Notice she said every GOOD and PERFECT gift. I personally don't find anything good or perfect about a panic attack.

If you have CAD (Chronic Anxiety Disorder), then you're like me.

To be honest, it was just the luck of the draw. We both had a coding in our DNA

^^^^(Correction of above)^^^^

If you have CAD (Chronic Anxiety Disorder), then you're like me.
We both have a coding sequence in our DNA, or a psychological development that increases the chance of anxiety/panic attacks in us. That is the scientific answer. To be honest, it's just the luck of the draw, but I don't think I'm qualified to suggest a religious/spiritual explanation... However, the Hindus believe that negative things that occur within an individual are the result of bad karma (bad things committed in past lives). However, you probably believe in a linear life sequence, so that may not appease you.

In any case, the only thing I could tell you to alleviate your concerns would be to tell you that life isn't fair (which you're probably aware of). That is to say, we all have our problems, yes, but these problems aren't all equal. Many children are born in stark poverty with disease, while some are just born with CAD and live in a family of moderate wealth (That would be me and not a sarcastic remark towards you).

In conclusion, I'm aware of just how cruel and frightening panic attacks are; they've nearly ruined my life numerous times. However, as clichéd as it is, we're both lucky not to be born in somewhere (or someone) that would cause much more problems (like the Sudan or being born into a Muslim household, which I think would be bad for you if you have Christian views). There is no answer other than it's the scientific one I provided previously, unless you're willing to to interpret things on a spiritual level.

(Note: I'm sorry if my wording is too confusing, I've been awake for quite some time.)

Panic is extreme FEAR. It is a demonic attack. When you start to feel panic, tell fear to leave you in the name of Jesus Christ. Then start singing praises to the Lord, giving Him thanks for His sacrifice and shed blood that set you free.

Yaeger, my mom started getting panic attacks when she was in her early twenties, my grandma got panic attacks when she was in her early twenties, I started getting panic attacks, and guess what? I'm in my early twenties. It can be one of a couple things. It can be psychological, where you are consciously making yourself panic, or it can be physical where something in your chemical and genetic make up isn't working properly. God gave us a sense of survival, He doesn't give us panic attacks. You can use your panic attacks as a way to get closer to Him, to have faith in Him. When you start panic-ing, do like what they said before, pray, sing praises, etc. However, unfortunately, if it's a physical problem, you are going to need meds. Nothing helps my mom's anxiety, she has to take lexipro for it. I am also supposed to take meds, but I control my anxiety by mentally overcoming the fear part of it. My heart still beats fast, I still shake, I still get dizzy and out of breath, and I still sweat, but those are PHYSICAL problems that the meds would fix. I deal with those and overcame the psychological fear by using my faith because I hate using meds. I can deal with randomly breaking out into panic attacks by closing my eyes, praying, assuring myself that I'm okay, and then I let the beating heart, sweats, etc just work themselves out after the panic attack goes away.

Not everything is a sign, not everything is a punishment from God, not everything is a demon attack, some things are simply because.

Hey Brother. I think I agree with Denise on this one. Sometimes, because we are Christians, we are led to believe the things that happen in our life, both good and bad, are directly sent to us from above because we are his children. I understand you may be frustrated about your situation but think one of the mot important first steps you can take is to accept that God is not the author of this difficulty you are having. In this world there are many struggles, it is just the nature of the world we live in. I'm sure many things regarding this world will become more clear in the next, but for now try to deal with this problem the best you can with the blessing of modern medicine and therapy. You have many brothers and sisters to support you, you are part of a very big family, don't forget that.
God be with You

If you have CAD (Chronic Anxiety Disorder)
hmm, I wonder if I have CAD. I always seem to be worried at some amount level even when I have nothing to actually worry about.

yaeger1, take my advice. See a Psychiatrist to get stabelized. Just remember taking meds doesn't mean you have any less trust in God or anythign like that. Actually I personally think God is answering my prayers though med on now. I have pretty bad anxiety too. And also go see psychologist to hopefully get healed or least help out your anxiety. Just remember God can use psychologist too. Especally if they are Christian.
