But it probably wouldn't change anything and would only show that there's a lot of pain and belligerence in the world.

All I see on these forums are people ignoring the plight of a people for fairly pathetic reasons.

Having studied this situation academically for a half year, I'm fairly sure that abuse was mutual. What I remember from my studies about the early history of the conflict is:

Both Jews and Arabs resided in the land. And the hostilities began when the Arabs realized there was a greater influx of Jews back into the land. The influx of Jews created new job opportunities for the Arabs, especially because the Arabs worked for cheap wages. So the Jews employed the Arabs and most neglected their own people - the Jews - as a labor force. That is, until the notion of redeeming the land through personal labor became more widespread. Then more Jews were hired in larger numbers and fewer Arabs. And the Arabs became disdainful.

Not only this, but there were also Arabs who owned large tracts of land. Those Arabs who owned the land allowed other Arabs to live on it until they began selling it to the Jews. And in that culture whoever resided on and worked a piece of land for so many years would gain ownership of that land if it were neglected by its previous owner. So in that culture the land could be said to be owned by the Arabs who worked the land - not the Arab land lords who originally owned it. But the Arab land lords "sold" it to the Jews. And the Jews thought it was their own. This also created a lot of conflict and eventually led to bands of Arabs attacking Jewish settlements. After this the conflict pretty much just intensified. Eventually when Zionism was in full force the Jews refused to sell the land back to the Arabs and would only sell it to other Jews. So even though the Jews were few in number compared to the Arabs even to the time when open war broke out, the Arabs were feeling increasingly threatened and chose to fight to regain the land they saw as theirs.

Anywhere from late nineteenth century (before Zionism) to before the outbreak of war after WWII. If you're looking for specific dates, then that would take a lot of digging. Most of the knowledge isn't readily found on the internet but can most likely be found in online volumes from JSTOR or other academic websites. It'd be nice if I had all of my papers with me. But it would be easier to date the more specific information I know such as when the one-armed Joseph Trumpeldor died defending a Jewish settlement from Arab attack after there was a misunderstanding and fighting broke out.

As for dating general items in my post, it's hard to say when the first hostile sentiments between Jews and Arabs first began or when the first Arab killed the first Jew or when the first Jew refused selling land to the first Arab. But the larger conflicts are more easily dated. And the trends can be roughly dated as well. And for that see my previous post. I believe it's a good starting point. Just begin your research from when the first Jews made Aliyaah, when the concept of labor setting one free and redeeming the land through labor began, look at the different pre-Zionist philosophers and the Zionist philosophers, the history of the kibbutzim, etc. All were fairly early in the history of Israel.

Israel currently possesses only a fraction of the land God has promised.

During the 19 years from Israel’s victory in 1948 to Israel’s victory in the Six-Day War, all that remained of the UN’s partitioned territory to the “Arabs” of British Mandatory Palestine were the West Bank, under illegal Jordanian sovereignty, and the Gaza Strip, under Egyptian rule. Never during these 19 years did any Arab leader anywhere in the world argue for the right of national self-determination for the Arabs of these territories. A “Palestinian” nation and “Palestinian” people had not yet been invented. The nation of Israel is God’s prophetic time-clock. Jesus stated that when we see certain things happen concerning the nation of Israel, we should know His return is near.

Who in their right minds publicly advocates assassination? In the very least assassination would be portrayed as a just war. But no one just comes out and advocates assassination. Even if this quote were real, you couldn't use one person to describe the ethics of an entire nation.
