Well, I figure maybe like the guy on the train who's also looking for a date worth keeping.

Two basic criteria:

-They have to follow Christ
-They have to bathe.
Follow Christ: YES
Bathe: NO
Sackcloth/ashes: YES

Jonah 3:6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered [him] with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

Well I am almost 37, I cant get all crazy picky. Being a follower of Christ is non-negotiable but I can be flexible with the other - clothes pins on the nose, wearing orange peels around my neck etc. I mean I don't want to be all

Ps 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Well, my advice is letting God be your matchmaker. Trust Him to lead your husband to you. That doesn't mean you just sit at home and do nothing though. God isn't going to do everything for you; you have to make yourself available for Him to bring the right guy to you.

Basically, make sure you go out in public every so often, and get involved with other people. Get yourself involved with other Christians, or just get involved with other people in general. Keep going to church, go to events, use online dating, etc.

The key, though, is waiting on God's timing. I'm not saying it will take a while, but i'm saying it MAY take a while. Be patient for the right guy to show up. Until the right guy is brought to you, get that intimate relationship with God. That's the most important thing after all.

Basically what you need to do is play Scrabble with other Christians.

If the man your eyeing suddenly is spelling out words like marriage, the one, soul mate.. God may be trying to tell you something.

But if he is spelling things like Anti-Christ, sixsixsix, Oprah Winfrey... run for the hills.

spelling soul mate would be a red flag for me as well.

To run the other way!

Husband is a title I could fill. Soul mate, egads, it's like they're expecting me to complete them or something. EEP!

Any woman that would "expect" you to complete her,you should run from, regardless of whatever title you are falling under, wether it be husband or soulmate. It's all rubbish. People who get involved with other's in hope of "completing" themselves just set themselves up for major disappointment.

This crap about bringing 50/50 to a marriage or relationship is insane.

You bring 50% of yerself? Sheesh....so what happens when you have a bad day? Yer' spouse only get's 25% or less???

100/100 both filled to capacity with Jesus. Pretty much the only way to go.

no one is perfect, but both parties should be set in their relationships with Jesus, above all else!

Of course you have a ton of "christians" who manipulate, lie & act the fool behind the scenes...but if yer' stupid enough to "fall" for them, then you get what you deserve I suppose.

Oh...my. I will catch heat for that last bit of heresy, huh? lol Truth hurts!

I am a very serious person good sir.

>_>
So am I --- although, on occasion ( or possibly more often ;) ), I try to lighten up a bit -- I find that it makes life in general more enjoyable.

I was only throwing something out there that I thought might be somewhat amusing...

Sometimes my humor is a bit dry or ???

No offense intended.

If anyone thought that it was too lame... :p

:D
