I don't consider giving elderly and disabled people false hope via prosperity gospel nonsense to be noble.

I don't consider mass deception and lying about having heard prophecies noble, even if it's supposedly for a good cause.

One must also understand that the truelly great healing is of the soul, heart. When one is at peace and content in all things. I have always seen this as the true healing. God bless, pickles

He left some people sick because they were meant to be sick. That would not be a LOVING God, it would be a CRUEL God....which He is not.

That's right pickles. The only healing we have and experience in the atonement is through the blood of Christ when we get saved and that is through regeneration and redemption of the soul and conscience and not of the body because the redemption of our bodies will come later when we go home to meet the Lord. God may heal certain people physically when they get saved but that healing has nothing to do with the atonement or 'by His stripes we are healed'. When our Lord healed the sick it was never because of the atonement and He had not shed His blood yet.

I don't think arguable opinions lead to anywhere here. So people fall. Some say it's unbiblical, some say The Lord moves in mysterious ways. Let's stay on facts. He prophesied, that Fidel Castro will die in the 90's.
If he is a changed man now, then how can we be sure of that?

Benny Hinn is obviously not led by the spirit of anything but Mammon. It honestly makes me sick and disgusted to think about the man.
I absolutely agree! Hinn is a money grabbing cretin, a false preacher. I remember watching a broadcast of his on early morning tv one day and there he was in some office or living room surrounded by lavish and excessive furniture and tapistries, asking for money no less!

What about Pat Robertson? That man has done most probably more damage to the cause of Christ than just about anyone I can think of!
On wikipedia, there is a page soley dedicated to the controversies that Robertson has been involved in!

According to wikipedia: "Robertson prayed to God to steer hurricanes away from his company's Virginia Beach, Virginia headquarters. He credited his prayers for steering the course of Hurricane Gloria in 1985, which caused billions of dollars of destruction in many states along the U.S. east coast."

Also, "Robertson claims on his web site that through training and his "Age-Defying energy shake", he is able to leg press 2,000 pounds (907.2 kg) (ROFL!) while others claim he is a liar, pushing a common energy formula".

It is fair enough to say that he has said some things which are sound in principle, but equally true he has said some of the most rediculous things I have ever heard!!

I believe that cancer, diabetes, sickle cell, high blood preasure, ect.... is a sickness that yes you need to go to a doctor and yes take the medicine..... but God can and will heal of these illnesss, But, depression, low self esteem, is a state of mind which you need any medication for.... just change the way you think or tell the devil to leave..and it is not people telling you what people think they are tell people " what God said in his Word " so if you are flustered then you flustered with God,it is up to each individul to either believe the Word of God or not.
but if you ask a question and you get the truth according to what God said then it is your conviction and not the messenger.
f your faith is week and you need one who is spiritully minded to pray for you; go to God on your behalf, it will be better to ask, and not reject what you don't know can help you or not.
because no opinion of another will stop the hand of God when it is against someone. even if they have agreed with you, I am so spiritually minded, and I thank God I am no earthly good.. because when I used to be I was an enemy of God.. my faith was like your's is now. I am full and running over with the Spirit of Christ.
I am not looking down on anyone who has little faith. cause I was there once myself. but your frustrations will not change the word of God.
and if God tell you not to take medicine then you stop.
but the devil is real and if you read the wird you will see that he is the cause of 99.9% of all the troulbe, and sicknesses, from epilepsy, to schisophrinia, blindness, deafness, insanity, the women with the issue of blood for eighteen years; Jesus rebuked the evil spirits from them all. the woman who " the devil had bound " as the Bible say she spent all her money on doctors and they did her no good, but then she heard that Jesus was passing by... all she did was touch the him of his garment and she was made whole.."Come on " does this not move you to what to go to the Lord.? Jesus said that he has not found no faith like this woman had in all the land. so if a christian stands on the word of God and tell another to do the same. then it should not cause a promblem.... we just have to have fait and if not that is between the faithless and God.

I agree with definition Christ. You must be led. Rom 8:14 There have been too many people who have claimed to have been in faith and ended up dead. This brings a reproach to the gospel and the real faith people. I've fallen into to this trap of saying I'm in faith and I'm not. That is why we must love the truth.

WHAT I WANNA KNOW IS WHERE IN THE BIBLE DOES IT SAY WE SHOULD KNOCK PEOPLE TO THE GROUND WITH WHITE COATS, AND SHOULD I BE DOING THIS IN MY DAILY WALK WITH THE LORD.
John 18 (NKJV)
1 When Jesus had spoken these words, He went out with His disciples over the Brook Kidron, where there was a garden, which He and His disciples entered.
2 And Judas, who betrayed Him, also knew the place; for Jesus often met there with His disciples.
3 Then Judas, having received a detachment of troops, and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons.
4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that would come upon Him, went forward and said to them, “Whom are you seeking?”
5 They answered Him, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus said to them, “I am.” And Judas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them.
6 Now when He said to them, “I am,” they drew back and fell to the ground.
7 Then He asked them again, “Whom are you seeking?” And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”
8 Jesus answered, “I have told you that I am He. Therefore, if you seek Me, let these go their way,”
9 that the saying might be fulfilled which He spoke, “Of those whom You gave Me I have lost none.”
10 Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.
11 So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?”

John 14:2 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

Can I ask you why you think the people who were trying to arrest Jesus fell on the ground?

Could it have been, the Holy Spirit ?

If that possibility is even possible, than people falling to the ground is a work of God.

John 14:2 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

Whoever "believes in Jesus" will do the same works Jesus did, and greater works.

Seems to me they fell down because they were in the presence of Jesus.

White coat guy is not Jesus.

Do you think if I hit people with a white coat they would fall down? I just don't see a point to the whole exercise.

Lol, it's not the white coat or the guy. You're exactly right it's Jesus. Jesus works through us.

Galations 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

It's not an exercise either lol. It's being in the presence of God. It's too overwhelming that they just fall to the ground. Our bodies can not handle God.

"About noon, O king, as I was on the road, I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, blazing around me and my companions. We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, 'Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.'" (Acts 26:13-14)

Related to, but not quite the same thing, there's scriptures in the old or new testament where God causes a person to fall into deep sleep, a trance, caught up in the third heaven or be "in the Spirit".

Usually the purpose of being slain in the Spirit is to be "in the Spirit" where God can impart some knowledge, revelation or something. I don't agree with it being done for the sake of it, i.e. to merely fall over, there's no point in that.

Evil spirits just love for you to worship man, and they will do anything they can to get you to go in another direction and not chase God. I'M NOT SAYING THIS GUY IS NOT OF GOD I DON'T JUDGE ANYONE. There is only one GOD and many forms on how to reach Him most of them just test your heart do you want God or some fancy song and dance. God's word says be Holy and righteous any thing else is just not good enough, its milk sorry to throw meat at you but how long will your drink milk and think you got it.

Ive never said not to go to God of course everyone should, we should pray , have others pray over us , laying on of hands, im a full believer in all of those things but i also believe God expects us to do what we need to do to help ourselves , like eating healthy stoppin bad habits and goin to the dr and take your meds..IF God says stop taking meds by all means do so but a person had better be SURE its God tellin you so and not a person thinkin they are so full of the spirit that they cant see the forest for the trees, Im certainly not flustered with God at all, man corrupts , He does not , ignorance corrupts and defiles, He does not.Anyone to tell another individua who is clinically depressedl to think 'happy happy happy' thoughts and all will be well , thats insane and thats the kind of ppl who wake up to find loved ones , friends , family , church members dead because the' happy thought ' theory didnt work. you are certainly entitled to your opinion i just disagree
