The duchess part of my name comes from my friend Sarah. I told her I had done the whole family tree research thing on Ancestry.com, and I found out that my family is royal all the way back to the 5th century. So she said she was going to call me duchess from then on.

A couple weeks later I registered for CC and decided to go with duchess. Aimee is a nickname everyone calls me, so I put Duchess and Aimee together.

Banana and Age--I miss the good old paper card catalogs at the library. As a kid, I used to open a drawer and flip through at random to read about the books. *sigh* Libraries and bookstores are still some of my favorite places. :)

The most frequent question I get about my username is, "Did you know you spelled 'soul' wrong?" :)

Actually, I'm adopted and was found in Seoul (S. Korea) as an infant. "Seoulsearch" represents my lifelong quest to find out who I am while encouraging others to discover who they really are as well.

Helping others find expression, meaning, and purpose is just what I feel called to do. It's "The Searching of the Soul", if you will... and for me, that happened to originate in Seoul. :)

i find that truth mildly depressing. but it is a fun play on the "soul" concept.

i too love libraries. when i was a kid, i had a lot of extra (waiting) time, and i would sit and pour over the reference materials. especially the dictionaries and maps.

i still love maps and dictionaries...

The Creation Tutor - is a ministry a pastor encouraged me to make, or delve in. I was working for an insurance company and wasn't too thrilled - I went to school for Geology and Earth Science Education. God had done a work in me through faith in a certain aspect of my life and I decided to try to create a ministry for Creation. The logo was already in my head, I had found some clip art and paid a graphic artist to make the logo

The logo came out so sweet! I actually got a wrap for my car - I have a 2007 Rav4 with a round spare tire cover :D

One night during the summer of 1989 I found myself aboard a flight from Philadelphia to Los Angeles in the window seat of a Pan Am 747 staring at the tiny lights of the darkening landscape below as we transitioned over the San Gabriel Mt.s on final approach to LAX. We were experiencing some unstable air which is common over mountainous terrain and so our little 747 was being rocked up and down like the SS Minnow...

...but that has absolutely nothing to do with my username. :p

:D I wasn't going to mention it, but the truth is that there were two actors on the plane. I didn't see them until we all took the shuttle bus from the plane to the terminal. One was the guy who played Oscar Goldman in the old tv show The Six Million Dollar Man, and the other was a character actor who was on a tv series called Hunter. :)

Not exactly what I had in mind, but still pretty cool!

It's my first name combined with part of my last name. A lot of people think it's "Rachel's edge" but it's not. It definitely sounds cooler that way, though. :)
I must have dyslexia. This entire time I've been reading it as 'Rachel Sledge' but rather than thinking of the thing you ride on, I've associated it with a sledge hammer. I thought you were a descendent of some warrior Viking.

I was out for a walk one late afternoon, equipped with my MP3 player and some songs that reminded me of home. The sun was setting, displaying a unique array of oranges, pinks and purple. A song began to play and I was reminded of a time when the world seemed so much simpler. I was reminiscing about the times when I saw the world through the eyes of a child. When my back yard was kilometres wide and the world was too big to understand and there was so much mystery about life that I was yet to stumble in to. I was walking along the water front, and I remembered what it was to be a little girl, trying to swim out as far out as I could. My older brother was always with me, and I would try to out do him, despite being almost four years under him. Every time I am near that place, I remember the thrills such still waters brought to my childhood. I'm sure you're wondering by now what this story has to do with my user name... it actually has nothing to do with it. I was just trying to make it seem like my user name (My first name and year of birth) had some deep and meaningful story behind it. Pfftt, as if.

I actually want to change my username, but am unsure of how to do so.

It's because during a bible study I had the other day, I realized that I am not a Christian. The word "Christian" is only used in the bible three times, and was originally considered an insult to those who followed Jesus. Christian is equivalent to a disciple (check out Acts 11:26). A disciple follows Jesus completely and leaves everything behind to follow Him. Disciples go, encourage baptisms and teach His word (it's from Mathew 28:16-20). So defining myself as a Christian is defining myself as a disciple, even though I don't do those things with the best of my ability. I don't think I've ever taught anyone Christ's love, so therefore, I can't be defined as a Christians. I rather am strengthening my relationship with God so I can learn to become a disciple and have that discipline of teaching others His love for us.

I think I got the idea of my username by (at the time) considering myself a Christian and living up to God's love with the best of my abilities, and having the time of my life learning His love and being that good light to others.

The question to ask is: are you born again in the way the Lord Jesus says in John 3? Have you experienced the joy of knowing that it's by grace that we are saved, through faith in the Lord Jesus, Who died at the Cross for sinners? (Ephesians 2.8-9)

A servant that is following many miles behind a master, is still a servant, as someone following closely is.

In Luke, the Lord Jesus exhorts His followers to take up their crosses daily and follow Him. This duty and privilege never ceases in the believer's life.

God bless His Word to you.

Who is this determined lady? :)
That's Ginger from the old tv show Gilligan's Island. She's sort of the reason they started calling redheads 'gingers' (also because of a south park episode).
