What I find funny is this. We men like to boast that we are the authority and in a perfect environment the man should be. But, it is well known that in most modern day families that the women tries to wear the so called "pants". I will attest, that a family where the women is dominant are most likely to be dysfunctional and, now a day and times, usually ends in divorce and the children suffer. Because of the wife's refusal to submit to their husband.

Anyway, most men who think that they are in charge, will bend to the wife when it comes to sleeping on the couch, if you get my drift. Because when Mamma's not happy, then nobody is happy. Young folk, chose your wife carefully. Because, behind every great leader was a great wife.

God normally calls a man to be a pastor, But has always called women for evangelistic ministry, missionary, and so on. However, if there is not a man willing to step up and lead, God will use a women.

God uses what He has tork with. The first person saved on European soil was a women and her house became a church. The book of 2nd John was written to a lady that pastored a church in her house. You cannot and shall not box God in. He is God and does whatsoever pleases Him and not me or you.

First off rather what I say or do not say doesn't change the concept of men and authority.

There is a HUGE difference between these two situations. One takes 5 minutes to do. Give the guy some food, a coat, some cash, and send him on his way. Changing laws, especially equality laws, can take a lifetime. In that lifetime spent making people equal, you are not doing anything for these people spiritually. In that aspect, there is not fruit being made. The only thing that separates the 4th seed and the 3rd in the parable of the sower is the 4th bares fruit. Clearly baring fruit is more important, so why waste our time working on equality when it is better to work on people's spiritual health, so they can enter the kingdom, where all equality problems will be fixed. I'm not saying these laws are bad! I'm not in support of women not having rights. All I was saying was that it wasn't the job of Good Christians to fix it like Misty said. They were called to be just, not fix the world's injustice.
Also with the unbelievers, that's the mercy of God. To some extent I do believe he cares less what happens to them, then what happens to a believer. All in all I think he cares little to what happens to us physically when compared to how much he cares about what happens to us spiritually. Because of this working on laws that help prevent physical pain is reallllllly a waste of time because what you should be doing instead is working on people's spiritual health.
I think equality laws are already in place.

Being just means we overlook injustice? Goodness.

It took lives and lifetimes to bring segregation and racial issues to the forefront. So we ignore all those because of the time constraint?

So you're saying governments should spend time propagating spiritual health. Of whose? How?

When a person is oppressed and in physical pain, we ignore that and talk about how God sets us free?

Should we tell a dying man on the ground about Jesus first or give him first aid?

Is there an award for mind blowing logic?

Did you not even read my post about equal pay?

I have not once said that men are over women in the workplace. You make assumptions about me which are not true.

I'm talking about back when feminism began to rise with my whole thing about "good christians" It was a comment I made to Misty which clearly you are taking out of context.

It doesn't mean to overlook it, but to understand it's not your place to fix. Understand it is not just, do not approve of it, but to fix it means to spend your life working on it. How many fruit do you bare working on laws? None.

I am not saying ignore them, just don't spend your life attempting to fix them! If I spend my life healing people (fixing physical pain) and go to Christ at judgement and he asks how many fruit I bore and I say none how do you think that will fair?

I'm not saying governments should do anything, I'm talking about Christians.

I'm not saying ignore the pain, rather don't spend your life fixing physical pain, focus on talking about God.

Give the man aid, then tell him about Christ. Do both if you can, but if you have to pick one, then pick the spiritual health.

Stop twisting my words.

Also I haven't said that women shouldn't have these rights. I am only saying it is not the good christian's job to fix the world's injustice.

Also bearing fruit is also a Good Work. I would say that is a better one too because you are then adding to the body. All I'm saying is making you life focus on making people equal is not Christ like. Christ didn't make that his focus, it was just how he acted. Christ's focus was spread his name, and his biggest command was to spread the gospel (he tells people to do it over and over and over).

Learn what I'm saying before you attack me.

Christ died to set us free from bondage, we are not longer slaves to the world but free in Him.

