For you, Tintin,
I've made this so many times that I don't follow the recipe to the T. I do make sure everything is in the crockpot but I have varied the amounts of what I've used. As in how much or how little is used.
Original Recipe
2 cans pork n beans
2 cans butter beans
2 cans other type of beans (I use navy beans or kidney beans or pinto beans)
Drain the beans
1/4 c onion
1 c brown sugar (I don't use that much, more like 1/2 c)
3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c ketchup
2 squirts of yellow mustard (I use a wee bit more than 2 squirts)
1 pound hamburger
Prepared hamburger with onion, drain. Stir in rest of ingredients. What I do is mix the beans together and set aside. Mix the other ingredient together and set aside and then once the hamburger and onion has been prepared and drained I mix everything together.
Cook on low for several hours.
And that folks, is all for today. Do believe I am going to call it a day online. Have a great evening/day, folks.

I'm not sure where I could get navy and pinto beans, I've never heard of them. And I seriously doubt we have pork & beans in Australia and butter beans. I've never heard of any of those you mentioned (only kidney beans)! Goodnight to you.

Not sure why the 'over-spiritualize' comment. The old guy, to me, looked like he couldn't even harm a fly. And, I truly mean that, the fly would win in a fight
But, I'm sorry if I hurt IloveyouGod with what I said that was thoughht attacking her, it was not, just being green and green, that me, me, boys and girls, is QUITE opinionated on some things. Trust me you, you me, too, yeah, I WANT God's protection over you and I'd NEVER say something that was meant to get you in harm's way NEVER EVER NEVER So, if it was bad judgment to think that this old guy was harmless and should be treated like a crazed athletic sex killer though looking like a guy who couldn't win a fight with a fly, hey, sorry to that. Don't we all err in bad judgment calls sometimes . The Lord leads, we should just do our best to follow Him, He will think that's perfect. .

Abigailjeannie, thx for sharing what was in that pot, yeah, I like lamb chops, and, that bean soup is something my mom makes, except, and, this won't please littleC, but, she adds cheeses to the garbanzos, kidney, pinto beans and ham and onions and crock pots it and it really is one of my favorite dishes, besides mom's chile rellenos, and, Scallops recipe and chicken and pineapple and green peppers recipe and..... But, yeah, I have been known to eat three big bowls of ma's bean stew (soup?) in one sitting

Weeel, one other thing, PRAISE THE LORD !
I looked over at my warehouse this evening and noticed the door was wide open. I thought, great, more stuff stolen. I've been robbed a couple times in the last five years out of thousands of dollars. Sad but true,but, I know it's all God's and that whoever gets it, I pray they find Jesus. My warehouse has a big Jesus message in it on a whiteboard. 'God, please, don't bless thieves.' So, when they've stolen my stuff in the past, they've seen that sign.
Anyway, I walkd over there and opened the door and BOOM! my eyes had seen the GLORY ! There was NOT one thing stolen, I can only guess God's hand because why didn't they steal anything this time. Something scared them off, perhaps. I don't know. But,yeah, God is who I fear and I guess it rubbed off on the would-be thieves
I'm always asking for His 'blood of Christ' protection' over my things and myself, healthwise and everything else and I'm healthy and God really does protect me. Even though lot of stuff stolen in past, God's ALWAYS provided me more than I had before. The key is faith in Him, NEVER doubt. And, the couple times that thieves did get things, I don't dwell on that at all, it's not my stuff, anyway, He GAVE whatever possessions I have. Just did. You, too.
So, yeah, a praise-the-Lord report there !

I do believe sometimes angels come in the guise of humans to help out, but I just think IloveyouGod was relating her experience with what she believed was a creepy, old man and many people were just overspiritualising it, as if old people never do wrong things. That's all I was saying.
As for soups - we have many different soups. Chicken and chicken noodle soup, minestroni, tomato soup, lentil, vegetable, hearty beef/lamb and so on.

At least you have lentil, that's a bean soup. Since Australia is attached at the hip to England (the Brits own ya), I wonder, if they are much into navy bean soup. WWJD_kilden is from close to there, Scotland, I wonder, if she's heard of pork and beans and navy bean soup. This could be NOT one country but two CONTIENTS missing out on one of the finer foods in life.
And, in Japan, I think it is, they take out the poison of the Puffer Fish and it's an expensive, expensive delicacy there.
What about Australia? Is the Brown Snake, that little critter on the 10 most deadly snake lists of most experts, made into a soup or delicacy?

I'm not sure if we have navy bean soup. It's possible that it goes by another name here.

Oh ya, I can't remember who I was talking about this with. But we were talking about how smart it would be to train a Kangaroo to be a courier in Australia. It's the perfect smuggler for contraband. If anyone does happen to capture the kangaroo and find contraband in it's pouch, they're going to have a hard time convincing a jury that your a criminal mastermind that has somehow brainwashed kangaroos to do your bidding.
Not that I condone using Kangaroos for criminal activities, I just think it's a hilarious idea. lol

No, I don't eat kangaroo soup. I don't know if there's such a thing. I do sometimes have kangaroo snags (sausages) or kangaroo mince, but they have a strong flavour and therefore aren't my favourite meat. And no, I've never eaten emu. They look cool but they scare the crap out of me now and since I was a young child.

Anyway, the only beans I don't like are lima, but mom puts them in her bean soup and they are, actually, mouthwatering good in that dish

Abbie, the pinto and navy beans look familiar but they go by other names here (not sure what they'd be though!) As for the pork and beans in a can, we don't have that combination. I'm not the biggest eater of beans but I like a few meals with them. I believe they should always be accompanied with meat, vegetables and herbs and spices.
