Romans 14:6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Jesus is the Lord every day is he not or just one day a week in your life. A Thursday night sinner and a Friday night repenter one day a week. Or by Christ we are forgiven, made holy and acceptable to Father, and every day is now at rest in his finished work for us?

The sabbath is not mentioned at all in Romans 14. The first two verses show what it is about, food and fast days. The Pharisees fasted twice a week so regarded them days differently. Only one day of the 7 has been blessed by God. No other day has been blessed other than the 7th. Can you show me where the 7th day is no longer blessed? Can you show me where God has blessed any other day besides the 7th?

Show me from the day of Pentecost where the NT disciples, in the church, observed and practiced keeping the Sabbath as prescribed in the law. This is what happened at Pentecost when 3,000 souls were saved and added to the church...

Acts 2:46,47 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

The only record we have of those keeping or gathering on the Sabbath after Pentecost were the practicing Jews, that Paul and others took opportunity to go in unto those gathered in the synagogue on the Sabbath, to preach Christ and to open the scriptures unto them concerning Christ. The epistles record no instructions to observe or keep the Sabbath for those who believed upon Christ, both of the Jew and the Gentile. If NT believers observed or gathered together on the Sabbath, it was not according to any mandate of the scriptures through the law but was of their own volition and accord to do so, being a common practice of the Jews to gather together on that day.

(Acts 1:12 KJV) Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.

(Acts 13:14 KJV) But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.

(Acts 13:27 KJV) For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

(Acts 13:42 KJV) And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

(Acts 13:44 KJV) And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

(Acts 15:21 KJV) For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

(Acts 16:13 KJV) And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.

(Acts 17:2 KJV) And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

(Acts 18:4 KJV) And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

No not trying to prove the O.T. void and if you have followed any conversation that I have been in, you will find that I quote it quite often....POINT Is that there are some things in the O.T. that are NOT APPLICABLE UNTO US...so really before you assume something about me why not just politely ask instead of making mouthy comments such as.....are you trying to prove the OT void? That is a weak argument. Geez!

Then you should make your post clear rather than trying to make out OT laws are void. Can you show me where the 7th day is no longer blessed by God? Can you show me where any of the other 6 days are blessed?

however you honor the sabbath, it remains a type & symbol, and not His true rest, which is Jesus the son of God come in the flesh, crucified and raised again to the salvation and great work of God in us, now being completed and set toward the hope of His return and the completion of all things.

This is objectivity concerning those Jews that followed Christ. Why was it so difficult and such a hard saying for them to keep what Christ commands them to do by eating his flesh and drinking his blood? To do so is eternal life and they would not do it. These Jews were pricked in their ears with this new doctrine because Christ spoke as one who had authority and not as the Scribes and Pharisees. Is keeping the Sabbath a prerequisite for eternal life or have anything to do with keeping righteousness? If I do not keep the Sabbath as was prescribed under the law of Moses is that a transgression of the law and unrighteousness with God? If you believe in keeping the Sabbath as prescribed under the law, where it was given, your answer must be YES or you would be unfaithful in teaching others to keep the commandments and to not break them. JaumeJ can answer also if he would like, but he has written me and some others off already and that his own doing. Show me what the NT church is prescribed under the new covenant as to the Sabbath and as to the rest that God has given to those who have been redeemed under grace through the blood of Christ.

You do realize that the NT church's bible was the OT teachings right? Most of the NT church worshipers were witness or knew about Jesus death but did not understand the reason for it. They still kept Sabbath as many NT scriptures said they went to the synagogues on the Sabbath day as it was their custom. The new church met everyday as the disciples were teaching about the reason for Jesus death. As a result of their teaching the church was growing in leaps and bounds.

If God had changed His Sabbath day He would have told us but God did not change the Sabbath day because He already wrote down what His rules of government was when He gave us the 10 commandments. Man changed the Sabbath day and my bible tells me I must obey God rather than man. Error isn't always ugly it can come in a pretty package.

Even in 2 Corinthians 11: 12-15 it says
12 - But what I do, I will continue to do, that I may cut off the opportunity from those who desire an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the things of which they boast.
13 - For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.
14 - And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.
15 - Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

A good tree produces good fruit and a bad tree produces bad fruit. By their works ye shall know them. God's law is the law of love. Jesus is our salvation and the only way to the Father - Jesus fulfilled God's law of love He did not destroy it. God's rules are still the same. But Jesus did for us what we could not do for ourselves. When we get to heaven the house rules will still stand but because we love God no one will ever break them again. I wish we could all just understand this.

let's read the next few verses:

but down here in verse 10 is the point i wanted to make:

But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

who am i to judge another man's servant?

as for me, i am fully persuaded that every day belongs to the Lord. the Father on the 7th day rested because creation was finished.

Jesus said at the cross:
"it is finished"

you don't like that? be persuaded in your own mind and work out your own devotion. but don't condemn your family that also loves the Lord.

The law wasn't finished the law was fulfilled. Our inability to be reconciled with God was finished, our bondage to sin was finished and Satan was finished and defeated his fate was sealed. Jesus became our route to God the Father. God's love and Jesus sacrifice saved us. Hallelujah!

We don't have a scripture that says Friday sundown to Saturday sundown is the seventh-day sabbath.
That's likely due to the fact the days weren't called Friday and Saturday then.

How the Hebrews used to count the week is:
6 days to sabbath(Sunday), 5 days to Sabbath(Monday), 4 Days to Sabbath ( Tuesday)..... and so on.

