And... you have to drink a gallon of milk a day.
Well, GOMAD IS the most easiest and inexpensive option when it comes to protein intake. 128-144 grams of slow-absorbing and muscle-building protein along with carbs (lactose) for energy for a mere $3-4? You really can't beat it. Also consider that cow's milk is designed by nature to...make calves grow (cow babies, not lower legs)...it's pretty much designed for building muscle right from the get go.

I packed on almost 30 lbs in 3 months with GOMAD. About 10 of it was fat (I was drinking 2%), but I burned most of that back off and kept the muscle tissue in the two months following.

You *can* use protein supplements, but you don't have to. The only advantageous part of a protein shake is that they're quick, convenient, and when bought in bulk form, relatively inexpensive.

About all anyone can REALLY handle is 30-40 grams per metabolic cycle, and you can generally stack about six metabolic cycles a day (every three hours). If you do the math, that means a person really maxes out their ability to absorb protein between 180-240 grams a day. The guys who need more than 200 are usually already mostly muscle, and weigh north of 200 lbs. Most hardgainers (like myself) will see incredible gains just shooting for 160-180 grams a day. We already discussed GOMAD: if you're drinking skim milk, that's 144 grams out of the 160 you need right there! No protein supplement necessary...just eat a couple of eggs. ^_^

Oh, one word of warning about GOMAD, though. Literally, one word.

FIBER.

Remember, I've done this dance. TAKE MY ADVICE.

FIBER.

I just really, really hope that my future spouse will want to play racquetball with me. Not only want to play, but be at least my level or a little better (for a challenge), because I'm somewhat competitive in that way and it's hard for me to go easy on people, especially in racquetball because it's especially gratifying to me to just smack that ball hard.
I LOVE racquetball! We used to play in the firing range in the basement of the jail (when people were not shooting of course). That ball HURTS when it hits you. Had an apple size bruise on my side for WEEKS once. Good incentive NOT to MISS! :)

I'm very underweight for my age. My arms are sticks... Lol. I definitely want to get into working out at one point. I have tried it before, but I ended up not gaining any weight. I also injured myself... So I have to learn better techniques, both with eating and the actual exercises. But i'm definitely going to get muscular at one point!!! I declare it.

Just to clarify, I don't want to be some enormous hulk though lol. Just a little bigger than I am now, and healthy.

When it comes to a partner, I just want her to be healthy. I'm not expecting her to be some size 0 chick... A normal, healthy weight is more than fine for me.
I do agree with you about not getting carried away. I get a lot of info from the Female Hardbody's site, but I don't want to look like most of those women. :) I got a little carried away with P90X a couple of years ago and thought my abs looked too butch for comfort. I like being female and LOOKING female. :)

X!!!

*makes the X with his arms*

Seriously, by the third video, I wanted to punch Tony Whoreton in the face so bad. Once I had the routines memorized, I'd always choose the option where he's muted except to tell you to change exercises. But the routine works.

Also, whoever decided Yoga X was a good idea deserves a high five. In the face. With a chair. That's on fire.

I am a workaholic and I forget/don't take time to eat as I should. Then I might eat the wrong thing. Trying to do better. Doctor gets onto me if I lose too much. Doing okay right now though, especially with Christmas goodies all over the place! :D

Yeah, I heard yoga in general is kind of weird lol. Some people say it's similar to a religion. I dunno.

I've heard good things about 'Insanity', and i've heard mixed reviews about Boflex.

A lot of guys I worked with spoke highly of Boflex. Don't know that I'd recommend it for women though. Too much of that can make a woman's upper lady parts disappear. Trying to be tactful here. lol

Yoga is too Hollywood for me :)

Yeah, Boflex seems very ideal, especially since it's an all-in-one gym in your own home. My mom wants that 'Tread-climber' they have lol. In my opinion it does look better than a treadmill.
