EUREKA, I HAVE FOUND IT!
AND IT'S OUR OLD FRIEND, THE FUNNEL THEORY.

DING DING DING
THE BURDEN RESTS ON THE SHOULDERS OF....

THE WOMAN.

gasp

But it's okay.
Women don't understand that men are drawn into a vacuum like state when the spell of infatuation hits.
Women are choosers.

This has taken an...interesting turn in tone to say the least.

I'm not sure "infatuation" and "arousal" are the same thing.

(At least I hope not...)

I thought I was onto something there.
I think I get it.
But I don't think I used the right materials to ensure that everyone else gets it.

In the end I've come to this conclusion.
Someone can learn to love another person regardless of whether or not they're attracted to them.
Someone is going to have to be humiliated.
Whichever one is going to be humiliated is up to God.
And now I leave it in His hands entirely.
I agree with all His working.

Do we have to resort to the 's' word?
Man is in world.
Man has eyeballs.
Woman enters field of vision.
Man perceives woman.
Man's visual senses are engaged.
Man's idea of particular type of mate are engaged.
Chemicals in the brain begin to work.
A certain streamlined process at which the man is irreversibly pulled begins.

At what point did the man engage in sexist behavior?

I don't suppose it's a woman's responsibility per se, but I still feel the weight of it. Or maybe just guilty that someone feels something for me that I don't feel for them. The first question I ask myself is, "Did I do something to encourage this?". We DO need to be careful with others' feelings. I dunno.
I see what you mean now, just the way it was worded before made it sound a little foreign to me. I'm pretty watchful about that kind of thing too. I'm extremely flirty IRL, I don't even have to be interested in taking it anywhere........I just think it's fun and it makes people smile. If I do that with the type of person who isn't used to getting a lot of attention or happens to feel really lonely.......they tend to take it more seriously than they should. I'm pretty good at telling when that's not a good idea but I do err in judgement occasionally.

Well, as long as I drink 1 or 2 bottles of cough syrup every day or so, a girl will never fall in love with me.
And I'm not giving up the cough syrup for a couple of years so I guess I'm stuck. Exercise won't help.
I could lose 200 pounds and the angels of God would still prevent me from talking to females.
Your a single dad raising a daughter and your addicted to cough syrup? That's very concerning. I think maybe you should be more worried about how this is effecting your daughter rather than about getting a girl....

This post intrigues me in light of your signature.

Allow me to give you food for thought. Drinking 2 bottles of cough syrup a day is drug abuse.

Why Do Kids Abuse Cough and Cold Remedies?

Before the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) replaced the narcotic codeine with dextromethorphan as an over-the-counter (OTC) cough suppressant in the 1970s, teens were simply guzzling down cough syrup for a quick buzz.
Over the years, teens discovered that they still could get high by taking large doses of any OTC medicine containing dextromethorphan (also called DXM).
Dextromethorphan-containing products — tablets, capsules, gel caps, lozenges, and syrups — are labeled DM, cough suppressant, or Tuss (or contain "tuss" in the title).
Medicines containing dextromethorphan are easy to find, affordable for cash-strapped teens, and perfectly legal. Getting access to the dangerous drug is often as easy as walking into the local drugstore with a few dollars or raiding the family medicine cabinet. And because it's found in over-the-counter medicines, many teens naively assume that DXM can't be dangerous.

Quoted from Cough and Cold Medicine Abuse

Is this what is in the medicine you have to show ID and sign for now?

Cyphercat maybe you should get some help with this.....

I really truly hope that you'll never do it again, but shouldn't you get some support and maybe send your daughter to a good place while you go through withdraws from this. Drinking 2 bottles of cough syrup a day to not drinking any at all is going to cause a physical reaction. Think about talking with someone and getting someone to help you.
I'm praying the Lord delivers you from this. I know addiction can be a very ugly thing.

Probably not the one your thinking of. That's PsuedoEphedrine (might have spelled it wrong but it's a cold and allergy medicine). That one you have to show ID for because a knowledgeable (Or even not so knowledgeable) chemist can use that ingredient to produce crystal meth. The DXM however, people have been abusing that for years but I'm not sure if you have to show ID specifically for that or not.

Oh OK, I know if you buy to much and go to different pharmacy's they eventually catch on. I can't imagine drinking cough syrup that much. Even a tiny bit makes me want to puke.

Yea, I had a friend that used to do that when he was a teenager. We all thought he was stupid and he eventually quit thank god. lol, it was popular with kids in my area for awhile. They call it "robo tripping" because they were using Robutussin, chugging like 2 bottles of it. I always wondered how they managed to get it down, as you say....it's narsty

It gives me the hebie jebies just thinking about it. There were these things people used to do when I was a teenager called Whip-its, it was the nitrous oxide that's used for cooking and baking. You'd inhale it for a quick high. Kind of weird to think my Redi Whip could get someone high.

Donkey nailed it. A guy who works for me was a Meth cooker/dealer in his former life and years ago he explained the process to me. Meth labs cook down decongestants to extract the Ephedrine using a bunch of highly toxic solvents. (which is why Meth labs end up being HazMat clean up issues). In it's simplest terms Chrystal Meth is highly concentrated Ephedrine with the resides of whatever solvents were used to cook it. Nowadays because of the law requiring ID to purchase OTC meds containing ephedrine meth cookers simply pay a healthy premium to people for purchasing the meds for them to keep from getting red flagged.

False.
But believe what you want.
I do want to get attention - To the fact that I just stopped using, and show that Christ can cure addiction.
I don't need sympathy - Sympathy doesn't make the pain go away.

But you know, in reflection, and in all honesty, I was trying to attract some attention to girls that I did have an attraction to, and have since murdered any affection I had developed for them.
However, the post can still be used for good.
Hmmm. Subtil would mean that I intently posted for other purposes cloaked in something that presented itself as being otherwise.
Well, in light of what just said, I see that it was subtil in that respect. So you are actually right.
However, it was not all of the intent.
So, "This is not a ruse. This was a subtil way he hoped to gain favor of girls he was attracted to, but he also hoped to help others by presenting things associated with addiction to cough syrup, and help himself by giving himself a space in public that allowed him to express himself such that he was helped by that precisely."
