Glad you're pickin up what I'm throwin down here Misty.
As far as being manly, I would suppose it's a tamer form of a Gladiator Sport.
I can see the skill and strategy involved required to win the game, but ...
When it comes down to it...a guy has to take a ball and run to the other end of a field.
Then...the other side has to take a ball and run back to the other end of a field.
---"Oh did you see it! he made it to the other end of the field? Did you see it?!?!"
It's cool for about 5 minutes. But to watch it for 2 hours?
But that's just my opinion, no offense to those who enjoy football, truly.
I mean heck, I can watch fishing for hours and others think that is boring.
(then again I didn't used to watch different forms of fishing for the excitement of it, more for gathering tips and methods for my own fishing explorations.)

Although Oncefallen and Monicat did have a good point in sharing quality time and fellowship with a loved one.

A man who shares my opinion of football? I heard rumors, beautiful stories that such a creature existed; but I never thought in my own lifetime that I would see the proof with my very eyes!

ha ha ha the 649 is the biggest lottery win were you win around $50 Million dollars. So if you do, you'll be dancing like those 2 men :D

Although for me if I win that amount of money, I'll be flying, jumping. I don't, I'll be doing a lot better job than that!! :D

Seriously, football seems like it would not appeal to straight males. It's a bunch of big men running around in tight, shiny pants; throwing their bodies at each other; and slapping each other on the rear. I'm not even going to mention the names of the positions that sound suspect. They are all wearing matching outfits and fighting over how someone gets to touch the ball before retiring to the communal showers. Why is it considered to be so manly?
I've always thought the same thing, but about wrestling.

Change is hard. Relocation is hard. Making decisions that will effect the rest of your children's lives is hard.

But I did it.

Am I proud of myself?
No.
I had thought maybe I would be, once things got to this point, but I'm not.

Do I still think I made the right decision?
Yes.

A nice thing about having my kids is that when I feel like this, I can't just lie down and wallow.

We have a very famous bar here called Real Sports Bar, if you wanna watch super ball there you have to book it a year before!!!!! Google the bar n' you'll know why

So my friend from here got married to an American who LOVES super ball, and LOVES to watch it there at this bar, so she has to remember booking a table every year and arrange with friends to also be there so it's more fun :D because you know, super ball is nothing here. But I think that's so sweet of her to do so :) It's cute

out of sheer geographic loyalty, i must disagree with you guys complaining about the SB. that was a great game!

i have to also point out it was a good thing that seattle won. aside from starbucks and microsoft, what else are they going to celebrate? the rain??? : )

p.s. the best thing about the SB? (since my dad lives in another state) spending the second half on the phone with my dad, watching it together. : )

jen, any parent who can claim to have children that resemble the kids you've shared about is certainly very good at more than one thing. : )

p.s. you also have a gift for finding avatars that make me smile.
Thanks Monicat, that's very kind. I have been blessed with healthy, smart, sweet (most of the time) children. Of course I'm their Mother so they shine bright to me.

I'm not upset that I've never found my nitch in the artistic talents area. I am who I am. I enjoy the arts very much, so I appreciate those that are talented.

I didn't root for any team in particular Green Nice, but I'm glad the Seahawks one for you. I'm glad it made you happy. :) In my family there are Browns fans and Steeler Fans and then there is me, who doesn't care. Since neither of them was playing yesterday I had no one to root for. But it sure didn't seem hard for the Seahawks to win.

When you speak a hard word into people's lives, you don't cause a war. You bring light to one that they've refused to acknowledge and it's one they cannot simply ignore now.

Aaammm! I don't know about that :)

A soft answer turns away wrath. But a harsh word stirs up anger.

And sweetness of the lips increases learning.

What do you think?! :)

Sugarcoating things never helped anyone. I'm not saying be harsh. I'm saying that sometimes, no matter how kind you put it, when you tell someone something they don't want to hear, it's going to cause friction within them. It makes the darkness meet the light. It's not going to be pretty, but it is going to bring healing.

I agree with you Lil, it's not always easy to say or hear the truth, but sometimes when you're on the outside looking in and someone asks, it's best to be honest.
