Hello there from east Europe,
lat me just say samothing about situation and little bit of historic facts and background ...
Crimea was always kinda mostly russian country.
Formelly, this was changed in 1954, when nikita khrushchev (former president of zssr …or for recent birth people russia) unaccountably gave the Crimea to Ukraine. Maybe cause he (khruschev) had Ukrainian origin and was always close to Ukraine. Also he had a wife Ukrainian and when he was young he worked there in the mines and also led local communists. Well, when later after the collapse of the USSR in 1991 Jeľcin (Yeltsin) became president, everybody expected him to take back Crimea into Russia, but surprisingly it did not happen.
But, there was at that time a referendum whether Crimeans want to be part of Ukraine or not. There was a really interesting voting (approx half against and half for it).
You know what? Ukraine have two languages, russian and ucrainian. And guess what language people speak in Crimea, yep russian …because there are more than 60% russian nationality people there and the rest are tatars and ucrainians cca about 20-24% only.
Putin not gonna connect crimea to russia, I think (but Im little bit optimistic here)Still, I think that it will be enough for Russia, if Crimea become independent republic.
Why?
Because they (Krym) will sure to become part of Eurasian Union. As it goes for rest of ucraine, they are seeking EU membership and for Russia is EU kinda enemy, I mean not enemy but definitely not allies what they would like. Therefore Russia wants to as many countries as can be in Eurasian Union, which they are part of, so that this union can be as strongest as possible. Now, don’t confuse European Union with Eurasian Union.
There is big big difference between the two of them (eu and eau) not just in political meaning, but also in routing, in spirit, in the foundation…its too complicated for me right know to describe this all. But what is important, is that Euroasian unia is just …ok.. how can I put it…they are on basis of Stalin, anti-Christian ..anti-Jewish, weird just not really europian at all…aahm.. in brief -just bad.. bad bad bad. Bad news for rest of normal classic good old europa, if you know what I mean…
I don’t know, whith what made you feed the media in the U.S., but here in europe we all know this old history of crimea. We also know, that Crimea asked the Russians for help, or intervention. In Crimea people take photos with russian soldiers. So that’s about that.
The rest of Ucraina, its already quite a different story…
I'm writing this because it is quite likely that there will be no war so you can stop wondering what should usa do. Also Putin is not that stupid (as he sometimes seems to be..).
And we know that (europa). And therefore we did not initiate any kind of action nor give any serious sanction (yet)
And therefore Obama shoud wait with any kind of radical or political action or declaration as he used to do (honestly I find his speeches really ridiculous and kinda hmmmmmmm naive? Don’t wanna say stupid…)
What we can do is .. we can pray.. we should pray.
Of course, I was always a bit of an optimist in these matters, but I really do not think that there are going to be 3WW
sorry for english (not even my third language, so I know that it is poor..)
Be blessed
