A study of the Feasts and Sabbaths is how to accurately determine what day Messiah was crucified, and as we have His own words of being as Jonah, 3 days 3 nights...even so, regardless of understanding what day He arose, it was the Catholic Church who changed the day of rest from Sabbath to Sunday. There is no disputing that fact, none whatsoever.

You wrote: "it does say the first day of the week when the women went to the tomb"

Not when Messiah resurrected, but "went to the tomb"

Why did Messiah say for the woman not to touch Him, but the man could touch Him a bit later on?

Firstfruits?

“Sunday is founded, not of scripture, but on tradition, and is distinctly a Catholic institution. As there is no scripture for the transfer of the day of rest from the last to the first day of the week, Protestants ought to keep their Sabbath on Saturday and thus leave Catholics in full possession of Sunday.” Catholic Record, September 17, 1893.

“It is always somewhat laughable, to see the Protestant churches, in pulpit and legislation, demand the observance of Sunday, of which there is nothing in their Bible.” Peter R. Kraemer, Catholic Church Extension Magazine, USA (1975), Chicago, Illinois, “Under the blessing of the Pope Pius XI”

Yeah brother I know that some include it and others don't...like I said in original post...I think this is where Sunday worship comes from...me, I worship God every day that I am above ground and sucking air! :)

Worship any and every day is the way it should be, but only one day has Yahweh said is set apart by Him, I acn not set a day apart, you can not, the pope can not, none can but Yahweh, and He did.

Genesis 2:2-3, "And on the Seventh Day Yahweh ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the Seventh Day from all His work which He had done. Then Yahweh blessed the Seventh Day and set it apart to be holy, because in it He rested from all the work which Yahweh had created and made."

Mark of Yahweh:

Exodus 13:9, "And it shall be as a *sign to you upon your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that Yahweh's Law shall be in your mouth; for with a strong hand Yahweh has brought you out of Egypt."

It is a sign between Me and the children of Israyl forever, for in six days Yahweh made the heavens and the earth, and on the Seventh Day He rested and was refreshed."

Isayah 56:1-7, "This is what Yahweh says: Keep the judgments, and do justly; for My salvation is near, soon, to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold on it; who keeps the Sabbaths without polluting; defiling, them; and keeps his hand from doing dany evil. Do not let the son of the Gentile, who has joined himself to Yahweh, speak, saying; Yahweh has utterly separated me from His people. Nor let the eunuch say; Behold, I am a dry tree. For this is what Yahweh says: To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, and choose those things which eplease Me, and hold fast to My covenant: I will give to them, in My House, even within My walls, a place and a Name equal to that of sons and of daughters; I will give them the Name of The Everlasting: YAHWEH; which will not be cut off. Also the sons of the Gentile who join themselves to Yahweh, to serve Him, and to love the Name of Yahweh, to be His servants--everyone who keeps the Sabbaths without polluting; defiling, them and who holds fast to My covenant--I will bring them to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My House of prayer..."

Mark of the beast:

Revelation 14:9-11, "And the third malak followed them, saying with a loud voice: If any man worships the beast and his likeness, and receives his mark in his forehead or upon his hand, The same will drink of the wine of the wrath of Yahweh...........And they have no rest night and day, who worship the beast and his likeness..."

This is a very important topic, as if one recieves the mark of the beast they will not enter the kingdom of Yahweh. What better resource to tell us what the mark is than the Scriptures.

The RFID chip is not the actual mark of the beast it is the way of enforcement however. The mark of the beast is the oppisite of the mark of YAHWEH. The mark of Yahweh can be found in Scripture: (On a topic this important please take the time to read this, it may be different than what you have heard however it is pure Scripture, if any wish to rufute this please use Scripture and remember this Revelation 12:9, "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole world.")

This "sign" is your actions (right hand) which represents strength, what you do with your ability/life and memorial between your eyes you faith/belief. Exodus 13:9, that explains the mark of Yahweh says: "memorial between your eyes," what do we remember with that is between our eyes? Our brain, or our thoughts and beliefs.

I get it and I agree...God alone determines the rules and sets the boundaries and I like this one....Remove not the ancient landmarks which have been set...Yeah I know! HAH

Mark 16:9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene.....
It really makes no difference to keeping the Sabbath, but they said they found Jesus was risen that day, it doesn't say He arose that day.

