choices. I think once the church realized they alone are to blame and accountable, their lives would improve greatly.

I am also not the reason I am saved. I merely responded to the amazing love and sacrifice of Christ. The Bible does say that sin entered through one man (Adam). Yet, Eve gets all the bad press. Oh, wait, that's right. Women are to blame for everything. I forgot. Carry on.

Are we? I think this thread shows that many of us are not mature enough to read things in context. But, that is another thread for another time.

Yeah!

Remember Helen of Troy, the "face that launched a thousand ships"?

She didn't launch those ships into the Caribbean for a day-cruise,
she started a WAR!

Why?

Because she was HOT!!

HOT CHICKS START WARS.

Everybody knows that.

For every great war in history, there was a hot chick pulling on the king's ear,
going, "Look what that other empress wore... it's MY OUTFIT!
Let's get her."

Wow. You must really hate women. No one can force someone to do something. So, if someone is in jail because they listened to an unruly woman, who's fault is it? Notice that the woman was deceived but Adam knew what he was doing.

However, a man that beats a woman to death, well, was that her fault. You probably think she 'drove him' to do it. Yet, are we not to have self-control? Are we not responsible for our own actions and choices? By way of popular psychology and sociology today, no, we are not. We can blame anyone and anything else. It's never our fault. We were hugged too much or not enough. Blame society. Blame the parents. Blame unruly women. Live free of obligation and accountability.

So, if there is a woman that's a pastor in the church then she became tempted by the Devil, for God does not tempt, and, she, therefore, is pastoring in sin , and, that will lead to death as James 1 says !

Or, is this referring to a specific twosome: a man and a woman, like MARRIED ones? :)
it means shes not doing as instructed. that would fall under Romans 12:2

to interpret that as a woman being tempted by satan is ridiculous. thats like saying, "well, in my household, the woman rules the man, does that means shes tempted by satan?"
thats a silly way of looking at it. it doesnt mean shes tempted by satan, but then, maybe it is.. ? because shes not abiding by the instruction of the scripture.

and this thread actually came from this girl on facebook posting a picture of her mother being accepted as co-pastor in her church.. and i saw worldly conformation when i saw that.

i dont hate women. im giving examples of why women are suppose to be submissive to man as scripture says. you must think God hates women, then.

I really think what caused Paul to write what he did was based pretty much on the culture of the day, tradition and Talmud and of course he was busy scribing away his own thoughts on paper.

My take on women in the church is big whoop i don't go to church.

But, it seems to me both man and woman were created in the image of God. Women did not participate in the idolatry regarding the Golden Calf. Miriam along with Moses and Arron are considered the liberators of Israel. One of the Judges, Deborah, was a woman and seven out of the listed 55 prophets were women. The Ten Commandments require and entitle, honor respect and reverence equally for both mother and father. Also too! Contrary to what some may think, a prize woman to marry is not one who can cook, clean and submit to the decisions of her husband. A prize trait in a woman, like my wife has for instance, is one who is sharp and has an ability to think clear and make good decisions in business and practical matters (Proverbs 31:1-31) I like that alot in a woman. In fact my wife makes quite a few decisions that WE follow because WE are married and she being a prize woman can make good decisions.

GreenNnice,

also, only men tempted by satan would use that authority to take advantage of a woman. but we are the body of christ. satan is not a factor, so we are not thinking that way. we are living in the scripture. scripture clearly states that man is to love his wife. and same with wife and she is to be submissive to him.

and if you don't mind....we might debate women pastors and head coverings - but Paul's authority from the Almighty is not up for debate.

k....thx.

It comes down to what's being done, as, like banananapie said, sometimes, in a church that needs a pastor to come forth none comes forth, none wants to wear 'the pants.'

So, God PUTS a woman in charger of the pastor role in a church and she does a FINE job, I'll add and she has 'fruit' becoming huge, big, ripe, dropping all over the place ; why, ALAS!, is this working out, green!!!

Because, my young grasshoppers, she has been CALLED by the Lord, just as I said in my last post, just as mystydancer's said in one of her posts. :)
