Is it normal to question your religion when your saved? Last night I was reading and someone was talking about the "enemy " I couldn't help but kinda laugh..I do Beleive in satin and demonic beings but for some reason I'm starting to think the idea is completely ludacris.. And it's worse today.. I don't know what's goin on with me...and I'm having mean and negative revengeful thoughts about my husband ... It's weird..

Questioning your religion, normal and encouraged IMO. Be careful of course.

I don't think it is a coincidence you see a change in your behavior after doubting the enemy is real...They like to remain hidden and being the cowards they are, they would rather you weren't aware of their schemes. Remember the lie that started it all: "Has God REALLY said that?? Nahhhhh cant be"

(1Pe 5:8) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
(1Pe 5:9) Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

You don't OWN "your" religion, you PRACTISE it...
if you don't practise what you preach
"your" religion doesn't mean a thing.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this:
to look after orphans and widows in their distress
and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

[James 1:27]

instead of searching for a "quick fix," keep reading............goodness, you obviously have a computer, try googling "crisis in faith" or similar concepts...............

You might also want to realize that Christianity and religion have little, if anything, in common...........

Read the Gospel of John............it should only take about thirty minutes..........see if you find the answer there........then come back and let me know.......

Pray. Ask God to show the truth about your faith and to help you with your thoughts toward your husband. If I have any bad thoughts about my husband, I talk to him about what they are and we discuss it and figure out what is going on to make me have these kinds of thoughts. I also ask him for forgiveness for any negative thoughts I might have.

God Bless.

Normal does not mean "right" or "righteous."
Normal is average, regular. In a Fallen world, "normal" includes Sin.
This does not mean that the thoughts you mention are wicked, but they are affected by sinfulness.

Still, to mock what the Bible says is unwise at best. Therefore, you need to pray and seek God's counsel, get into the Word that is questioned, and go to different Christians and ask them about their struggle (like you are). But as you go to others, put God first and humble yourself, so that you do not just hear what you want to hear (whether for affirmation or debate).

Here is another idea, get around a spirit-filled person who loves teaching kids and who is clearly loved by the kids.
You will unmistakably be humbled by the lessons taught. It does not mean that it is perfect theology or a perfect lesson plan.
But at least you will be around those with child-like faith, children who love Jesus, or those who are curious to learn more.

Today, I heard a kid ask, "Then, can God see Himself?" The fourth grade child asked in reply to the teacher's comment, "God sees everything." This is precious to witness kids ask. It is innocent inquisitiveness, not sinful skepticism.

Okay, as for me. All of my life, there have been moments of questioning varying aspects of life and God and the Devil.
Even after reading certain verses hundreds of times, I still can ask Does it really mean ...? Now, my testifying to questioning Scriptural meaning does not mean that someone, then, should. It simply means, A) I am normal, in that I do not have all the answers B) I am normal, in that I question the answers I read in the Bible and C) I am normal, in that I am not omniscient, omnipresent, or omnipotent; thus, I am excused for not being perfect in every thought.

If one's motive is to disprove God or something in the Bible, he or she needs a change in motive and reality check from God.
No one needs to disprove, approve, prove, reprove, or improve the message of the Bible.
Sure, a Bible can be edited and updated; but God's messages, lessons, and love (seen best in the person of Jesus)-- those do not need to be questioned-- they need only to be accepted by faith and obeyed.

Some wise folks have pointed to Philippians 4:8 to combat "Stinkin' thinkin.'"
Even an honest motive can turn sour, if one does not stay disciplined in thought.

oops, A's not having all the answers and C's not being omniscient (all-knowing) make A or C redundant.

BibleGateway.com plays audio versions of the Bible for free. It will help you stay focused better.
Another option is a Text-to-Speech reader, which can speed up your reading.

Nice :) but that still doesn't answer my question ... Why would this be happening to me?
The moment I walked onto my college campus, I immediately would have very strong thoughts of lust and doubt. They would come on so suddenly that it would make my head spin. I learned to continually pray against these specific spirits when I went to class and then they would leave me.

I never had those kind of thoughts with such intensity as I did when I was there. I am so glad I did not live on campus as there are literally a host of demons there that fill kids with lust and Athiesm. I could literally feel it.

One of the greatest things that satan wants is for us to think he doesn't exist or that he isn't actively involved in seeking our downfall.

praise be to God though that Jesus triumphed over all the spirits of hell. In His name, we have authority to rebuke them.

The "enemy" is VERY real. Be ever diligent in asking God to protect you and that of your husband. Even pray with your husband that you and your whole household may be safe and secure.

I can't tell you the peace that I have over my home, because I continually ask God to keep it safe. Pray for this same peace and safety!

"The greatest trick the devil ever pulled, was convincing the world he doesn't exist"

Questions are good, they proove you are not a programmed robot.
Just remember to look up good sources for your answers.

- Pray
- Read the bible. If it is conusing: Re- read (and use a bible with references or commentaries)
- Ask others (like you did here :) )

I do think you are experiencing a spiritual attack. Praying and reading the bible makes you more aware of his tactics so you can notice and be prepared :)

Well.. What's confusing is that two nights ago, I was praying through out the house and over my husbands stuff and where he sleeps...covering it with the blood of jesus ...and then this happens.. I was thinking way out of character. I felt depressed, thoughts of wanting to die..I was angry..I forgave my husband of an incident that happened months ago and all of a sudden that resurfaced...this is the second time this happened except last time it was my husband that changed..my mom came and prayed in the spirit and annoyed the house with oil ...after that my husband took a turn for the worst. He changed...

It sounds like the devil really doesn't want you to get at something. Sometimes, if there is a big issue, satan will try to heavily counter attack so he can get you stop praying altogether. Sometimes the devil leaves easily, but other times, if he has a particular strong hold on something, then he will thrash about when we pray. While this is difficult, it is good that this happens, because we know that our prayers are being effective and actually getting at him.

This scripture comes to mind. I would suggest that you, your mother, and your husband pray.

Matthew 18:19-20 “Again I sayto you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

also there may be something deeper to all this. It says in James 1:5 "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Don't doubt, but trust that The Lord will give you an answer.
God keep you and your family safe from every attack of the enemy!
