So how does this affect rape or firearms in India which is the actual topic of thread?
I think the point of the original post is saying that women should have the right to defend themselves and the article was just 1 example of how women are denied that right. Rape is not limited to India! It is a global problem!

dont bother with the .32,,,get a .38 revolver!,there's no safty,it rest between the rounds/or it's 5 shot (nothing to fubble with in a panic/point and squeeze),,,,it is the perfect pistol for a man who is not yet manned up/cowboy-ed up,,,,,,,,or for the smarter ones who have and just want to cut to the chase,,,,,,

This is about rape and gun control in INDIA. Not what gun you like to use. But thanks again for reiterating the point

ONLY women should be allowed to own guns.

come now folks i do not have any desire to be the most sought after bachelor,,think about it I'm 79 what am i going to do "put the t.v. on the cartoon channel and feed them gummie bears?,,,,I'm not even in the contest I'm just trying to make you think,,,look at the o.p. and think what the women around you are seeing you argue and respond to it,,,,

For a person, who's married, it's shocking that you endorse yourself to other women, and disrespected them simultaneously including your wife.

This is a Christian forum, not a place for you to propagate adultery.

Hi Brother Doulos

Indeed, so many women could be at risk, because of men who plot their deaths and issue them death threats. They need to be able to defend themselves.

And since guns seem to be the only option you seem to point out

ONLY women should be allowed to own guns.

Wouldn't it be nice if we established laws based on what is already shown to be successful.

Abortion too was shown to be successful in reducing crime rate. Parallely , by that thinkng, even laws endorsing this should be established

A study done by the CDC found that 1 in 21 men (4.8%) reported that they had been forced to have sex by either a male or a female and the latter case often involved violence or using their position of authority over the male (1).

Men need guns to protect themselves from other men and also sometimes women within the context of rape.

A Department of Justice report found that 3 percent of men, or one in 33, had been raped (2).

Rape isn’t a women’s issue. It is a human issue Rachel. Rathus, Nevid and Fichner-Rathus were able to show in 'Human Sexuality in a World of Diversity (7th Edition)' that worldwide: 1 in 10 rape victims are men.

Can a woman rape a man

Your assertion is false.

Oh great to see you Mr. AgeofKnowledge, did you see the post where we asked you your opinion on certain statistical measures and summaries of them? Being an expert in this field, and for the benefit of the Christian community we were hoping you would be coming up with a separate analysis.

This topic is about women and rape in India. The assertions others made, were that women were much weaker than a male assailant, and hence more likely to be be unable to defend herself.

I didn't know that saying ''ONLY women should be allowed to carry guns'' was a boolean logic statement that required a true or false value.

This thread is still about women and rape, by handing over guns to every man as well, what advantage does the woman have?
You are depriving women of their right to protect themself, since a gun is the only thing that people can use to protect themselves. Right?

The rest all becomes twisted thinking right? :)

Keep in mind the CDC and DOJ reports were only for the U.S. while Rathus, Nevid, and Fichner-Rathus's research was global.

Given the lack of statistics on male rape in India, the Centre for Civil Society conducted a a survey and found that 16.1% of the respondents reported having been coerced or forced into sex as an adult by a woman and 2.1% reported having been coerced or forced into sex as an adult by a man or gang of men.

Does he ever write anything good about Jesus Christ or only about guns?

Little sister, take care. There's a lot of people who consider Christians to be "nice" and "easily led" and they go around on the internet and try to piggyback their godless social agendas onto global Christendom.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

I thought you were going to pray for us.

James 5:16 Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Why are you asking me if I'm lying [to make an untrue statement with the intention to deceive] when I'm just looking stuff up I think is useful to add to the discussion, scanning it, and paraphrasing it for easier reading Praus?

Here let me try my hand at what you do. Praus, are you a thoroughly contemptible, detestable person?

And you think I am not? Why?
Because no one has been able to convince Rachel20 or myself that we, as Christians, need firearms.

We take the Bible quite seriously you know!
