So, you are saying that it is literally 100% impossible for the couple to break their promise to God?
One of the purposes of betrothal is so that the couple will not have any backdoor exits on their vow to be married.
And that's what makes Betrothal different then just some "normal" and "everyday" engagement.
In Betrothal, a woman has entered into a covenant agreement to marriage.
In an engagement; while the woman has agreed to marry the man, yet she has not entered into a covenant agreement.
