I tend to speak of the Lord's Day rather than the Sabbath. The Resurrection corresponds with the Feast of Firstfruits. 'Christ our passover is sacrificed for us, and is become the firstfruits of them that slept'. I don't want to go back to the types and shadows, when there fulfilment has been revealed in the Person and Work of Christ.
I have heard this so often from those who decide against any of the shadows, but I can't understand how they can say the shadow of something, the outline of it, has no relation to what it is the shadow of. Every shadow I have seen is directly related to what it shadows, and the shadows of the OT have taught me a lot about the real thing. I think the bible is right in your own house and you are snubbing it.

Why fuss over Saturday or Sunday worship.........Sabbath? Why not be happy that folks are setting aside a day to worship, honor and praise God and be happy for them?

Shoot, what about us who gather on Wednesday nights? Or other evenings, nights to worship, honor and praise God?

I thank God that His children love Him enough to worship, honor and praise Him.

I'm all for worshiping Him EVERY day of the week. But God set apart the Sabbath as special, and so do many of us. We're not better than those celebrating on Sunday. It's just that Sabbath is unique to God, so many of recognize it.

But please, worship on the Sabbath, and know that many of us are rejoicing and worshipping with you!

Blessings and Peace,
Matt

It is just a test to see if you are a disciple.
No big deal if you are or aren't a disciple.
Heaven or death eteranlly, no big deal
oesn't matter where you go

No dispobedient person with a disobedient heart who thinks the commandments are no big deal will be there.
But so what?
No big deal where you go!

With the atitude no big deal what day I worship on
Bible says you will not be there...

Isa 8:16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

Those who think the law is done away with have been deceived b false religions and Bible says they will not be there. that is a wide road and a great multitude going that way.

Its pointless to even try to help someone who is both self righteous and judgemental see the truth.
Enjoy your old covenant Jewish sabbath. Just remember you had better keep every law perfectly or you are toast.

Galatians 5:4
Romans 14:5

Sorry, none righteous here, not one.
No judgement here. You should do whatever God lays on your heart. Obedience to His Spirit is all anyone can look to.
Very few here are looking for salvation in an Old Covenant, although it is still applicable to Christians today in other ways.
And you only need to keep it perfectly if you're looking to it for Salvation; that's what Paul was talking about. If you're putting your hope in that covenant for salvation, then you need to keep it perfectly. If you're not, perfection isn't an issue.
And the Sabbath is just as applicable today as it ever was. If you had sat down at our Sabbath meal tonight, you would have seen some powerful stuff pointing straight at Jesus.

Regardless, have a blessed day, and a great Sunday as well.
Blessings,
Matt

I have no problem with your view of the sabbath. Thats why I did not reference your post.
However there is a real problem with telling believers they are not disciples and they are headed for hell for not keeping the Jewish tradition.

As far as scripture, Jesus honored the Sabbath just as He did everyday. He still did what He did on the Sabbath as He would have done every other day. That tells you something...

I have already learned from past experiences. People like you who condemn others will not listen to sound doctrine.

Open your mind and stop with the condemnation.

Dude I don't keep the Sabbath, you just judged me bro. I go to church on Sunday.

On the Judgment day, just remember,
I tried to warn you
I am not at all self righteos
since I know only Jesus is righteous and right doing.
and all the disobedient are not
Anyone
Accusing others is something the enemy does
warning someone is something that Jesus does.

And yes, it is pointless to warn someone who mistakes your motives of love for hate.
But
I told you so
keep whatever day you want
Jesus will be asking you why you did that.

Self righteousness is righteousness you invented
God's righteousness is what He invented

sunday is self righteous
Sabbath is God's righteousness by faith in his word.

Be assured, your religion killed you since you reject the word of God.

