All I needed was to sleep. That was too much to ask. Now I can't sleep. *sigh*

Grace, just to make you feel better, I once got a cactus needle stuck in my finger. What did I do? Stuck my finger in my mouth. Where did the cactus needle end up? Yep....in my tongue.

Bet you feel a whole lot smarter now, don't you? :)
Shoot, i feel smarter now and i didn't even do anything to my finger.

Why not ice it?

Why 'cool' water and not 'cold' water?

Just asking duchessaim :)
Because it is difficult to keep control of how cold it gets. A frostbite on a burn is naturally not going to make the burn any better

Ice will set and deepen the burn. It will also further a blister sometimes. If you only have ice, hover the burned area OVER the ice. About... a half inch above the wound. But don't use ice unless you absolutely have to.

Oh! And to help soothe the pain, you can use tea bags or oatmeal.

Coffee... I need coffee. I may die if I don't get said coffee. I know it sounds dramatic, but you can ask Catlynn, Grace-Like-Rain, or Shour. I'm much more pleasant caffeinated than not.

Had a hit and run lastnight. My car got slammed into cus of the icy streets, someone witnessed it. I have the make and model of the car, but didn't get the licence plate. I still get to pay the deductible. Woot woot... Merry Christmas to me.

I'm getting tired of work. I don't have a good work ethic as some do. I'm not sure if it's an infp/j thing. But it's taking a toll on me.

If I want to see the good in this, at the very least I got some extra sleep to begin again. :p

Man, I think I need a wife for support and help me work harder. xD

As if.
You know if your thoughts change; your feelings have no choice but to follow, rather than lead. For now focusing on how you feel, keeps one in thoughts you are stuck in
And is why Father said to renew our minds, that would have to be how we think would it not.
Do feelings (emotions) lead our thoughts?
Are we originally designed to have Emotion (feelings) follow thoughts?
Go to a scary movie, tell me our thoughts do not lead our emotions, cause what do we do when we see the part that scares us, how do we react, knowing the movie is not reality
So do feelings (emotions) know any right or wrong? Or do they predictably respond to whatever one is thinking?

I resisted the temptation to bring Miss Kitty (who I have since checked and discovered is actually MR. Kitty) into the house. However, with the constant below-zero temperatures, I'm feeling pretty bad for the poor little guy. Gave him more food and water. Took an old pillow and thick blanket out to a seat on the porch where he's been sitting, and created a little soft, insulated kitty-cave that I really hope he has the sense to curl up in tonight.

I HATE CATS!!
...cuz they're like a huge dose of guilt, wrapped in a soft furry coat...
Misschris you are a trip

And for me a bee flew into my mouth once and stung me under the tongue, as I was driving on a motorcycle, praising A favored outcome in my favor I was thanking God for the favor that was judged in my favor at that time. I spit it out and stayed with praising God anyway, and all that happened thankfully was dead skin peeled off and no swelling occurred
the things that go on in life can be bad and yet the reaction(s) can divert or make it worse through praise or stinking thinking over it.
Such as when the wind is blowing and it blows across me, you or anyone, and the first thought a lot of the time is I am or am I going to get a cold, and what happens many times is we get that cold.
now if maybe we decided to not accept that thought and say get lost I have not got time for you, do you think you might not get that cold?

Thoughts are powerful, very.

I wish I could travel the world. There are so many things I want to see, places I want to visit. I just don't have the money. Flying and exploring are expensive...

Sometimes I think about how much college debt I have and I think about how much that could have paid for. However, I don't think I'd trade my college experiences for that. I made some lifelong friends and learned some very valuable lessons during that time.

I hope to travel someday, though. Preferably with someone, and preferably before children come into the picture, at least for some of the trips.

I just got home from a performance that I'm really proud of, and I'm still kinda on an adrenaline rush. :) My duet partner and I performed the two-piano versio of the famous "Jupiter", from the Planets Suite by Holst. As far as duets go, this is the most massive work I've ever attempted, and we worked on it for 4 months. :3

I do have a video of the performance, but it's on a DVD and I'm having a hard time getting the file off of it so I can share it. I was hoping to put it on YouTube so my dad can see it in the Philippines.

So, in the absence of a video, here's a picture. :)
LoveNeverFails, that photo is AWESOME!! I'm imagining the song... I bet it was beautiful!

Arwen, I didn't see your original post about the hit and run. I'm glad someone commented on it. I'm so sorry! Are you okay? How serious was it? And GRRRR for the other guy who just drove off. God SAW THAT!

I heard to dip the finger in raw egg whites and let it dry that will form a protective layer. I dunno if that's true but I tried it once, helped with the pain

I implore those daytime shows like The View, The Social alike. It's like hens clucking, gossiping, talking over each other. It's enough to give me a migraine. I cannot believe people actually sit in the audience and listen to them. Do they pay to sit there?!
