Joseph was taught by his father Jacob, who was taught by Isaac, who was taught by Abraham who was taught by God starting when God told Abram to leave his kindred and homeland so He could establish His contract (covenant) with him. “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. And I will make My covenant between Me and you."
Abstaining from sexual immorality is in all God’s contracts (covenants). Also notice that as long as Abram was living among his kindred he would have not been able to properly walk before God “blameless”. So God had him in the wilderness dwelling in tents

If we are worshiping idols or committing adultery would that affect our salvation? Why stop at just the sabbath? Why not go all ten?

The real question is whether the fruits of the spirit are manifest in your life. If the fruits are evident, the spirit is at work. If they are, it means that you are following the spirit, and you are a child of GOD. Apart from instruction, the law of Moses is irrelevant to a godly walk.

Sounds like you;re trying to insult me by saying I’m carnally minded just because I say all the days blend into one big Sabbath Day. Can you not wait to get more definitive evidence before making such an accusation than what you perceive to be “Temporal distinctions”?
When I say all the days blend into one big Sabbath Day…. that Sabbath Day I’m referring to does not exist under the temporal physical heavens where you have sunrises and sunsets, full moons and new moons… (I've touched on this in earlier posts). And when I say “stepping off the entire planet” I mean stepping outside of space, time and matter… outside of the whole temporal universe where God resides in eternity. God cannot truly live in His natural eternal form inside the temporal universe that He created… It would be like a man trying to live inside a coke bottle. This is why God says, “Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool.” God sits on the universe and He puts His feet up on the earth but He cannot dwell inside the physical creation in His natural form.
So when one goes through the narrow gate they go through the passageway that immediately translates them into a state where they are able to reside where God resides in His natural form in eternity while at the same time living here in the temporal world eagerly looking forward to their death or their change… gladly accepting which ever comes first..
There is also something else that Christ guarantees besides the Holy Spirit so that there is absolutely no room for doubt in the mind of the child of God:
“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
This manifestation is not something that is foggy, or dreamy or in some sort of vision… it’s just as solid and real as when Thomas put his hands in Christ’s wounds. Because the choosing of God’s elect is so important and there’s no turning back once chosen, all God’s children need to know who they are. So part of this manifestation also involves Christ personally revealing to the child of His Father their purpose and place within the family. And God the Father wants them to know who they are…He wants them to know their place and purpose in the family just like the members of the great royal families of this world know their place within their family as explained to them by their parents.
The calling and the choosing of God’s elect, the children of God, is the highest calling known in existence where all affiliations in this world that are not linked to God the Father whether physical family, wife, girlfriend, friends, work, business, hobbies, worldly passions, former loves and desires… they all get severed and thrown into the dung heap.
I was referring to those who observe days and times. I was in agreement with you that time is irrelevant when it comes to the sabbath rest.

Sorry for the confusion. By calling those who observe days and times carnal, I don't mean it in a derogatory or elitist way. I'm simply drawing attention to the fact that those things are earthly considerations, that quite frankly the spirit is far above. The spirit seeks to glorify Christ and edify the body of Christ. There is really nothing higher than this that I can see at the moment.

When God says "walk before Me and be blameless," He says everything, and this is long before our Lord and Master gave all who will receive it, grace. Now we walk before Jesus, Yeshua, and we are blameless. Halleluyah, amen. Thank you for shining light for all who will see.

God has always promised "REST" to His people,and the "elect" "saved" of His people, Israel, and a few "chosen" ones of the Gentiles, have always found the enterance into this "REST" By faith and holiness. Heb. 4: 1 "Therefore, "since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. v.2 "For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those heard it." v.3 "For we who have BELIEVED DO ENTER THAT REST,(are entering, present tense) We have not entered FULLY, but we and the O. T. saints will fully enter at the same time. Thirs' and ours' is a physical REST in ,on , the New Earth. READ ON ! v.5b "...They shall not enter My rest",(as a nation,they were not saved, only the "ELECT" were saved were saved and began to enter that eternal REST) v. 6 "Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those of whom it was first preached did no enter because of disobedience ," v.7 "Again He designates a certain day, saying in David.Today,...If..." ( like, being postponed again because Israel is still in unbelief.) (AND Israel rejected Jesus, SO, it was postponed again, as God's eternal plan) SO, v.9 "There remains therefore a rest for the people of God." v.11 "Let us therefore be diligent to enter that REST, lest any one fall according to the same example of disobedience." ( the saved of God of all the age have yet to enter that REST God has promised , BECAUSE, God will not give the elect their REST untill all the "ELECT" of all nations have been saved. This is a wonderful teaching, but it has nothing at all to do with the rest we are to do on the Sabbath.

I don't think you can say that what we do has no relation to the spirit. Through the entire bible many actions taken by people are used to explain the spiritual. Baptism is just one of those many actions, and spiritual truths are explained in all the history of the Hebrew Kings. Those bible scholars who study the bible as only history of man are not really learning bible, and in the same way those who deny history but only see the spiritual teachings are missing out on bible teaching. Someone called it the duality of reality. The earth and humans are made in the image of God, we are to reflect God in our doing.