Self righteousness is righteousness men invent

Sunday worship is man invented and an affront to the word of God
Monday worship is man invented and an affront to the word of God
Friday worship is man invented and an affront to the word of God

Jesus says obedience does matter

Those who teach otherwise are in poor shape

Repent and you will be fine
Jesus promises that,

God's righteousness is what he invented
what he created
and if you dare to do what YOU want any way YOU want you should read the story of CAIN to see what happens to those people

Not what YOU want, but what God wants

false religions teach MANS sefl righteousness
the ones SELF righteous are keeping sunday since there is no Bible verse tells you so you invented it
hence self righteous

Ever Book in Bible front to back teaches Sabbath is the day God promised to bless you

that means something to me

you can make up stuff all you want
accuse me all you want
you will NOT get the Sabbath blessing keeping sunday
thats a fact
and its your choice.

False religions reject the word of God and invent their own religion
Sunday is the image of the beast
if you keep it you will get the plagues.
Cause and effect and PLENTY of warning
Revelation says so

Sabbath is not self righteousness
it is Bible righteousness
Jesus righteousness
Sunday is self righteousness
because you yourself invented it without one shred of proof from God

Gen 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
Gen 4:2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
Gen 4:3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.
Gen 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
Gen 4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
Gen 4:6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
Gen 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door.
And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
Gen 4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field,
that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
Gen 4:9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
Gen 4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
Gen 4:11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
Gen 4:12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.
Gen 4:13 And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.
Gen 4:14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.
Gen 4:15 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.
Gen 4:16 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

Abel told cain,
Why are you upset? Just do what God says and stop your self righteousness!
and Cain killed him

lots of Cains around.

Yes the Sabbath was nailed to the cross. Those who have an ear to hear let them hear.

Thanks Kerry and when that happened and God opened my eyes and ears I now am in the Sabbath rest 24/7, him never leaving me nor forsaking me, and in response I have become a good news boy. And all that worship God in Spirit and truth have this access now, and give God thanks
Thanks Jesus for being my Sabbath rest in you for the deliverance of you Father to lead

Excuse me, just one minute please consider this, by what you kind of are saying here then none of us are going to heaven:
2 Corinthians 10:6 and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

I am not punishing anyone as to how they worship, I just trust God the creator known as Father thanks to Son, for the Mercy provided and put no confidence in flesh as Paul said in Phil 3

Are you putting confidence in the flesh with having to worship on a certain day? When it is to be a day of rest, not really worship, rest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as I see it at least, anywasy
Love and just expressing what I see
There is no:
Romans 8:1
There is therefore now nocondemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

And this the above is every day for me to be dead to flesh and alive to God in Spirit and truth

Isa 8:16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

Those who think the law is done away with have been deceived b false religions and Bible says they will not be there. that is a wide road and a great multitude going that way.

Is not Christ:
Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Hebrews 7:16 who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

Love you Brother as God does and gave us the law of liberty:
James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Freedom in Father through Son to love all as God does, everyday

[h=3]Romans 14:13-19[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]13 [/SUP]Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way. [SUP]14 [/SUP]I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean. [SUP]15 [/SUP]But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died. [SUP]16 [/SUP]Let not then your good be evil spoken of: [SUP]17 [/SUP]for the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. [SUP]18 [/SUP]For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

In an attempt to "derail" the derailment of this thread.........

Last night before sundown, we got our house nice and clean. My wife made an awesome meal for us. We got to eat by candlelight. We shared some bread and wine (juice for the kids), and had some special desert. After dinner I read from John and the kids got to ask and answer some questions. Then we blessed our kids, prayed for them, sang a blessing over them and tucked them in. And here in a couple of hours, we'll head to church for the day and get home around sundown,

Most people probably don't care about the particulars of my Sabbath, but I suppose it's an attempt to get the focus of this thread back on blessing and encouraging one another, instead of turning into yet another argument and debate. And that includes some "Sabbath Keepers" who like to make it a point debate.

Regardless, this what Sabbath looks like for me today.

Blessings to you all!
Matt
