I just have one question

Lets say a woman filled with the Holy Spirit preaches a sermon on salvation and 1000 men are saved and those men would never have heard about salvation except this one woman's sermon. When those men get to the pearly gates of heaven is God going to turn them away because a woman preached the sermon?

I'm done here going to the next thread.

It didn't happen in the bible, and it doesn't happen in real life.
A couple of thoughts: If a woman is preaching, there is a man/men listening that are going to have to answer to God for not doing His work.
I have heard women preach. I heard one that had a good message.
I don't see where we are told it will cost them their salvation, but they are clearly in disobedience to God's word.
According to the bible, they are in the wrong. I don't judge them, not my job, but Christ will. A harsh judgement? I certainly don't know, nor will I venture a guess.
I know that it is better to stay as far away from the edge of a cliff than it is to see how close you can get.

No, I don't believe so. The men in my group lead. That is not to say that a woman is not important. She is in her place. Older ones lead younger ones and the ones who get a message from the Lord have a man of God over them who watches for their soul

Paul stated that he didn't permit women to teach men. There's no record of a woman Pastor anywhere in the New Testament. The passage that really should speak to our churches today concerning the role of women can be found in 1 Timothy 2:11-15.It's unfortunate that women and churches operate outside the boundaries of scripture.

dear brother forhisglory.

1 corinthians 14:33-36
[SUP]33 [/SUP]For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
[SUP]34 [/SUP]Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
[SUP]35 [/SUP]And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
[SUP]36 [/SUP]What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?

if you notice verse 34.. brother paul is quoting old testament here with the new testament showing that women cannot be behind the pulpit in any way shape or form.

and if we run the reference for law... it leads us to genesis 3:16.

genesis 3:16
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

wow... gets even deeper.

1 peter 3:1-7
Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
[SUP]2 [/SUP]While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
[SUP]4 [/SUP]But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

ephesians 5:22-24
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

wow... god's own holy word says all this and yet many reject god's holy word that's right in front of them.

god bless

You forgot the all important verse before Eph. 5:22-23

"submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ." Eph. 5:21

That is called "mutual submission, and it is Biblical. The next 3 verses really have to do with our relationship to Christ, as the bride.

PS. I am a pastor/chaplain, and God has called and used me in amazing ways, praise his Holy Name!

Don't get me wrong, if God felt like having a women pastor he could. He won't though, becasue the word of God doesn't permit it. Women can be called to preach, not to lead a church. There is a difference.
But, he could. Not only 'could' He, He does do it. Women ARE pastors of churches, mamastuckboy :)

Absolutely. The Lord leads. And, He, most certainly, TODAY uses women to preach and teach to men, help them understand The Word, even help some choose to become believers :)

Let's face it, it's a fact that some men have been abused by other men, so, they will not listen to a man talk about God. But, a woman......................... Yes, they will listen to them. It will, therefore, be a woman that is speaking, teaching, preaching to this man in services.

It didn't happen in the bible, and it doesn't happen in real life.

Sure, women DO/DID do/will do, philly, DEFINITELY, they have led/will lead/are leading others to Christ, as His Holy Spirit in them ministers to them.

DISOBEDIENCE TO God's Word, philly? LOL, really, bro. Who died and made you God? Like I said in a post on the last page: IF that woman who IS a pastor, asked God to suffer her as a pastor, (LOL, don't you like that 'suffer' word :) ) either of her desire to become a pastor (her free choice) or of God's desire (His will) to make her one because she exhibits exceptional qualities not present in the normal, easily 'deceived' woman out there, then, she is NOT in disobedience to God or, obviously, to His words in Scripture.

Again, why do you INSIST on reading God's thoughts and mind regarding another person's plans He has for them. And, who is producing good fruit in a position of leadership in a church, through her faith in Him,and, helping that formerly 'dead; church become alive whereto before she came to that church it was all DEAD GROWTH?

Why, bro :(

I strongly encourage you NOT to do that :)

The Lord leads :)

Phill, don't be naive, bro, God uses women to bring other MEN to Christ in THIS DAY AND AGE despite the fact that the bible does not specifically mention verses of women as pastors or teachers of men coming to Christ :)

Just because you don't read exact words in the bible--like the above just mentioned --doesn't mean it's not being done TODAY, or, for that matter, doesn't mean it wasn't done in bible times.

