Ah, this thread must have popped up during my hiatus.
This one played at my prom. I was not dancing with my date on this one (my date and I were not romantic, so we were all about making sure we got to dance with all of our friends), but rather, a pretty new girl at my church who I had asked, but she turned me down. But she asked ME to dance with her for this song, and I decided to embarrass her a little by actually dropping to one knee every time they sang the line.

Funny story about my prom (there are a few, actually) relating to songs of the era...the DJ played Smells Like Teen Spirit, despite it being a few years old at that point. A bunch of us guys...maybe 20 of us?...turned the center of the dancefloor into a full-on mosh pit. No outright punching or kicking, but lots of jumping, shoving, pinballing, and the like. When the song ended, we cleared the floor, and several girls screamed as if they'd seen a murder. The dance floor was completely covered with splotches of blood.
Or...at least it LOOKED that way. Upon closer inspection, our violent dancing had bashed most of our rose buttioneires, and the floor was merely littered with many red rose petals that had been freed. ^_^
