i realize that is the standard reply.Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
O
That's a pretty strong verse, how can you fall from somewhere you never been?

Easy.

You find grace, And contemplate it. But never receive it,

Whats even more funny, Is you are promoting law, and not grace. and you can not see this verse is speaking directly to you.

No; someone who is lost, was never saved in the first place. Paul to the Philippians says, in chapter 1, 'He that hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ'.

They can't see this.

It is not us performing the work, It is God who performs the work. and his PROMISE to continue it until the day of Christ.

I guess they think we are strong than Christ himself. Sad!!

No. Legalism (which you are promoting) originated by twisting scripture.

You can put any kind of label you want on it, but that doesn't make it so. I'm promoting the scriptures and something called OBEDIENCE. Hebrews 5:8-9 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

The Lord's obedience was in the context that He is sinless.

Our obedience is 'the obedience of faith' (Romans 1.5; Romans 16.26).

your not promoting obedience my friend.

your promoting a salvation paid for by your work. If you work hard enough to be obedient, God will reward you with salvation. if you do not, he will reward you with judgment.

your teaching fear and law. which will never save anyone.

and you think that answers the question? It's a typical response from those who are mired in OSAS. Gods grace and salvation have always been conditional. I repeat, you can't fall from someplace you've never been. Gal. 5:4

...but Paul is not telling the Galatians: "you..you guys are fallen fro grace". He is using a logical argument, showing up an inconsistency.

Paul elsewhere is very strong on the true believer's eternal security.

he is telling them that if they continue down this path, they will FALL FROM GRACE.

and you think that answers the question?

No my friend. I do not think. I KNOW.

It's a typical response from those who are mired in OSAS. Gods grace and salvation have always been conditional. I repeat, you can't fall from someplace you've never been. Gal. 5:4

Gods grace has NEVER been conditional. Gods blessing to his children has ALWAYS been conditional. His eternal salvation has NEVER been conditional.

There is no conditional in the word grace. The word grace always means undeserved gift, or charity, which is NEVER CONDITIONAL. because it can never be earned.

Why do you want to try to earn a gift. More importantly. Why do you want to think God would ever look upon you and see you of your own power to be worthy of his love, when he demand nothing short of perfection. Paul did not see himself this way, He saw himself as a wretched man. WHy do you think you are greater than Paul? Or King David or any of the other sinful men we see God use??

On the contrary, you using the exact argument the pharisees used. Yuo want to think you are worthy, and in doing so, you fail to see your own depravity and unworthiness. And wish to judge us who know only know it. but see it in ourselves every day?

he is telling them that if they continue down this path, they will FALL FROM GRACE.

Not really.

What he is actually saying in the context is: If you go on depending on law-keeping and specifically circumcision, you won't be depending on grace alone.

Someone who lies and dies not depending on grace alone, has never had it.

he is telling them that if they continue down this path, they will FALL FROM GRACE.

No. He is telling them if they truely had faith in God, they woudl not continue down the path which could never save them.

He is warning against adding to the gospel of Christ. And teaching a different gospel. this is the warning. Anyone who teaches a different gospel. let him be accursed.

i would appreciate it if you would stop putting words in my mouth. It's quite dangerous to attempt to guess what someone believes and then pass it off as fact, and quite frankly, I resent it.
Heb. 10:26-27; Heb. 6:4-6; 2Pet. 2:20-21; jas. 5:19-20; if this discussion is to continue, we should confine it to the scriptures.

But we can unsave ourselves. But we can reject His gift.

You can't un-do the work God has done in you. If you could then you would be God. Because you would be more Powerful than Him.

Which is what you are saying, although I doubt you realize it.

I've heard people say that a person could give back their salvation. This is not possible. It would be like un-knowing something. Un-seeing things. Once you know, once you have seen you can't undo it.

Hebrews 13:5-6
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

I wouldn’t say that my eternal security means that I don’t have to do repent anymore.

