I think an international body needs to have the power to hold to account any regime that is doing its own thing. At the moment the only regimes it goes after are the ones the US or Russia do not VETO.

While I don't like the idea of an international government, I believe something should be done. If the US and other countries pressed the UN to intervene when Syria used those chemical bombs on civilians, I don't see why this is different.

My view is this, the person who condemned islam , needs to look at the history of christianity to know islam does not have a monopoly on extremism , death and killing in the name of religion. Secondly all these drone strikes are doing is creating extremists as the US/UK involves themselves in illegal wars which are not about humanitarianism or spreading freedom and democrary but rather protecting the interests of capital, and protecting US interests. western governments were quite happy for saddam hussian to carry on killing his own people, even providing him with the weapons with which to do it, until he behaved like a naughty child and invaded kuwait. All this is about is protecting oil interests, access to natural resources, making money from perpetual war. Creating a police state at home and extending their powers of survielance and spread the dominance of capital , imperialism pure and simple, economic and political power. Thousands of innocent people have been killed in this war on terror , they are human beings , women and children who have done nothing to deserve this. It needs to stop now, nothing can justify this. All it is doing is creating a more dangerous world and creating the possibility of more terrorist attacks. See it for what it is.

I think if you study what Islam says a Muslim should do, and if you study what Christianity says a Christiani should do, you will find two very different outcomes.

Yes, we should demand repentance from our countries, and the means to do that is government. We can argue all day about wether the UN is good or not, but the reality is that the UN exists, and as Christians we should use the authorities placed above us to further justice and peace. In this escenario, I don't see a reason to not obey man, seeing that it doesn't go against God's commandment to protect innocent civilians. (Romans 13:1-5)

. Christians are commanded to obey authorities unless they go against God's revealed will. We are to pray for our leaders and bless our enemies. We are commanded to do good even if that involves suffering, because it's better to suffer doing good than for doing wrong (1Peter 3:17)I don't know what's more respectful, gracious, and just than that!
Removal of a regime is messy. It is easy to remove a regime, it is a lot harder to get a replacement. An international community has more options for diplomacy. Of course if the international community has no spine then it is left to the citizens as a last resort.

Answering Islam isn't necessary. Muslims are sufficient for that.
Islam also has no real notion of Justice. It leaves sin unaddressed. Allah puts it under a celestial rug.
