1.I will let you answer your own question.. Did Jesus do any miracles before he got the Holy Spirit??

2. Did Jesus disciples do the same miracles? I will remind you he sent out 72 disciples 12 apostles later on Paul and the Corinth church..

3 Luke 9:49And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us. What about that guy?? Lol
I'll answer the question after you do. Give me an answer of a #1 or a #2.

Let me rephrase this again -- (I added a sentence to answer #2 to improve the clarity of that choice).

When Jesus was on earth, was Jesus God in the flesh (and also fully human), or was He merely a man who was empowered by the Holy Spirit?

To make this clear....you have to answer #1 or #2.

#1.) Jesus was God in the flesh while He was on earth. This means that Jesus was fully human and fully God. He did not do the miracles as simply a man empowered by the Holy Spirit.

#2.) Jesus was merely a human who was empowered by the Holy Spirit, and He did all of His miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit. We can do the same miracles Jesus did because we are empowered by the Holy Spirit, too. Jesus was not God.

Which answer do you go with? #1 or #2?

Given your response above, and what you said in the other thread, I'm guessing that your answer is #2. However, I want to be certain, so I am giving you a chance to give us your specific answer.

Answer me with a #1 or a #2, and I will answer the question and the questions you asked me here.

I will say again.. Jesus was a God in heaven but He left all his heavenly divine Godly power in heaven when He walk the earth... The Holy Spirit empowered him to do all things.. Yes we can do the same thing because his disciples did also and they was fully man.

So you believe Jesus was a God in heaven. So then do you believe in more than one God?

All right....so you believe in the kenosis doctrine which says that Jesus left all of His deity and all of His divine powers in heaven when He came to earth. This is still denying His deity while Jesus was on earth. It's in essence claiming that Jesus used to be God, stopped being God when He became human, and then became God again at the resurrection or ascension, if ever. But it still denies Jesus' deity while He was on earth.

So you think that we can walk on water, turn water into wine, and copy every miracle that Jesus did just because Jesus did it?

I'll now answer my own question. If it hasn't been obvious so far, I go with answer #1:

is Jesus 100% God in the flesh and walked earth as 100% God and 100% man at the same time like scripture says.

Now to answer your questions here....

1.) I assume that you are asking if Jesus did any miracles before His baptism when the Holy Spirit landed on Him like a dove. The Bible does not record that He performed any miracles before that, but that doesn't mean He didn't, and it doesn't mean that He couldn't. The baptism was kind of the start to His public ministry, so He probably didn't perform any before this.

Again, that doesn't mean that He could not perform any before this. It also doesn't mean that He only performed the miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit.

2.) Jesus' disciples did not copy every single miracle that Jesus performed. They did heal and drive out demons. Peter did walk out on the water with Jesus right in front of him. The disciples did not calm storms with their hands, change water into wine, etc. The point of Christianity isn't for Jesus' followers to copy every miracle Jesus did.

No NT writer said that signs and wonders was more important than the gospel itself. None of them preached signs and wonders. Instead, they preached the gospel.

3.) I don't know what your point or question is with that one, so I can't answer it.

Mormans and JW's also believe Jesus was "a god." And Christadelphians and a lot of other cults.

I think you are unorthodox, and that is what is causing all these heretical beliefs. I'm sorry for you. God is going to correct you one day.

Please repent, and believe the true gospel.

I will take that as a no. Since we are going according to the bible.

Again, that doesn't mean that He could not perform any before this. It also doesn't mean that He only performed the miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The question was there was a guy not following Jesus and casting out demons in Jesus name.. How did he do that if he wasn't with Jesus or the group?

Some of what I said got stuck in your quote.

The doctrine that Jesus Christ "set aside His deity" while on earth is probably from the New Apostolic Reformation. Bill Johnson of Bethel Redding Church here in California teaches it so it's well and alive in the USA today.

I don't mean that Jesus' followers had to be surrounded by Jesus when they performed any miracle. And I never said that the Holy Spirit doesn't empower people to heal or drive out demons, both then and today.

I mentioned Peter being by Jesus when he walked on water because I believe that the miracle of Jesus walking on water points to Jesus' deity. He had control over the water. He could walk on it. Walking on water is a different kind of miracle than healing people. It isn't something that is meant to be repeated by followers of Jesus because it serves no purpose in bringing people to Christ. The fact that Jesus did it pointed to who He is.

I'm trying to ask you clear questions -- please answer me clearly. Answering vaguely leaves too much open to interpretation, and I don't want to misunderstand you.

So....please answer this clearly:
Do you believe that Jesus was a different God from the Father, before Jesus came to earth?

A clear answer is one of the following:
1.) Jesus was the same God as the Father (one God)
2.) Jesus was a separate God from the Father (two Gods)

I agree but I don't believe he was able to walk on because Jesus controlled the water ... I believe he was able to walk on water because faith come by hearing God's word Peter acted upon it and was about to walk then saw the winds and waves then doubted/hesitated and fell in

That is likely, as Simiel admitted in the other thread that he likes a teacher who is associated with Bethel.

All the doctrines that Simiel has argued for in all the threads he has been in are NAR/hyper-charismatic doctrines.

The question is faith in who or what?

You are paraphrasing a verse that has to do with the real gospel, which is entirely about salvation.

It is also true that Peter's lack of faith played a role in why he sank. But again, the question is faith in what? Faith in Jesus' ability to save him, to keep him from sinking.

It wasn't faith in faith or however you want to phrase that.