Or that because when I was saved and born again (and I was) and I repent back than “in big big style” (forgive me this expression) and Jesus accepted me (yes He did), that it means that I don’t have to repent anymore.

Or that because Im walking daily every second in the grace of my Lord Jesus Christ and have certainty of mine little gold house up in the heaven waiting for me (as our elders used to say, I don’t care about gold house.. so again forgive expression) that I don’t have to daily repent.

I’m saved.

I’m sure that Jesus chose me before I was even born or my parents was born.. In fact I know that.
I have assurance of eternal life.

I know I will meet with my opa and oma and my other family in heaven together with Enoch, Abraham, Jonah, Jacob, Peter and with others (obviously I put my more liked ppl first)

I know that Im written into His palm. I belong to Him. In this moment.

This certainty (of mine) is the work of the Holy Spirit ... the Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God (rom816)

But I still do repent, I'm doing almost every day in the evening, I’m doing all-day inventory in my prayer. And He likes it. Yes, He do. I submit before Him my entire day. And He is close to me while I do that. I use to ask Him to let me show how He sees me. And He shows me.

I m doing that and I will continue do that because my Lord did that, too …and He was without sin, but He still did that. He brought whole entire day before His Heavenly Father. Everything He did or said, He consulted with His father. So I’m doing that too. And in case of need I repent. If you don’t, than your acts (sin) will follow you, it doesn’t matter if you are born again or no.

And this is not crucifying my Lord over again.

Repentance is not crucifying Him over.

Peter repented after he was born again. Why?
He didn’t know that Jesus already washed his sins on cross? Of course he knew that, but it doesn’t mean, that he (and we) should stop repent.

And although that Jesus said … of them which thou gavest me have I lost none (john), he also said .. work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (phil) and… he that is holy, let him be holy still (rev) and …ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy (lv)

It is process, we are fighting fight, our flesh is still alive even if we crucified. We will fight, we have to, Paul fought ..And if we will stop fighting, we will fall.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.rev.

be blessed

Jn 1:17 "law" refers to the law of Moses and "grace" refers to the NT law of Christ.

God never offered His grace unconditionally. People sin for they are under law which they transgress.
The righteousness of the law does not have the power to save the soul that sins, only the righteousness that came by the blood of the cross can do it and that is the mercy and grace of God in action. It was offered by our Lord unconditionally on Calvary but can only be received conditionally by faith and not through the works of the law. When we turn from our own works and trust in the work of the cross by faith, then we have truly repented and received the gift of eternal life that keeps us from perishing. Our sins were put on Jesus Christ's account and were all judged through his death and buried with him. Then on the third day he resurrected without sin that he might ascend to the Father. We now are justified and have his life by faith and have been saved unto the uttermost through the eternal redemption he obtained for us and that is the grace of God.

So its ok for you to do that (you have done it to me a few times now) But not ok for us to do it? Now your a hypocrite.

I know what you believe, I was in your shoes for decades. So do not try to tell me i do not know what you believe.

Fine.

John 3: 16, John 6. Eph 1- 3 etc etc..

Let not just look at passages taken out of context. But see which passages those passages contradict.

no, but you and I have a free will. I can turn my back on Christ and stop living for Him. Gods grace is not forced upon us . Sadly, many reject that grace.

That's a pretty strong verse, how can you fall from somewhere you never been?

I've never seen anyone show that a person could lose their salvation from these verses.

Its a very interesting point of view.

I wonder if falling from grace means you forfeit salvation? For example. Let's say someone is saved by the Lord Jesus Christ. And then due to their confusion they decide they must work at the law due to some confusion. Have they forfeited their salvation? Or did they just not get to know Grace as much as they could have?

I think that when the Lord saves someone that He saves them from falling from Grace as well. A person may go back to working at the law for a time, but if the Lord has saved them they will not stay in that condition forever. That is my thought.
