i will have to leave it at this. if god condemns those who have never heard the gospel, and have never had the opportunity to follow one of the cliche paths to salvation, then either god is not good (and i certainly believe he is not only good but the source of all goodness) or "good" has a meaning that i dont understand. i have been in too many hard calvinist churches here in china and listened to that sort of thing too many times. its simple ..... god doesnt burn babies ..... thats moloch. i leave it with the answer i give to chinese when they bring that up. its not my decision, im labor, thats a management decision. my problem is loving the unloved, and serving the weak and poor.
you need to read galations. people were getting saved yet their spouses were not. Paul said that they were free from that bondage. Yet if you choose to stay in that bondage. Who knows o wife if your husband will be save or who knows o husband if your wife will be saved. But, when it comes to children he says its better if you stay that your children may be clean. With that said if ahusband and wife that do not accept God their children are accepted by God.

If course Hellfire is real. I never said it wasn't. But it is NOT eternal. That lie came from the Roman Catholic Church, who got it from the Pagan Greeks.
Hell fire is eternal. I know this doesn't sit well with you but that does not make it untrue. I'll go with scripture instead of your opinion.

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

There is a REASON why Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not burn forever and ever throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity, but have eternal life."

NO WAIT! The Bible does NOT say that after all! Jesus said "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not PERISH, but have eternal life."
'Perish' does not mean annihilate. It's figurative for 'lost'. Those who do not believe in Christ will be lost and in misery for all eternity.

That's why Jesus said fear not man who can destroy your body, but fear God who can destroy both body AND soul in Hell".
Once again, 'destroy' does not mean annihilate but rather 'lost'.

This idea that people burn forever and ever in Hell is a relatively new idea. Its a false Pagan doctrine that made its way into the Christian Church.
No it's not. It is God's standard of justice as revealed in scripture, which you apparently have a problem with. May the LORD open your eyes to see the truth.

God is not going to punish the wicked throughout Eternity for sins that they did in the span of 70 years of their life. That's the Devil trying to convince everyone that God is a CRUEL MONSTER just like he himself actually is.
Not only is God a loving God, He is also just and vengeful. Just as He is eternal, His wrath upon the wicked is eternal.

Matthew 15:4For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

Matthew 3:12
Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Malachi 4:1,3
For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do [this], saith the LORD of hosts.

What day is this? When will this occur?

Revelation 20:9
And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Isaiah 47:14
Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: [there shall] not [be] a coal to warm at, [nor] fire to sit before it.

Jeremiah 17:27
But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

2Chronicals 36:19
And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.
You take verses that are unrelated to the lake of fire and apply them to it. Not cool. Most of those verses allude to temporal punishment, for example Malachi 4:1-3, not the eternal one in the lake of fire.

I could literally go on all night about this subject. But I wont.
Yeah, please don't. You're butchering scripture and downplaying the reality of hell.

God is good! The gospel was taught to all nations at that time and left written down for "all" to know. One only need to seek, ask, and knock (search the scriptures and obey). If the gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost. 2 Corinthians 4:3.

Again, your response is dogmatic, does not contain one verse of scripture. You believe this pagan immortal soul doctrine---because you want to. You have no problem, it seems, with hundreds of millions of people being tortured and burned alive if it means you---"go-to-heaven" (a phrase not in the Bible).

Well secular history guy..it is obvious that you do not read the bible as all above points are proven by scripture in context...so whatever dude! Not to mention that 1-4 are direct statements from scripture themselves--->put your glasses on and go look up the references your self....

Hell is the seperation from God. It is a spiritual state of being. The Lord said "Father why have Thou forsaken me" He the descended into hell. He then rose again according to the scriptures. He'll is very real just separate from God you will get to know The reality of Hell

Well, according with Revelation 20:10 yes, there is hell.
The Lord Almighty - Jesus - came on Earth and according with John 3:16,17 and 1:12 you may be His child and following Him don't need to be worried about hell.

Yes, there is a hell, but scripture does not describe it as a place where hundreds of millions of people scream and writhe in pain as they are burned alive forever and ever. The "...wages of sin is death" (Rom. 6:23). "The soul that sinneth, it shall die" (Ezekiel 18:20). The dead then---are dead. They are not alive and conscious in the torture chamber of immortal soul interpretations.

Luke 16---->rich man in hell lift up his eyes being in TORMENT.....You must be a J.W. as they ignorantly claim no hell as well....

Are you saying that, because I do not accept your definition of hell, I'm going to be tortured and burned alive forever---as you are not? So I'm wrong then, we are not saved by grace, but by believing in your perverted definition of hell? Sounds to me like you may have gone to seminary or Bible college.

Luke 16---->rich man in hell lift up his eyes being in TORMENT.....You must be a J.W. as they ignorantly claim no hell as well....

dcontroversal, you would have made a good pope during medieval times, they made much money using your interpretation to sell indulgences.

It never ceases to amaze me how some are willing to use their interpretation of what is clearly a parable in an attempt to overrule a score of other texts, those which clearly speak on the state of the dead. You would have made a good pope during medieval times. They made a ton of money using your interpretation to facilitate the selling of indulgences.

Yeah, well I am not Catholic and believe the above thought to be heresy as well which is no big surprise coming from you.

And if you so choose to ignore context, three listed individuals (two being named) and all the scriptures from front to back that teaches about hell, it's reality, it's torment and it's suffering then be my guest. So which kingdom hall do you attend?

Infinite punishment that include conscious torment and suffering for a finite existence would be inconsistent with every universal principle of justice, love and compensation. After all, God is the personification of love!!!

He is also a God of judgment and destruction on a global scale when humanity refuses to acknowledge him in Spirit and in Truth (The flood)

As well as a God of hate-->Esau I hated Jacob have I loved...I hate every false way...

He is also a God of war and conquest--->David...teach my hands to war, as well as the whole book of Joshua...

You do no justice to God when you put him in (your) little box so as to prove your points which are based upon a lack of understanding...No offence meant nor am I being mouthy!
