I am left of center politically, because that is just how Canadians are. We are very conservative fiscally, and as far as religion, we vary. I am mostly conservative as far as my Christianity, believing the Bible to be true.

However, once again I am puzzled as to why American politics, assumed to always be conservative, always appears in these forums??

1. It leaves out the rest of the world.
2. It assumes the American system is the only way to run a government
3. It assumes America is the center of the world.
4. It has nothing to do with God!

God is the center of the world, and anything that doesn't put God first is going to be in trouble. Which is pretty much the whole world, as near as I can tell.
I live in Indiana a state in the United States. thus what Indiana or the USA government does effects me. its personal.
What Canada or Mexico or Ireland or Russia does pollitical is of little concern for me as it does not effect me.

Actually, the founder of CC doesn't even live in North America. And the constant posts by Americans assuming America is all that counts when it comes to end times are what bother me, not Americans, or even the US itself. That is what I was referring to in my last post.

However, I did find one almost Canadian thread in the Singles Forum. Yep, it was talking about cold weather and how we have cornered the market on it! not exactly a thrilling revelation, but it was funny.

Besides, I owe it to Americans to explain to them that America is not the centre of the universe. I lived in the US for two years growing up and went to school there! That was a long time ago, but the attitude was exactly the same, except for a few very wise people. Americans are taught nothing about the world outside their borders, except to be threatened by it. They are not exposed to other cultures, which is very ethno-centric. In Canada, we have about 8 American TV channels as basic, and many more than can be watched. We watch American ads, read American magazines, and American Internet floods the Ethernet. We get a bit of exposure to British documentaries, but not much else.

I have quite a few Aussie Internet friends, and they are teaching me about that part of the world, which I have never been exposed to. I hope Americans and others will wake up and realize that there is more than one country in God's world! And how will they know if no one tells them!!?? LOL
Its like your complaining just to complain. Oh no americans are talking about america...how sad. Let me save them. Or perhaps you just could go talk about canada with some canadians.

I would like to think, also, that liberalism, in whatever form it takes in other countries, is just as bad.

Whats truly disturbing, in the chatroom here there are a few europeans and they cannot even imagine the conservative ideal. They have been indoctrinated to the point that conservative thought is as repugnant to them as rape and murder is.

Bought and paid for. In america during the early 1860's we fought a war and one aspect of that war was freeing the slaves from private ownership. Now in america it seems public ownership of people is being widely accepted as a good thing.

amazing

Perhaps because its Americans starting the threads? And the site has a very large American population. And people are just making threads about what they know, and therefore an American wanting to talk about American politics is going to start a thread about American politics. Not to mention politics are a very sizable issue in the US.
Rather than complaining that the topics, by Americans, are always about American politics, why not complain at people from other countries for not starting threads about their own countries politics? How many threads have You started about Canadian politics, for example?

I've yet to understand why people complain about topics often being centered around what seems to the the largest geographical basis on the site. What else do you expect?
Actually there is one CCer who isn't American and never been here. He used to whine and complain about "American" threads, and now every time he makes a thread it is about American politics and how certain political groups aren't Christian because they don't agree with his personal views. He takes a rather anti american stance on everything.

American conservatives are all white, racist fundementalists that cling to our guns.

The media is part of the problem. They are supposed to be a guard against government corruption no matter the party in the white house...not anymore.

That is the best thing this administration has done, exposed the media for what it truly is.

Did you ever consider that maybe the majority of frequent posters are american? You realize the flags arent accurate for everyone right? AND if you have such issues with Ameri-centric threads, then stop visiting them.

Canada is always complaining!

So many of you have exactly proved my point!

Only America counts, and you don't care to know anything about any other countries.

Somehow you are so blind, you fail to realize that what happens outside your borders is actually very important for the future of your country.

Wars in other countries that you create is a starting point.

Then there is business and import/export commodities. Do you know whether the US has a positive trade balance or a negative? Do you know that the US owes China 3 billion dollars? If they asked for it, the US would be bankrupt.

Your country wants my oil. In pipelines that damages the environment. Doesn't that mean anything? Your president goes to many other countries to make secret and private deals. Doesn't that mean anything?

I am not just talking about Canada. I really don't care if you talk about the politics of my country. But the politics of countries around the globe affect America. You are not isolated, but you all seem to show no concern for international politics and what the rest of the world can do or not do to America.

My desire is that Americans do learn about the rest of the world. I see over and over this isolationist view, that only America counts. We would never do that in Canada. We learn about other countries, because it affects us. Americans are woefully ignorant of the rest of the world, and it may be your downfall.

