if you are mocking me then you are mocking God since you are "mocking everyone equally" for standing by the scripture.

Well, you tell us where you stand. You have designated yourself as a judge of all women. When we were given instructions about prayer in the gospels, it talks about the results of this type of action.

im not a judge of all women. nowhere have i even presented myself that way. its instruction. people have problems with Gods way that they love to take their frustrations out with their brethren.
You really enjoy putting words into other people's mouths and inventing things they never said or considered. If I believed God hated women, would I love Him? Would I serve Him and seek Him? Would I say that I believe women deserve respect and honor and that some are called to preach and teach? Nope. I wouldn't. But you're not interested in what I'm saying, only your agenda and what you want people to say, so you can be right.

Hmmm, if I sound ridiculous to you, I'll count that as a good thing. You sound ridiculous to me. Que sera sera and, dare I say, to each his/her own.
On a side note, beware of drawing conclusions based on your own filters. Those tend to be way off base. Never once did I even imply that God hates women, so where you gained that conclusion from me saying you must hate women leads to a conclusion drawn of its own...if you can see it.

yes, you indeed sound ridiculous to me. you sound like the female that screms, "thats unfair!" when she doesnt like a certain circumstance like this 1 here.
i love women. but i love God more, which is why im single and celibate and waiting for a good christian woman that God will bless me with.
yea, i have very little patience for a certain type of female. but dont confuse that with "hate". much like im sure theres certain types of men you have little patience for. that dont mean you hate men. so dont draw those silly conclusions.
How do you and Oldhermit explain everything else the bible says about women and the place of women in the world? You are great with making God sound as if God wants us to shut up, be worthless, do nothing but serve as a place your babies can be birthed. Do you think this is what God teaches?
We did not write those passages, Paul did. We are not standing in judgment of women. All we can do is repeat what the Judge has decreed. Your issue is not with us, it is with the text.

Gods way is perfect. He left it the way He did for one reason. so we would be able to live peacefully among each other. and the way he left man and woman to coincide with each other is based on eve being the 1st to sin.
if women do as God told them, and be submissive, then there would be peace between man and woman. but today, woman got away from that and look how it is today.
No, please hear what I write!! My issue is not with the text, it is with your lack of listening to all the texts about women in the bible but only using a few. All are truth. If you pick and choose then you don't hear God correctly in the texts you choose to listen to.

And, you, oleherm, misunderstand what the God of the text can do to make women do more than just be fruitful and multiply, they can actually be called by God to be a pastor of a church and bring forth good fruit.
And, if you just can't come to believe that because of how you believe the 1 Timothy 2:11-15 text, fine, then, agree that women no where in Scripture are told they cannot be a pastor of a church.
Woman ARE told to learn in quietness and submission of a pastor speaking in 1 Tim. 2:11
and
Women ARE told to not interrupt the church service but to ask their husbands at home of questions they have regarding the speaker's message at the church in 1 Cor.. 14: 34-35

What you are implying is that if a woman cannot be permitted to preach, she is then worthless in the Church. Paul was a great defender of women's dignity in the Church. The prohibition of these two text in no way subtracts from anything else scripture says about women and their appointed roles. Men too have prohibitions placed upon them in the Church but I do not see anyone standing up to challenge those prohibitions. The challenge to 1Cor 14 and 2Tim 2 are driven not by a desire to serve God but by a feminist agenda that stands contrary the Word of God.
