I'm trying to ask you clear questions -- please answer me clearly. Answering vaguely leaves too much open to interpretation, and I don't want to misunderstand you.

So....please answer this clearly:
Do you believe that Jesus was a different God from the Father, before Jesus came to earth?

A clear answer is one of the following:
1.) Jesus was the same God as the Father (one God)
2.) Jesus was a separate God from the Father (two Gods)
Number 1... I will leave it at that. Lol

@Simiel Lol, I bet you are getting as tired of answering that same question over and over as I am watching everyone ask it over and over lol.

I think we can put it to rest now people. Simiel believes in Jesus just like we do.

EDIT: as for Bill Johnson, unless I am mistaking him for Bill Cooper, you're not missing much besides just a confused scholar.

EDIT2: actually just google searched him and it turns out Bill Johnson is some other guy I never seen before. Kudos for the research tip Arwen I will look into this guy to determine him for myself.

Thanks for answering my question. So if Jesus and the Father are the same God, how could Jesus have been " a God?"

God was in heaven, the Holy Spirit was coming down to Jesus, Jesus in the water waiting on it... All 3 was seperate at that moment..

I'm not saying that you are crazy. That was the subject of your other thread, which you started, and you claimed to be crazy. Let's not get into that.

What I am questioning, though, is your theology....which is the same thing I question about Bill Johnson and the other folks who are in the NAR/hyper-charismatic movement.

Just to jump in here. I have seen people mention this so-called "Charismatic" movement on here. What exactly is it suppose to be? Never heard of it before myself.

The question here is -- separate what?

Separate Gods or separate Persons within the one God?

This is an important question.

The second important question is whether or not Jesus ever gave up His deity. Giving up His deity would make Him not God while on earth.

Sure!

If you note the uncontrolled jerking in this video (Bethel Redding)--that's kundalini.

It's important to remember that false doctrine also accompanies these Kundalini manifestations. So it is not just demonic spirits coming in through the spiritual activity taking place, but it is also based on demonic doctrine. The two always go hand in hand.

So, you see, Simiel, this is what the fruit of their doctrines...

I'm glad that you don't agree with glory clouds and such. Now all you have to do is also reject the doctrines that these churches are teaching.

Lol the subject said people say I'm crazy.....

If I walk my theology out and see healings in stores, malls, people houses. My wife who "had" scoliosis..

Is that a perfect theology? I just wonder why people don't do the same. I'm nothing special we all have the same Spirit.. All is for the glory of God

It's one thing to go out there, being willing to be used for God, making yourself available for His service, and following His lead to pray for people.

It's another to claim that people have to be healed just because you pray for them (that God has to obey you and do what you say), or to claim that we can do everything that Jesus did, or to make healing, signs, and wonders your main focus.

We can be empowered by the Holy Spirit without necessitating that Jesus was merely human while on earth.

You see, people in the NAR teach that our main goal as Christians is to do signs and wonders. That is the gospel they preach, and that is what they emphasize. They make it all about us instead of all about Jesus. They pull Jesus down to our level, and us up to His level.

In order to maintain their theology, they have to teach that Jesus was just a man who was empowered by the Holy Spirit. They say that He was just like us, and we are just like Him. They try to copy all of His miracles just to prove that they are no different from Jesus. They boast about how they can push away storms or walk on water or how many people they have healed.

If they believed that Jesus was God in the flesh while on earth, then they would have to acknoweldge that there is a difference between us and Him, and He wouldn't be our buddy to go and party with. He would be God. It also means that we wouldn't need to copy all His miracles, etc....and ultimately it would mean that Christianity was not all about us. We would no longer be the stars of the show.

The Holy Spirit can and does empower people, but it is always for His purpose and for His glory. Not for ours.
