Anyone want to be a math partner with me?
Currently I'm focusing on fractions, decimals, and percents.
We can progress together.

I'd help you out, but math literally makes me cry. :( I am a English-minded person, so the logic of math twists my brain into painful knots. :)

I'm no math wiz or anything. Infact I HATE math. It's always been my worst subject but if you would like to pm me with details maybe we can get together and work on it?

There's an app in the iStore (may be an Android app, too) called "Mathway" and it's free. It's supposed to be very helpful.

<--- Language arts girl here as well with an intended major in Journalism/ anything that allows me to write. However I'll take a whack at this Math proposition. No promises though, you just may end up tutoring me lol :p

Now THIS could be the ultimate pick-up line (cross reference from another thread):

"Hey baby, wanna be my math partner? After all, you + me could equal (=) 1 plus (+) 1!!!"

That site's pretty cool, I checked in to it. How ever they wanted me to pay $19.99 a month or $99.00 annually to see the step by step procedures. Over all it's good for creating worksheets, and to check answers.

Ummm...you just did

Three times

using three different methods of expression :p

And with the joyous exuberance you've expressed over Turbo Tax,
there's a higher percentage of likelihood you like to math more than first anticipated.

Sorry, I'm of no help. I don't enjoy Maths either. I'm more of an Literacy/Visual Arts/Ancient History type person.

The best math app in my opinion is Wolf ram alpha.
Just place your equation in the box (e.g. [3^3]/5) And it will give you an answer such as this link.

Take note I used to use this when in High School, so I know its extremely effective on getting the correct answer but not much else...

A web site I have fallen in love with is call Khan Academy... This website EXCELS at showing you step by step problem solving...

Here is a video to show you what they are like.

(take in note he has gotten better at his presentation throughout the years, this video is from 2007)

Myst and TL, thanks for those links. They may be of use when it comes to teaching Maths (I'm a primary school teacher but it's good to find easy to understand processes to help children). Thanks!

"Hey baby, wanna be my math partner? After all, you + me could equal (=) 1 plus (+) 1!!!"
"Hey baby, are you the square root of -1? Cause you are unreal!"
