I'm partial to "Studmuffin."
Ya beat me to it

Depending on who I am talking to my lady is referenced to as either "my lady" or "my fiance".

As for how she refers to me I prefer that she follows in Sarah's example (Genesis 18)
:p

It's more about how you don't reference her/him.

If she/he isn't referred to as sister/brother, cousin, family member, friend, then chances are it's something more. And when have someone with you, and they are introduced to others without those labels, most folks catch on quick.

I could list all the things women HAVE called me...

One of my favorites has been "future Ex-girlfriend"

I have used "other half," "partner," and "significant other," in conjunction with "girlfriend."

Because The Ex and I were Arrested Development fans, we'd greet each other with "Heyyyyy boyfriend!" a la Buster Bluth.

Even at 35, during the first stages of a committed relationship, I'd use "girlfriend" or "s.o.", but having read through Song of Songs a few times now, I think that after I knew I was in love, and had declared it, I would call her "my beloved."

(It would be weird to call her The Shulamite. ^_^ )

Yes, I was one of those who, when asked if they had a friend with benefits replied, yes. I had friends on welfare (benefits). It made sense to me. I was too innocent for my own good.
