Compare these calendars. the first is during the time of Moses, and the second with Jesus' day. They incorporate the Passover, and the feast of tabernacles during the seventh month. Focus on Passover for the answer you desire. There was an annual Sabbath on the 15th day, ad a weekly Sabbath on the 17th day.

Actually, this is a good calendar to look at. Notice the circled date? That is Wednesday the Passover. Even though the Passover is a Feast day, it is not a Sabbath or a high day...
Lev 23:5 On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the LORD's Passover.
Lev 23:6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD; seven days you must eat unleavened bread.
Lev 23:7 On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.
Notice the Passover is not a Holy Convocation, but the next day is? The Passover was and is called the preparation day for the First Day of Unleavened Bread which was on Thursday in the above calendar. This is the high day mentioned in John 19:31...
Joh 19:31 Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
So the women could not immmediately embalm (such as it was) the body nor could they purchase the fragrant oils and spices on Thursday...
Remember, He was entombed at/about sunset on Wednesday and at sunset the Sabbath (the high day, the First Day of Unleavened Bread) began. They could not procure or prepare until it was over...

All businesses normally closed for the Sabbath at the ninth hour of a preparation day, or 3 p.m. This was the exact hour when Jesus died (Matthew 27:46-50). The women could not buy spices until the stores reopened after the Sabbath. Mark 16:1 plainly says, "And when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought spices, that they might come and anoint him." - from No Sign-But The Sign of Jonah-Fred Coulter

This is why there are Sabbaths for moveable feasts and the Sabbath of the Lord. The Sabbath of the Lord ia always on the seventh day while the Feast Sabbath or Rest Days may be any day of the week.
Yahweh does not make errors, people do. Yeshua was crucifed and was in the tomb for three days. You want to say three days and three nights; this is fine too. Mary came to the tomb the morning of the first day, after the Sabbath of the Lord.........it does not take much effort to figure the rest providing you are aware of the Sabbath of Passover not being the Sabath of the Lord.
Most people will not even consider this because it is too Jewish.....(I do not mean to sound like Jackie Mason.) Those who will consider and learn about it will receive much blessing.

The weekly Sabbath that is what we call Saturday.

In matthew 28 it say dawning towords the 1st day is this morning or night ?

This ascension goes over most people's heads. This is a Feast Day...

Lev 23:12 And you shall offer on that day, when you wave the sheaf, a male lamb of the first year, without blemish, as a burnt offering to the LORD.
Lev 23:13 Its grain offering shall be two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to the LORD, for a sweet aroma; and its drink offering shall be of wine, one-fourth of a hin.
Lev 23:14 You shall eat neither bread nor parched grain nor fresh grain until the same day that you have brought an offering to your God; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
It is the Wave Sheaf Offering. The day that shadows Christ's ascension to the Father and the presenting of Himself as the perfect sacrifice to the Father for all of mankind. Can you imagine the emotion? Can you imagine as Christ walked across the sea of glass to His Father saying I have finished the work You have given Me to do?

If the Sabbath was just ending, it had to be on what we call Sunday morning since the Sabbath is Friday suset to Saturday sunset. It says in the early MORNING after the Sabbath. So Sabbath ended at sunset Saturday evening, the witnesses were inside all night until morning when they went to the tomb, Sunday morning. If this is wrong, well, it is like Christmas, I really do not care, I believe He did what He was prophesied to do, and whether I truly know or do not, is moot. I observe the same Sabbath of the Lord as did our Salvation, and my Salvation is not effected by what I know or do not know about details. It would be nice to have this settled for all.

We are sealed by the Holy Spirit. The Sabbath is a sign.
Exo 31:13 "Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: 'Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.
Exo 31:17 It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.' "