I can’t find the the scientific document I once had that proved there’s been no recorded change in the seven day weekly cycle since recorded time.

However one huge sign is that in most languages in the world the seventh-day which we here in America call Saturday is called sabbath. Here are a few examples:

Hebrew: Shabbath / Greek: Sabbaton / Latin: Sabbatum / Arabic: Assabit / Persian: Shambin / Russian: Subbota / Hindustani: Shamba / French: Samedi / Italian: Sabbato / Spanish: Sabado.

Also Jews have been spread out all over the four corners and they still recognize what we call Saturday as the Sabbath.

To properly observe the sabbeth also means to do nothing that would cause others to work.
I asked this before and no one answered so I will ask again.
Do you watch tv, use your electric lights, use your city water or sewer, use your heat or air, use your pc, use your phone?
If you do, you are forcing others to work.
Would this not be hypocritical?

Don't have cable so no don't watch TV, yes use the lights, water, air, pc, phone. Unless an absolute emergency I would not have any of those services fixed on a Sabbath it would not make sense to have these companies come out every Friday to turn all of this off and then turn it on again on Sunday. Sabbath was made for man not man for the Sabbath - I don't go out to eat or do any marketing, purchasing on a Sabbath as I do feel it would be making someone work. Your list is a list a Pharisee or a Sadducee would come up with. I would imagine that a lot of the utility companies have their systems automated (a machine running a machine) as I can't believe when I turn on the water a man is pumping on the other end to give it to me probably a machine is pushing it through.

We do not have to fulfill nor are we obligated to fulfill the law where Jesus has already fulfilled it. That does not mean that we live in sin or that we transgress the law. What is does mean is that we abide in Christ because we have the Spirit within and the grace we need to love God, ourselves and our neighbor or fellow man. RedTent I asked you some specific questions about keeping the Sabbath and you will not or refuse to answer them because of what it might reveal about what you believe and how you treat the grace of God. IS IT A TRANSGRESSION AND AN UNRIGHTEOUS ACT IF I DO NOT KEEP THE SABBATH AS THE LAW PRESCRIBES? You and others flee these kind of questions because you are afraid to answer them objectively or you do not understand what Christ did when he fulfilled the law and put us under grace. If I asked you if committing adultery or stealing was a transgression of the law you would not hesitate to tell me that it is and that I would need to confess my sin and repent. It is the same for not keeping the Sabbath?

Sin is transgression of the law and the Sabbath is a part of God's law. Whether you obey or not is your choice and I truly do say that in love. That being said the following is my 2 cents worth.

I believe there are many wonderful, loving Christians out there that have worshiped on Sunday and it is all they have known. They follow God as He leads them and I do believe there will be many different denominations in heaven not only those that have kept the Sabbath. I also believe that God will hold us accountable for the truth we know to be truth and I do believe that God's 7th day Sabbath is truth as He wrote it as one of the commandments with His finger in stone. I have read that man made the claim to have changed the Sabbath day and God's word says that man would think to change times and laws. My bible tells me that I must obey God rather than man. So since I believe that the 7th day is the Sabbath of the Lord my God for me it would be a sin to worship only on Sunday. I can't and don't speak for anyone else I can only speak for myself.

However if there ever came a time when it would be legislated to worship on a day other than the 7th day Sabbath or die to me then the Sabbath day would become a testing truth and again I must obey God rather than man. Just as the Hebrew boys would not bow down to the image and Daniel would not stop praying to God - I like them would then have to face death rather than go against God's law. God loved me enough to send His Son to die for me - It is my love for God and my duty to Him to stand for His Sabbath truth.

You are right we need God every day of the week, but God asked us not to work and to rest with Him on the 7th day of the week. A Christian isn't one who dresses up and goes to church one day a week a Christian is to be like Christ and commune with Him every day of the week it is a life style to abide in Jesus. We are to love God and our fellow man every day of the week.

When God was creating the earth He said and the evening and the morning were the first day, and so on. So we observe Sabbath from Friday evening sundown to Saturday sundown as God's day and man's day the timing keeping is different.

A forgiven Christian is Spirit filled and would have God's law written on their hearts and no longer under condemnation but for an unrepentant sinner they would still be under the law and by their choice of not accepting Jesus sacrifice they would be condemned.

When I obeyed the Gospel. I was living across from a 7 Day church. I was cutting the grass on a saturday, they were worshiping. It drove me crazy. One day I was outside and this guy was cutting his grass on a sunday. I went over introduced myself to him. We started talking and before long we were into a bible study. He was one of the elders. He sent this young couple to my house and we looked at the scriptures. I had an ace in the hole. I was a new convert and was studying with an Elder in the Lords church. We didn't have cell then. So my phone bill was pretty high. I DON'T REMEMBER HOW IT ENDED. The were a nice couple. Our Dr. in town was a 7 day. A very good man. Also at the Hosptial was a Physical Theripest was a 7 day. I believe they have a college in NE for doctors. Tkyles1009 can tell us.

I just want to say that all 7Day I have know are REALLY moral, good people. I don not agree with there religion. When my mother was in the hosptial she was a Baptist, I was trying to convert her and this PT would come in when he would see me and we would talk just like we are doing here. I got the impression that he felt my mother was alright in her religion. So I confronted him on it. How a baptist could believe one thing and Luther another. I don't remember him satisfiing me. He moved and that ended that.

They believe what they believe. Its up to us to refute what they believe. No different them converting you or me. We all believe we are right. Catholich.......Baptist........JW's......7Day............you name it.
