Lol It's crazy how far this thread went without my involvement. I don't regret it, though.

Some of you might think that I hate this sort of stuff, but I'm actually starting to like it :D

And if you think that you were annoying me by posting up alot of your stupidity, well then ... you're plumb ignorant hahahaha
You leave Tiffany Arbuckle out of this!

She has a very successful music career and talks very plainly about what to do with our own brokenness.

I make you uncomfortable
When I'm around
You always find a reason
To shut me out
You don't understand me
So you push me away
And you claim
Jesus lets you live that way
Tell me

Why me?
Why am I not welcome in your company?
Why do you treat me like an enemy?
If you believe the way you say you do
Oh, then why am I unlovable to you?
Oh, why am I unlovable to you?

She's got a child
And no place to live
But all we can think
About is our politics
Where is the love now
Oh, that we talk so much about
That we shout
Cause I don't think she sees it
She's saying

Why me?
Why am I not welcome in your company?
Why do you treat me like an enemy?
If you believe the way you say you do
Oh, then why am I unlovable to you?
Oh, why am I unlovable to you?

So we say we love Jesus
But didn't we kill Him?
Cause we thought He was different
What was He thinking
What was He feeling
I bet He was saying

Why me?
Why am I not welcome in your company?
Why do you treat me like an enemy?
If you believe the way you say you do

Tell me, why me?
Why am I not welcome in your company?
Why do you treat me like an enemy?
If you believe the way you say you do
Oh, then why am I unlovable to you?
Oh, why am I unlovable to you?
Oh, why am I unlovable?

I have no idea who that is, but I will show you a true son of Asaph, a man who truly was in touch with Jesus.

Weary of struggling with my pain,
Hopeless to burst my nature’s chain,
Hardly I give the contest o’er,
I seek to free myself no more.

From my own works at last I cease,
God that creates must seal my peace;
Fruitless my toil and vain my care,
And all my fitness is despair.

Lord, I despair myself to heal:
I see my sin, but cannot feel;
I cannot, till Thy Spirit blow,
And bid the obedient waters flow.

’Tis Thine a heart of flesh to give;
Thy gifts I only can receive:
Here then to Thee I all resign;
To draw, redeem, and seal is Thine.

With simple faith, to Thee I call,
My Light, my Life, my Lord, my All:
I wait the moving of the pool;
I wait the word that speaks me whole.

Speak, gracious Lord, my sickness cure,
Make my infected nature pure;
Peace, righteousness, and joy impart,
And pour Thyself into my heart.

Finally!

If this thread had been more scripture and less conjecture, I think you would have found it may have been 30 pages long, and there would not be such a great divide here on the singles forum. Instead, 7 out of those 15 pages were people complaining about being single, with no discussion of the redemptive nature of Christ, or of that wonderful gift which they already had.

Hebrews 13:5
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

There has been an awful lot of covetousness in these "why am I still single" type threads.

I've no idea what you're talking about, but I love this psalm by the Wesleys.

Yes, we're aware you like starting petty arguments. The sad thing is people engage you in them.

I've no idea what you're talking about, but I love this psalm by the Wesleys.
cov·et

verb: covet; 3rd person present: covets; past tense: coveted; past participle: coveted; gerund or present participle: coveting
1.
yearn to possess or have (something).
"the president-elect covets time for exercise and fishing"

synonyms:
desire, yearn for, crave, have one's heart set on, want, wish for, long for, hanker after/for, hunger after/for, thirst for "even with all they have, they covet the wealth of others"

This:
"I want a wife so badly, even though Christ says He is the only one I'm supposed to want so desperately."

That's the coveting that is going on here.

You don't know how many times nice guys hear this haha.

And so I'm a "nice guy", then.

They say that because they don't want to ever be frank and say "I find you unattractive" LOL

Come on now. You've been posting your fair share of memes created by embittered hearts that blame rejection entirely on the woman alone.

Is all this cynicism really that productive?

I don't really know you that well.... but you seem to be of decent intelligence. So I'm sure you are better than this.

You exhibit quite a bit of bias. You speak of bulverisms, a term coined by a man who actually understood the rules of conversation.

You cannot pick and choose who's advice you are going to listen to. You are biased in favor of any opinion that will fit your world view that all women are somehow manipulative and only interested in one kind of man.

I've seen this several times now. Someone says something in a kind, non-judgmental manner that the world is not as bleak as you make it out to be, and you do one of several things:
1. Ignore their post entirely, instead focusing on one that meets your own criteria
2. Accuse them of not understanding you
3. Accuse them of being a troll
4. Dismiss their point wholesale because it does not fit your world view

I agree.

Although, you should understand that he is going to do one of those four things to this post, as well as this one agreeing with it. He'll ignore it or write it off, but he won't face his problems head-on. He won't admit that there is something that HE needs to change about himself (his attitude). Why? Because change is hard, and some people want everything to be easy. Because it takes a STRONG person to admit they are wrong.

But in the end, it's really his prerogative. He can just keep things the way they are and plug his ears to useful advice; he can end up bitter and alone. It happens to many people. So there you go.

... How ... how on earth did you come to this conclusion? ... Oh, I see. Let us see:

"Created by embittered hearts" ~ Of course, because they couldn't have come from men that have observed and understood the evil ways of women, because women cannot be evil, unless they insult other women lol.

that blame rejection entirely on the woman alone.
haha Wrong. We're unattractive, we're not "manly", we don't have the best jobs, we're "too nice", we're not "boyfriend material", we're not confident enough [and what horny woman wants an unconfident guy?, 'cause ....], we're not built, we're not like those "Hey girl" Christian memes (lol and never will!), not built, don't have a nice butt, ... and so we basically suck over all. But hey ... the men are to blame for all of that, right ladies? You never tell women to change their perspective, OF COURSE ... because they're women ... they got it all figured out already. They're minds are built in with "Absolute Truth" when it comes to relationships.

Is all this cynicism really that productive?
I'm actually not really that cynical in real life. I'm still holding on the the hope that there is a remnant of good, wise, kind Christian women out there that are nothing like their worldly counterparts. Nice girls for nice guys. Unfortunately, the problem is that they're NOT HERE lol
