Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old (this present Earth) is ready to vanish away.
Isa 51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
Isa 51:7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
New Covenant
1) Fault was found with the people
2) To be made with House of Israel and House of Judah
3) God's Laws written on their hearts (ie Holy Spirit given)
4) Printed Bibles to have same testimony or second witness of what Laws are written on our hearts
5)God will call them "His People" and they will call Him "My God"
6)Everyone knows God and His Laws (no need to teach others)
7)God will be merciful unto their unrighteousness
8)God will not remember their sins and iniquities
9)Now the Earth is ready to disappear and be replaced with New Heaven and New Earth
Who has the New Covenant? Not one of us have arrived into the New Covenant.
#5 Above reminds me of this:
(Exodus 31:13) Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
(Ezekiel 20:12) Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.
(Ezekiel 20:20) And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.
Mar 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Mar 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Mar 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Mar 12:32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
Mar 12:33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
Mar 12:34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
So, New Covenant is only for those who are of or have joined the House of Israel or of the House of Judah. And The Sabbaths are a sign which God and which Kingdom we belong to.
Perhaps this is the very reason Jesus says to many,
(Matthew 7:21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
(Matthew 7:22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Mat 7:23 Then I will tell them to their faces, 'I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!'
(Matthew 25:11) Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. Mat 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
(Luke 6:46) And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Luk 6:47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
Luk 6:48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
Luk 6:49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
(Luke 13:25) When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:Luk 13:26 Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you! you taught in our streets!'
Luk 13:27 and he will tell you, 'I don't know where you're from. Get away from me, all you workers of wickedness!'
1Co 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
(Deuteronomy 32:4) He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
(Deuteronomy 32:31) For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.
(2 Samuel 23:3) The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.
2Co 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
What!! We have the power to cleanse ourselves in both flesh and spirit? We can "perfect holiness"? How? By obedience!! Sabbath(s) are the key starting point. Buy you some oil before the Lord comes.
