What is your greatest challenge in life right now?

Tell us what it is (if you feel comfortable telling it of course). And prayers are always welcome.

The world seems to subconsciously grow in my head... E.g, when I was a hermit I could easily keep out vulgar speech from my noggen... Now that I work at a fast food restaurant I find it beyond difficult to keep my speech pleasing to the Lord when around me there are more vulgar conversations then anything else...

It's not like I am having trouble not cursing... It is that my thoughts are starting to become more wordly...

E.g. I had a girl that was attractive come through the drive through and my thought was
WARNING PROFANITY! in white text

"Damn that ***** is hot"

It just made me really think about how much my mind is changing when I have to live in the world and strive to not be of it...

for me personally,nothing is a challenge right now ..Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

I struggle to let go of much anger and resentment towards my ex husband. By nature, I am not this sort of person and I know these feelings come from the enemy. In my mind I think that I have forgiven him but my heart tells a different story. The divorce has been final only a short time now. Things of the past are still fresh and present in my thoughts. It is having such a negative affect on my relationship with the Lord. Even when I read my Bible I find concentrating on the Word to be difficult as I am so preoccupied with all that has happened in the past few weeks. At least I know why this is happening to me and I know the Lord will lead me out of this state of mind and heart that the enemy is using to hold me back. It is just a part of the journey that the Lord has put before me. I have faith that he will teach me many things along the way and lead me on to a better place.

Staying in the Word daily - really meditating on it - is probably my biggest challenge.

Having a son with behavioral problems. He does well at school it's home. And finding the ways to deal with that. It's been tough lately.

Unemployment and some residual health issues (which are almost gone praise Jesus).

And, probably the only challenge I have that will matter in 6 months time, 6 years, or 60 years time, is I'm still strengthening my faith, because that's all that really matters. I mean there are a million scriptures to back up that fact, but this verse in John 16 came to mind first:

[SUP]33 [/SUP]These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Everything I do also gets tied to music in my head. Somehow this came to mind - it's probably not everyone's cup of tea, but to me it fits the Christian walk well:
I have overcome.
Every wall every inch of myself.
With no hold on the ways of this world.
I have conquered my inmost defeat.
Now death lays dying before my own two feet

Our path was always meant to meet.

Maybe not now but soon you'll see.
This white hot flame inside of me, will scorch the earth & everything that stands in my way

Overcome

I am no mortal
As long as this spark is within me

As it engulfs me
It changes everything
My soul is on fire for reasons,
Made certain by desires found in me.

Myself.

Opps? The mind is the doorway to physical sin, but hey, as Christians, you two have the advantage of the lord!
@Daniela
For now, your mind is at peace. Excellent.
@Grace-Like-Rain
There is always time for the lord. You'll find it.
@Fenner
Behavioral problems, eh? Does he burden any mental disorders or conditions?
@ServantStrike
praise Jesus indeed! :D The poem doesn't rhyme...
@Blueorchidjd, Pipp, and Mysavior
Interior thoughts flowing through your minds?
@Blueorchidjd
You will rip your head off when God decides he doesn't love us anymore. =)
@Tintin
I saw old timers as part of the school staff. If you're age 80, you might still be able to assist the school somehow. I'm not sure how England does things though. (Nice smile.)

My greatest challenge in life right now is pretty much everything.
Fighting the daily desire to just give up.
(and yes I mean end it all)
The past 2 years have been one terrible thing after another,and even though there are moments of happiness & little bright spots,I have to constantly battle to cling to those because with each passing day I feel my heart & mind slipping away from caring about anything or anyone.

I know this isn't what God has for me,or even how I should be speaking/thinking,but sometimes the hopelessness of my life just seems never ending. I end up even more annoyed with myself because of my selfishness to even have these "woe is me" thoughts,full well knowing there are much greater horrors being lived day to day by others all over the world.

Who am I that I matter more than any of those people?
I'm not being raped or physically abused daily. I'm not being oppressed by my government for the God I worship.
I'm not dying slowly of some horrible disease. I have all my body parts. And while I've gone weeks w/out food,I am certainly not "starving".

So I guess my greatest challenge to overcome in life,is life itself...my life. Maybe that's the problem..."My" life...isn't really mine at all. It's supposed to be the life of Jesus. Maybe I just don't care enough anymore.

It seems funny to say this, but my biggest challenge right now is learning how to love certain people in my life. Who knew that would be an issue of mine...

Itorethesky, hang in there man. Try to stay busy man. Just create things to do each day to keep yourself occupied and to keep your mind off of the negative. I struggle with some of the same problems. I struggle getting through each day. Everything is a fight and a battle. I get really tired a lot of times just battling life, but God is still with us. He will help us make it through. God bless you brother.

Living in a homeless shelter and watching a special part of life pass me by. Marriage and family.

Still a possibility, just later than I ever imagine.

You are now offically on my prayer list.

Bro, it gets better.

I think we've all been there at one point or another where we just wonder what it is exactly we're doing any more, but it gets better.

Ever considered immigrating? Last I knew the US had a shortage of teachers.