Not Obama, but the ignorance of Americans may be the end of your country. Just look at the history of the British Empire, if you want to see an empire that collapsed from within. Or the Roman!!

Learn history, and look beyond your borders. You have lost supremacy in the world in every area, but you keep on acting like the rest of the world doesn't affect you.

Rant over!!

Did you know the US expelled the Indian ambassador, and now India has expelled the US Ambassador today?

What will that mean not just for America, but for the world? That is the kind of news that should be posted here, because the ramifications will radiate out into the whole world. And what will happen to American missionaries in India?

By the way, I got that from a very intelligent native American! Maybe you should give your country back to them? Just joking!

my reply in CAPS

So many of you have exactly proved my point!

Only America counts, and you don't care to know anything about any other countries.

TO ME, YES IT DOES I LIVE HERE. I DO NOT LIVE IN CANADA OR THE UK OR RUSSIA. WE ARE TALKING POLITICS NOT WHAT KIND OF FLOWER GROWS OR WHAT KIND OF ANIMAL CRAWLS ALONG THE GROUND OR THE WEATHER. THE POLITICS OF ANY OTHER NATION DOES NOT CONCERN ME.

Somehow you are so blind, you fail to realize that what happens outside your borders is actually very important for the future of your country.

AGAIN NOT BLIND, I COULD CARE LESS WHAT SOME DICTATOR IN THE MIDDLE EAST OR ASIA IS DOING. IF THEY ARE NOT DROPPING BOMBS ON MY NATION I COULD CARE LESS WHAT THEY DO.

Wars in other countries that you create is a starting point.

IF IT WAS UP TO ME, THE US WOULD NOT BE STARTING WARS FOR OIL

Then there is business and import/export commodities. Do you know whether the US has a positive trade balance or a negative? Do you know that the US owes China 3 billion dollars? If they asked for it, the US would be bankrupt.

ITS NEG, JUST CAUSE WE BEEN SOLD OUT BY THE BANKSTERS. THE USA BEEN BANKRUPT SINCE 1913 AT THE CREATION OF THE FED RESERVE. HONESTLY EVERY ITEM USED IN THIS NATION SHOULD BE MADE HERE, NOT IN CHINA. IF IT WAS UP TO ME EVERY BOAT IMPORTING CRAP FROM CHINA INTO THIS NATION WOULD BE TORPEDOED.

Your country wants my oil. In pipelines that damages the environment. Doesn't that mean anything? Your president goes to many other countries to make secret and private deals. Doesn't that mean anything?

CANADA WANTS TO SELL SAID OIL, AND THE SO CALLED PRESIDENT IS A TRATOR.

I am not just talking about Canada. I really don't care if you talk about the politics of my country. But the politics of countries around the globe affect America. You are not isolated, but you all seem to show no concern for international politics and what the rest of the world can do or not do to America.

I DONT TALK CANADIAN POLITICS BECAUSE I DONT CARE WHAT POLITICS ARE IN CANADA IT DOES NOT EFFECT ME.

My desire is that Americans do learn about the rest of the world. I see over and over this isolationist view, that only America counts. We would never do that in Canada. We learn about other countries, because it affects us. Americans are woefully ignorant of the rest of the world, and it may be your downfall.

ISOLATIONIST IS GOOD. SINCE YOU WANT TO BE POKING CANADA'S NOSE INTO THE WORLD, HAVE AT IT. YOU CAN GO TRADE BLOOD FOR OIL AND SUPPORT EVIL DICTATORS AND HAVE ISLAMIC JIHADIST FLYING PLANES INTO YOUR BUILDINGS.

Not Obama, but the ignorance of Americans may be the end of your country. Just look at the history of the British Empire, if you want to see an empire that collapsed from within. Or the Roman!!

THE USA WAS NOT MENT TO BE AN EMPIRE, AGAIN THE US WAS TAKEN OVER BY ELITIST BANKSTERS

Learn history, and look beyond your borders. You have lost supremacy in the world in every area, but you keep on acting like the rest of the world doesn't affect you.

NEVER WANTED SUPREMACY.

When Canada gets pneumonia the world does not notice.

When America scratches her nose, the world is there with cameras.

Being number one has a lot of responsibilities and drawbacks. Its part of being the best nation in the world.

Also, I think these posts about america being american centric ( like what, we are supposed to be Luxembourg centric??? ) is to distract from my original post that totally devastates all liberal ideology.....

and I doubt anyone from Canada is a staunch conservative.
