I am trying to overcome same sex attraction and can't seem to find much out there about it. Has anyone else had this struggle? and how are you coping?

Good morning Capemaykid,
God loves you dearly, He knows what you are going through, He'll never leave you, forget about you, be to busy for you, nothing can separate you from His love, He is faithful to you.
When thoughts and desires that are not pleasing to God enter one rejects them, that's what temptation is. The problem is when we dwell on those thoughts, turn them over in our head, examine them closely, then we start condemning ourselves. (see how that went on and on and on) So reject those thoughts!! (My voice is gentle, I'm your gramma's age)
The most powerful thing in the world is the Word of God. know what I do? I say outloud "Those are not my thoughts, I reject them in the name of Jesus." and I have memorized some scriptures I speak them out. The mind cannot be a vacuum so you have to fill it with God's Word. That's what renewing your mind is about. You do it by reading your Bible, going to church, listening to preaching and teaching of the Bible. You are not any better or worse than anyone else for ALL have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.
Jesus loves us always in our weakness He shows His strength.
Father, I thank You for all you have done, are doing and will do. Please comfort this young man, help him in his temptation and shed Your healing love abroad in capemaykids heart. in the name above ALL names,(above sickness,physical and mental,above desire, above all powers, above all thrones, above all strongholds) Jesus. Thank you Father and amen.

Hey I wrote a thread about a week ago on this.
I'm not writing from personal experience, so I can't really relate.
Regardless, I had noticed this topic comes up once in a while, and there are rarely any answers for it.
