I had someone try being a bully to me when I was 13. asking me if I was still a virgin.. my reply was "ask your mom" the bully then proceded to get laughed at by his bully friends which made him mad and then he wanted to fight me.. he lost that one to.

It sounds really silly to me to call a man my boyfriend at my age. I usually say "my man" at this point in my life.

I never thought about that. It also sounds like a nick name for one of the Little Rascals. Spanky, Alfalfa and Schmoopy Puddin Pants.

At my former job there was a young woman who talked about her friend with benefits a lot. She called him her friend with benefits. Which I thought was gross. Anyhow one of the older women finally asked what that meant. I told her it was her friend who had medical benefits. I didn't want to be the one to tell her what it meant.

Two that were sort of funny that I called the ex-wife (because she was English) were...
"trouble & strife" -which is Cockney slang for "Wife", & "er indoors" which I stole from watching re-runs of this show a few times when I visited. Which refers to the main character's Wife.

I've never had one, so I don't know what I'd want to call him, or what I'd want to be called. I've never really thought abot it...maybe I should? Definitely not "My boo". Bleh. I don't want to be called that either.

When my best friend and I are alone, we will lightheartedly refer to our significant others as "my person".
My mom usually refers to my boyfriend by name, but she never says "your boyfriend". She always says "your sweetheart".
My Filipino aunts always call him my "special friend"
I will sometimes refer to him as my man. Or manfriend, but that's usually when I'm being a little silly.
I've heard from mutual friends that he has referred to me as his lady in my absence. I think it's sweet.

I agree with Rachel that "my boo" isn't appealing, but I don't mind "beau".
Also, I don't like the term "my honey". I don't know why. It just makes me cringe. It's not the same as calling someone "honey" directly. But referring to them in the third person as "my honey" weirds me out for some reason
