Now I see I went off topic... Did I?
Haha, as the OP, I'll give you a pass ;)

No, I hear what you're all saying. And to be honest, in many of the sub forums it doesn't matter. It just irks me sometimes when a thread (again, particularly in Bible Discussion) is derailed because someone takes the discussion off somewhere else, usually with a massive amount of copypasta from some only tangentially related source, then the whole thread never recovers, because it's basically impossible. And then someone starts essentially the same thread elsewhere two weeks later, rinse repeat.

And I've done mod staff before, and I know it's no fun when people bag you out for trying to tidy up the place a bit. It's a shame the people who derail threads also tend to be amongst the most belligerent complainers. There's a lot of good discussion in some of the sub forums that only ever feels like its half complete because it meandered off into irrelevancy or whatever.

I have to say, Copypasta is the best ever word I've seen used for this. Ever.

This may be an obvious question, with an obvious answer that I have not been able to find, but...

Are there any moderators? Should there be?

I understand moderators can be a politically sensitive issue, particularly on a Christian forum when people are often very passionate about the issues they discuss! But I see so many threads where the discussion quickly goes off topic from the OP, or where people post large amounts of material that scroll spam a thread, when they could just as easily post a link to the page they copypasted from.

Even a moderator with a fairly laissez-faire attitude, only moving off topic posts to new threads, and not really interfering at all with post content, would be a sight better than what exists now.

Thoughts?
If it's other than interceding for others, there are many topics that are out of the topic and so much in-direct dirty talk.Better to avoid, that i learned.I am not a moderator,i know.So please don't shoot me.