OF COURSE, women lead men to Christ in churches today, either as a leader of the church or as a teacher in a classroom. It's being done, don't be ignorant. A woman has taught them things of Him after He allowed her to take a position of authority in the church :)

Again, YOU are reading too little from the bible, philly. LOL, a lot of people have the problem of reading TOO MUCH out of something, but, YOU, bro, like to read toooo little out of something, or, at least, you are reading too little out of the Word here.

13 of you say 'no,' that a woman will never be 'called' by God to pastor a church. Why are you playing God? HOw do you know God won't? Is it going to RUIN the universe if a woman becomes a pastor of a church? How about today, in the 100s of churches women pastor, what happened/is happening? Are those churches being supported by the congregation and, most importantly, is God blessing that church she is a pastor ?

But, uhh, yeah, 13 of you say 'no' to a woman will never be called by God to be a pastor or teacher? Really, why is that?
Inquiring mind wants to know :)

like i said... god's own holy word says all this and yet many reject god's holy word that's right in front of them... and would rather live in sin... believing they are living righteously.

god cannot honor those who go against god's holy word... and those who follow are partakers of that same sin as well... right along with that sinner.

God has always made a way, your belief is based on a doctrine and nowhere in the Bible does it say in black and white or red that a woman cannot be a pastor, BISHOP is not the same word for Pastor.

You are dodging the real issue, so I will ask you again. Are not men who were called by God to be the spiritual head of the house and church that lay down this responsibility also living in disobedience? and does not the Bible show that while God does not change he has at times repented of things. for your dull ears, that means to change his mind and go a different direction?

The fact is that even the Baptist denominations keep it very quiet that men have stopped being the spiritual high priest of their homes and churches for decades.

I guess you are one of the million that believes PAUL is the way, the truth and the Life, because nowhere in the Bible does GOD say or Jesus say a woman cannot preach or teach the word...pay attention Biscuit, I said preach and teach not Pastor.

Please never ,ever again suggest I agree with Gays or Lesbians in the pulpit, because I don't and stay on topic.

I am on the topic 100% and the reason I brought gays into the picture because it is man's doctrine which is now allowing them to pursue preaching from the pulpit ... and giving women the right to preach at the pulpit also. It is not God's doctrine but man's doctrine that allows this to happen.

The words of Paul are the words of God dude. The words 100% truth. To deny what is in the bible is denying God. We don't believe Paul is the way, the truth, and Life. We beleieve Paul was inspired by God to write these letters because they are in the bible which is entirely inspired. Therefore what he says is truth. I agree with you that men have been messing up, but that doesn't permit women to mess up as well. God doesn't change, people change.

No because we are judged according to our own works, not anothers. Its not their fault who they got saved by.

god's holy truth cutting the lies of satan and worldly deceitfulness.

We agree there is mutual submitting! But they are different types. Clearly men are the leaders in the bible. When we submit one to another, it is a mutual relationship, but there is still a clear difference of roles.

How do you justify it is okay for you to pastor if Paul says you should not (who is speaking God's word)? Not trying to condemn you at all simply curious on how you look at verses like that.

If you choose to make this personal with insults and purposeful disrespect, I can give you my phone number. That would allow you to say what you really want to. Send me an IM and I will oblige.
Who died and made you God?
You have the most disrespectful mouth I have heard in a while. I quote God's word, and only God's word, and you start pointing the finger at me? Clearly, as Christ said, there are many antichrists around.
I strongly encourage you NOT to do that
You strongly encourage me? Really? And who are you?
The Lord leads
Then stop hindering Him and trying to pervert His word.

dear brother tucksma.

god's holy word states we are sinning if we partake in the other persons sins.

god is holy and perfect and cannot honor anything that goes against his holy word.

god bless brother.

2 john 1:11
[SUP]11 [/SUP]For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

ephesian 5:7-11
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
[SUP]9 [/SUP](For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

romans 16:17-18
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

god bless brother.

But these men didn't sin. The woman did. Also in the example these men are being saved, so they probably didn't know, and didn't follow the word prior. I agree if we partake in sin even if we don't literally do it that we are sinning. I don't look at these men as taking part though. Literally they are, but in their hearts they aren't. In their heart's they are learning about God.

god has ordained this day would be as so... many rejecting god's holy truth... and would rather compromise with the world.

makes me sad and my heart breaks for them... i love them all dearly as my own family.

i don't judge them nor condemn them... god's holy word does that.