Should we listen to you Mr. Tucksma, (because you're da man:cool:) or should we listen to what God says?

Isaiah 1:17
Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause.

Would you rather that good Christians should leave leave that duty to satanists?

If someone isn't Christian, it doesn't mean they are a satanist. What I am saying is that equality laws are not as important as baring fruit, and if you try to change an equality law, it takes pretty much your whole life to do so. I support women rights, but I wouldn't spend years trying to make them happen if I lived back then because I could do SO much fruit baring in that time.

You worry about your laws, I'll work on baring fruit.

When I go to Christ with all my fruit, and you go to him with your equality laws what do you think he'll judge higher? That unbelieving woman who you made equal is still an unbeliever.

The unbelieving woman I talk to would still be unequal, but be saved in chrsit, lifted from bondage of sins, and be in the kingdom.

I'm not saying oppression is biblical. I'm saying that it is better to focus on BARING FRUIT. Not on equality. Show your view on equality in how you act. Treat people equal rather a law says to or not. Don't spend your life working on fixing the world, because the world won't be fixed till Christ comes back.

You seem to be highly misunderstanding me. You think I am saying to not support equality. I'm not saying that. I'm saying don't make your life about it.

Seems you can't read. I said men and women should have equal pay and you still make immature memes against me. Grow up a little and read some and we can have a mature conversation about this.

Hmmm... BEARING fruit.. hmmmm.

What will happen when God returns?

Matthew 25:31-46
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. [SUP]32 [/SUP]Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. [SUP]33 [/SUP]And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. [SUP]34 [/SUP]Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. [SUP]35[/SUP]For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, [SUP]36 [/SUP]I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ [SUP]37 [/SUP]Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? [SUP]38 [/SUP]And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? [SUP]39 [/SUP]And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ [SUP]40[/SUP]And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
[SUP]41 [/SUP]“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. [SUP]42 [/SUP]For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, [SUP]43 [/SUP]I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ [SUP]44 [/SUP]Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ [SUP]45 [/SUP]Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ [SUP]46 [/SUP]And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.

Again you seem to misunderstand me. I am not saying to not do these things, just don't make your life about it. Make your life about bearing fruit, spreading the good news, etc. If you just do works, but bare no fruit, then your works are fruitless, and you have helped save no one. Bear fruit, and do works. Do both. To make your life about changing equality laws HIGHLY impairs the time and ability you have to bear fruit because of the time it takes.

Stop twisting my words.
I just asked you questions. No twisting. Wouldn't dare to go against authority.
And I posted scripture on how Jesus is going to judge us all.

How conveniently ignored. Do you even know what BEARING fruit is?

I came here to talk about the word of God

We also want to talk only about God and His Word.

This is the the Bible Discussion Forum, by the way, not the Tucksma's Personal Opinion Forum.

Bearing fruit is bringing people to Christ. I also didn't ignore your judgement scriptures. I commented specifically on them. You are twisting my words by imputing things I never said (like anything about equal pay, or secular positions).

Also if you want to talk about God's word then stop with the memes, the sly insults, and just talk like a normal human being. You have an attitude about you that is not needed.

According to the original post, this thread is about "secular positions".

1 Timothy 2:11-15

[SUP]11 [/SUP]A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. [SUP]12 [/SUP]I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. [SUP]13 [/SUP]For Adam was formed first, then Eve. [SUP]14 [/SUP]And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.

Hey, so while this applies to the Church... could it also apply in a secular settings, like work or college? I think we can... Consider our more fundamental beliefs, like not lying or stealing. Do we apply those beliefs, in a general way, in a secular setting? We do.

Also, I think the secular have some awareness...
Romans 2:14-15

[SUP]14 [/SUP](Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. [SUP]15 [/SUP]They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.)

Anyways, any supporting or opposing scripture would be great.

Also those verses don't say that's the only thing we will be judged on. The parable of the sower shows that bearing fruit is also what will lead us to the kingdom, because the other seeds weren't in good soil. The one that was was the only to bear fruit.
