You know when you come onto the forums page and you can see the newer posts on the side? I often wonder when I write something like the above post if people think I'm insane? Sometimes I wonder if that's why people I don't know friend request me. Oh she's cray cray, I'll friend her.
Yeah, I don't really accept the requests of people I haven't at least had a proxy familiarity with.

Not that friend requests mean anything on this site.

Crazy people are more fun to be around.

Seriously, who wants to be normal?

I kinda chuckle when conversations turn to talking about the friends list here. Some people seem to think if they have a huge list of friends that they've won a popularity contest or something.

I recently looked at my friends list and realized that a large percentage of them don't frequent CC anymore (some of them not in years), and two of them had been banned a while back. Maybe I'm an oddball in that I've never sent a friend request here and I don't accept requests from people I don't have a good familiarity with.

Maybe I'm just turning into a grouchy old geezer......

You do realize there is an inverse relationship between friendliness and how much attention people pay to you.

As in, you're going to get a lot of it now lol.

I wasn't sure I wanted kids for a long time. Then when I got to an age when it wasn't as easy that's when I thought, gee I'd like to have kids. It wasn't easy for me, it might be for others. I was 35 when I had my son and 36 when I had my daughter and some women have babies when they're in their forties.
you might be surprised how many openly tell me how i'm going to be horribly disappointed if i don't have kids. it's the most awkward conversation ever. i never know what they want me to say.

ok, thanks!

actually the funny thing is, the only parenting experience i've ever really imagined for myself is adoption.

even when i was much younger, i've never longed to reproduce my genetic material.

Your life, your decision. None of their business, do what makes you happy. I've always wanted to adopt as well.

I go through every once in a while and unfriend anyone who hasn't logged in for a while, or who I don't actually interact with. Although yeah, the friends list doesn't seem to serve much purpose other than that you can see from your profile page what your friends have been talking about, new photos and such.

I know it was so wrong to laugh out loud at the vasectomy thing. Yet I did.

I'm somewhat torn between three - an rx8, a mini cooper roadster or a range rover. I find it cute that you call your car a 'she' haha my uncle does the same.

All cars are female. ALL CARS.

And I'd suggest option 4 if you're going for the rover. Go for a sport Ute that's a bit less massive (and fuel unfriendly) unless you really need the drive train the rover has. Anything all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive will go most of the places the rover will, unless you're going to put a snorkel on it or something (which I've seen done). They even sell smaller rovers if you want the brand. A plain Jane land rover is a better vehicle unless you're hauling something truly massive.
