A lot of post about looks, and people boasting in flesh as a sign of false humility. Even boasting in self deprecation as I am fat an ugly,

How about being a Godly Man?

How about being Respectable?

How about Being Pure and making your heart Pure in Jesus Christ?

How about walking in humility where you are humbling yourself?

How about pursing God's Heart for you so that your heart and His heart are together in oneness?

How about getting after, and taking hold of your salvation like a violent man who takes on the Gates of Heaven

How about that instead of asking, am I datable?

How about instead asking what do I want to be for a woman?

How about not conforming to a woman's expectation?

How about making a life for yourself and then have something to offer a woman to come be a part of

How about leading in such a way where we don't have to ask the question - sex before marriage?

Gird up your loin and answer like a man - bear some responsibility - quit crying and do something about it

How do you expect intellectual integrity from the offspring of a population who abuses itself, prefers to intoxicate itself with various chemicals (alcohol, nicotine, weed, drugs, etc.), and finds pride in abominable, abhorrent, reprehensible behaviors while the judicial system has gone mad imposing political correctness as the polarized, secular media cheers them, Super Bowl to Super Bowl?

...some people refuse to learn the difference between a Tylenol and an Alka-Seltzer, and Lord forbid if you tell them the truth that Pepto Bismol is pink! ...just saying. :D

I don't expect them- I want this expectation for myself, and to offer assistance to other men who seek it, so we can mutually help each other

we have seen threads like this on chat - and sometimes have to rouse ourselves up, and fire ourselves up to get after what God wants

Well, then let me cloister myself upon my own island of christian misinformation, where I can get spooled up about the troubles of the world from the safety of my own shore. Upon this shore shall be an immunity to the ills of the world and of the United States, insofar that my own ills should go unaddressed, for the sake of consistency in finger pointing. From talk radio and internet journalism, I can be led to believe in any conspiracy, so long as it is presented from a person with whom I share an ideological perspective. Therefore, I found my island, in the hopes that I can gaze upon everyone else, dodge chem-trails, evade staged terrorist attacks, avoid FEMA camps, and shield my children from the demonic influence of the Olympics.

Yes, I understand you. Have you considered that only the Holy Spirit of God raised a godly man?

There exists certain Tibetan monks who lead quiet, harmless lives, yet as much as I admire the humble heart, I wouldn't entrust my mind to any of them because according to the Bible, God frowns upon idolatry.

Hence, what makes a godly man? Good, monk behavior alone does not cut it.
So, what exactly is a "pure heart?" There's a Valentine's Day question for ya. :D

-a heart right with God
-a heart led by a renewed mind
-a heart beholden unto God's heart
-a heart that seeks the best for others, and doesn't bow it's own sinful desires
-a heart that is being transformed by the work of the Holy Spirit

not sure I follow - responding to my post or bananapie

If my Bible calls me to be something I can be with Christ - I will do my best to get after it - not saying I won't stumble or fall

I guess it's even harder to do when you have to do it alone, and other guys would call you idealistic instead of sharpening you.

We make our choices and choices have consequences, good or bad

-a heart right with God Check.

-a heart led by a renewed mind Check.

-a heart beholden unto God's heart ...I'm clueless.

-a heart that seeks the best for others, What's Plan B when "others" don't want your very best? At some point, they need to be left alone to die in their own vomit.

-a heart that is being transformed by the work of the Holy Spirit Would this be duplicate of "renewed mind," perhaps?
I agree with you in that the best life ever is to exist forgiven by God and to be found approved by the Lord Jesus Christ upon His glorious return.

I just don't see how the totality of Christians living today can eradicate evil, for that is God's awesome job, frankly. :)

I am pretty sure that guy got banned because he wasn't really looking for help

If he did need help - which at first I thought he did - did you not read my post?

fyi - broken spirits are only able to be renewed if they allow it to be

not saying we will eradicate evil, but face it, and do what God calls us in that spot in the moment to do

beholden - to look on - to look in this case heart to heart, beholding God's heart

People don't have to read my post - Am I trying to be spiteful? no Am I trying to have a hidden agenda? no - you can't please everyone, someone will always be offended by something you say. Am I trying to challenge myself - yes because I had been the depressed, stinking thinking, bipolar, wounded boy that knows nothing - and coming out of that - and wanting to pursue higher, and better and what Christ has - that's it for me.

Sure some will take offense, I am sorry - hope it's not conviction instead - I can only do so much

Roger. Copy. "Behold" understood. :)

Perhaps the reader may consider that threads either die on their own, or take a life of their own by those fueling the thread. Personally, a thread initiated by a person no longer participating in the thread is already a dead thread in my dictionary.

Furthermore, a thread with clean puns is a jolly thread and should be taken lighthearted. Calling someone out on a clean pun is best left alone. Some people have dry humor, while others prefer pie with a dry martini, shaken, not stirred. :D

Lastly, consider how many turns around the sun a peeps has and go from there. Yes, puppies are adorable, but messy. ...just saying. :D

The funny thing is for those who make fun of who is fat or ugly or whatever, they don't realize that they are NOT making fun of the person they are criticizing. They are criticizing the Creator. Making fun of God Himself.

Beauty fades away and you will get used to it. And for a beautiful woman or a handsome man, there's always those who are MORE beautiful and MORE handsome. It's an endless competition, wanna take it? knock yourself out. You won't get any where!!

Verses if they go by these criteria, they can guarantee a blessing and happiness with God till the end! :)