After that time, the Jews held the council that was head of the Christian Church in Jerusalem. After Bar Kochba headed the Jewish rebellion in 134 AD that resulted in the massacre of the Jews by the Romans, the gentiles took over leadership. Under the gentile leadership there was more and more talk of eliminating any Jewish practice from the church. They didn't study scripture enough to find out what was to be kept eternally and what Paul was speaking of as unnecessary, it was a movement to eliminate all of it. Constantine helped this movement along, finally legislating against anything of the Jews. By reading a report of the Nicene Council, you find statements about this, especially in explaining Easter to replace Passover.

I think a lot of people have a hard time, some might wonder if it's a sin to have celebrated something in the past, and some might wonder if they should continue going to services on Sundays.

People have a hard enough time with being baptized again if they were only sprinkled as babies and told they were baptized, how much more a struggle is something that comes every week?

I think people have misconceptions about the Law and the Sabbath and the Feasts, because if they didn't there wouldn't be any opposition.

For the Christian every day is the Sabbath.

Where is that in Scripture?

And when did Yahweh give the ability to people to choose what day(s) are the Sabbath.

The 7th day Sabbath is a prophetic shadow picture of the 1000yr reign, that is why Hebrews say, "the promise to enter that rest remains."

Remains as in none have entered it yet, the 1000yr reign has not started.

I as a believer for my congregation I am establishing we are to set up on the sabbath , a worship to God as a custom and sign followed the next day again in worship also raising a joyfull noise to God .that gave us life and created the heavens and the earth and rested on the sabbath

I am not saying I believe this and am only posting what I have been told by individuals that will say Sunday is the day...

1. The disciples were commanded to (set aside offerings) on the first day of the week
2. Jesus was resurrected the first day of the week

I think the above two is why most churches and so called churches meet on Sunday.

Again I stress the first line of this post!

Actually, neither of these are facts. I don't have time to address them immediately, but will get back to this in a while.

Hizikyah did an excellent job in posts 39 and 40 showing that Christ was actually raised on Sabbath afternoon at/about sunset. Now, how about question #1 above...

First, let's see what was set as example...

Act 13:13 Now when Paul and his party set sail from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia; and John, departing from them, returned to Jerusalem.
Act 13:14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and sat down.

Act 13:42 So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath.

Act 16:13 And on the Sabbath day we went out of the city to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made; and we sat down and spoke to the women who met there.

Act 18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.

This is the example set. Why were they still doing this 20 years after teh crucifixion? Because the Sabbath was not changed by Christ or the Apostles.

OK, now part 2, what about I Cor 16:2? Was this a passing of the plate on Sunday morning? Let's see what really happened...

1Co 16:1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also:
1Co 16:2 On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come.
1Co 16:3 And when I come, whomever you approve by your letters I will send to bear your gift to Jerusalem.
1Co 16:4 But if it is fitting that I go also, they will go with me.
1Co 16:5 Now I will come to you when I pass through Macedonia (for I am passing through Macedonia).

First notice in verse 1, it is a collection for the saints. Why?

Act 11:27 And in these days prophets came from Jerusalem to Antioch.
Act 11:28 Then one of them, named Agabus, stood up and showed by the Spirit that there was going to be a great famine throughout all the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius Caesar.
Act 11:29 Then the disciples, each according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brethren dwelling in Judea.

Notice this was relief aid for the starving saints in Jerusalem and Judea (ICor 16:3 and Acts 11:29).

Paul is collecting foodstuffs (dired fruit, vegetables and meats) for the saints in Judea and Jerusalem suffering from severe famine.

2Co 9:1 Now concerning the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you;
2Co 9:2 for I know your willingness, about which I boast of you to the Macedonians, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal has stirred up the majority.
2Co 9:3 Yet I have sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this respect, that, as I said, you may be ready;
2Co 9:4 lest if some Macedonians come with me and find you unprepared, we (not to mention you!) should be ashamed of this confident boasting.
2Co 9:5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren to go to you ahead of time, and prepare your generous gift beforehand, which you had previously promised, that it may be ready as a matter of generosity and not as a grudging obligation.

1Co 16:3 And when I come, whomever you approve by your letters I will send to bear your gift to Jerusalem.

Act 11:29 Then the disciples, each according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brethren dwelling in Judea.
Act 11:30 This they also did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

Now let's read a little deeper into I Cor 16...

1Co 16:2 On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come.

There is nothing here about putting an offering in a plate, it says each one to lay something aside. If this was really a passing of the plate, each one should take FROM the plate and take it home with them and store it there.

I Cor 16:2 is not about passing the plate, it is about going out on Sunday and picking fruit and vegetables and preparing them so they will keep. Hard heavy work on Sunday to have dried and preserved foods to send to the hungry saints in Judea and Jerusalem. Why on Sunday? This is hard work and is not the type of thing to be done on the Sabbath.
